Just come back from eleven nights stay at the Bonamar. What can I say but what a great holiday we had.
The Hotel was super, we was more than pleased with all the facilities. The cleanliness of the Hotel was noticeable as soon as we walked in and this didn't let itself down when we went to our rooms, even though they where on the small side.
The staff where not as friendly as could of been, yet we found this all over the resort with the locals. The food was more than acceptable with a great choice each evening. We felt the bar prices where somewhat rather expensive compared to other hotel bars we visited.
Most guests in the Hotel where from the North, lovely people, most of whom had stayed at the Hotel before not just once but two or three times.
Location was ideal for both Cala Bona and Cala Millor, stuck for choice on which way to go. The beach in Callor Millor was the better of the two, even though there was no choice of water sports.
Recommend the Hot Air Balloon experience, be prepared to get up early though, but well worth it.
Had a really memorable holiday would recommend the Hotel and the area.
Loved our week long stay here,...

Loved our week long stay here, there were mostly older guests, but some younger ones too.
The food was lovely, although as a veggie it started to get a bit repetitive after only a week, but I still managed to eat every day. For non fussy people, it was a great range of food, my partner absolutely loved it.
The hotel is in a great location too. we never went to the beach in Cala Bona as the one in Cala Millor was just as easy to reach and bigger.
Rooms cleaned regularly and to a high standard. Staff almost all friendly, a few restaurant staff could be a bit snooty though.
So long as you're not looking for a boozy clubbing break, I recommend this area to anyone, and this hotel is top!

Stayed at the Bonamar in May 2006 for 2 weeks with my husband and 18 month old girl. ( My father has stayed 5 times and always goes on about how good it is!)
I would recommend this hotel as it is spotless, food was great with a different variety of choice each day and if you were still hungry you could go back for more.
The staff were only too pleased to help and were extremely helpful with my little girl.
The rooms were very clean and towels changed every day without fail. Beach towels can be rented from reception for a small deposit which is refundable and you can change every 3 days for clean towels (no need to take your own), plenty of sun loungers and parasols and very clean pools.
Rooms of a good size, TV remotes and room safe can be hired for a small charge.
We will definitely be returning.

Just returned from 2week holiday to hotel Bonamar, Calabona, second visit, disappointed this time with room had a ant problem, and decor in room was a very poor standard, felt Thompson reps were slightly unhelpful, about the situation, and phoned 24hr help line and got charged for it at the end of the holiday!
The entertainment was one of the best features of the hotel Carl, Michelle, Really Friendly, and very helpful.
Food not bad but not a great selection, mostly the same menu every night.
Would return again, as enjoyed company and guests very friendly.
Had booked taxis other end to take us to hotel, but found these delayed and didn’t make much difference getting to the hotel any quicker!, and going home only one taxi turned up when we had booked for 2.

Stayed 7 days at this hotel, travelling with Thompson. Located in Calla Bona but in a quiet part of the beachfront. A short stroll along a flat promenade takes you either to Calla Bona Harbour (good number of restaurants & bars) or Calla Millor (even more restaurants, shops and bars). Nearest SPAR shop is 100yds (out of the hotel & turn right) and is run by a very friendly Spanish / English Couple.
Our accommodation was excellent - we paid a little extra for a sea view, but well worth it - food ( based on UK requirements) and friendliness of staff was very good and they helped me set up a nice anniversary surprise for my wife. If you can habla a little Spanish, they’ll even help you with improvements! .
Thompson rep (Jamie) deserves a mention and his help and consideration setting up my anniversary surprise is greatly appreciated.
Hotel is well maintained and is very clean and has a lovely outdoor pool (and an indoor one as well) with kids pool attached. Entertainment team work hard and run daily events and there is a full evening programme as well.
You can hire a fridge (separate company but hotel will arrange it) costs in at 45 Euro’s per week though. Safe hire is 19 Euros (5 Euro refund on return of key) and you don’t need to take beach towels - they can be hired as well. Bar snacks available and are reasonably priced. Bar prices not bad either.
Took a mark off the total because of the grab a lounger grand prix that starts at eight sharp. When the London Olympics are held they want to recruit some of the UK competitors from this lot. - they should beat the Germans no bother! Problem is not the lack of loungers but the limited numbers that have a back that cranks up! Hotel has a sign up to discourage this behaviour but it’s not enforced.
Be prepared for a lengthy transfer, as the road to Manacor is currently being converted to motorway and road works abound. A rail link runs from Palma to Manacor (via Inca) if you want to have a cheap day return and local busses run near the hotel.
Overall a great break made by the hotel, its people and surrounds

We were looking for a cheap and cheerful holiday, on a budget, and by the sea. We booked 7 days before going and on a half board basis. Flights were only 2 hours, however the hotel is 45-60 minutes away from the airport. If you are hiring a car, you will find it easy to drive to the hotel.
Our room was clean, air conditioned, had sliding doors onto a balcony and double lined curtains to keep the cold in and the light out during the night. Our room had a TV, you will need to hire a remote control for in order to make it work, and a safe, which you will also need to hire a key. The total hire cost will be 15 euros, this is recommended and will be refunded at the end of your holiday.
All the hotel staff were English speaking, helpful and very friendly. Don’t take any towels, these are free for the beach or sun loungers. The food was excellent, a wide choice, we couldn’t fault it! The entertainment was good, a great family hotel with a kids club and activities all day. The beach is a 5 minute walk in either direction, both good quality. Loads of places to eat out at all close by.
If you are looking for a one off experience, we recommend a balloon ride, book before you go visit mallorcaballoons.com roughly £85 each but well worth doing.
Average price for a pint of beer was £1, a box of cigs £2 and vodka + coke £2 (but you get loads of vodka) Rebecca asked me “Is there anything you would have changed about this holiday” I thought about it and replied “Nothing”.
