- Advice: The beauty lies in the stunning beaches and coastline. Enjoy the view of Tolcarne Beach and the distant coastline from the stunning apartment/balcony and make sure to spend as much time as weather permits on the beach, walking, swimming, rock poolin

Single room with a cheap sofa/bed. Impossible to sleep due to the fact that the matras was 2 cm. We are close to 60 years young and of course we need a normal size bed and matras.
We had to buy airbags to survive. Later also 85 ounds was deducted from our creditcard because my wife have smoked a cigaret.
We are sure that the other appartments are nice and equiped with good furniture.

The apartment was stunning - really finished to a high standard. Couldn't leave the hot top on the roof- It was addictive! There's also a lovely property manager there called Nino who took great care of us when we had a little internet trouble. Its not too far to travel to Padstow and St Ives. Overall, we had no complaints! I went for a break with my hubby and a friend and we had a fab time. Can't wait to do it again next year.

We ( family of 4 including a 15 and 17 year old) have just returned from a week in Newquay, Cornwall, we stayed at a fantastic new development called Rocklands.
We booked online through a company called Blue Chip Vacations and unfortunately the images shown on their website at the time of booking were misleading, although the apartment we were allocated was very nice it was not what we were expecting.
Another disappointment was that both the bedroom windows outlook was onto the bottom of the High Street, we had great seaviews from the open plan living space, but at night we got to look at and try to sleep across from'amusement' arcades, bars, clubs, taxis ranks and worst of all the bus stops which at 3am in the morning had all the drunken revellers from the bars and clubs trying to board buses back to their campsites, arguing and jeering with the bus drivers who refused to let them board as they were so drunk!! it really was very noisy and this activity
actually woke us up most nights.
Then at 6 in the morning, and I know they have a job to do, but the bin men and their big noisy lorries would arrive! the situation was not helped by the choice of window dressings in the bedrooms, the vertical blinds continued the modern contempoary look I am sure the interior designers were going for, but from a comfort point of view they contributed nothing to help with the sound insulation or blocking out the light and glare from the million or so bulbs from the'amusement' arcade.
I would recommend that you make a reservation if you want to eat at Pizza Express as it is very popular and the Kahuna beach restaurant is worth a visit for their burgers alone.
What I did like about Rocklands was, the high specification fixtures and fittings, great bathrooms and showers, the locker space for wet suits and beach gear, the seaviews from the open plan living space, location to Tolcarne beach and the roof terrace hot tub (when it was working) and the underground secure parking.
Cornwall is beautiful, I have mixed feelings about Newquay, I wish I had been more aware of its bar, club and 18-30's culture.

We have just returned from a week at No 15 Rocklands. A 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment with AMAZING views from the living area and a small but very nice balcony. The apartment is bright, clean and modern. High spec fixtures and fittings with lots of storage space and spacious hallways, made it an extra special experience. Underground, secure parking and locker room for surf suits and boards and all you beach stuff and security access on all doors is all much appreciated. All the common areas (lobby, staircase and hallways) have automatic lighting and low level feature lighting. The flooring is all hi-shine hard floor tiles. The roof top hot tub is a real treat. OK so the view from the bedrooms is onto the street, but so what? the view from the living area is incredible - breathtaking. We'll be back :-)
