Having just spent a week there was not over impressed with it. General apperance it is tired and grubby outside brickwork. Bedroom again needs up dating, dust around bedside lamp horrid. Towels hard grubby and stained. Pool area very nice, sun worshippers had towels on... more

Just returned from this hotel - 22/05/11 very disappointed with our room, paid extra for a suite, was definitely not worth the extra. Food very good, staff very good, and very clean. I agree with others it does need an update and bringing up to scratch. We complained about... more

We have just returned from 1 weeks holiday, I think the Hotel was a bit run down and could do with a face lift. Our room was a ground floor apartment which did'nt get any of the sun, so our rooms were a bit damp and musty. When we dressed to go out for the evening we had... more

An Oasis Of Relaxation Palm trees and pine trees surround a fantastic pool, with loungers all around the grounds. People are feeling cool. It’s Hotel Picafort Park in the sun – a chill-out space, with various options for fun. All thanks to the ebb and flow of those who... more

I'm giving this hotel 4/10 which may seem harsh, but when you read on you'll see why, there are things that are important to us that will not affect other people. We are a couple in our early thirties, which normally in the gold hotels we have stayed in isn't a problem, but... more

Would defo recommend this hotel for couples 35+. First time at Picafort Parc last year and had a gloriously relaxing time. Am booking again for 2008 just for the relaxation alone. Staff very pleasant and polite, very clean rooms, pool guys a class act in themselves...watch... more

The following is not a complaint merely our own views and comments. The hotel is very, very good! We (my wife and I ) have been to the Picafort Park Hotel for the last two years. The first year was the second week of a cruise and stay and we thoroughly enjoyed the... more

The hotel is very quiet, basically the clientele are at the top end of the age range, just what we required for a quiet week away in a "gold" hotel. Neither my wife nor I smoke and were not expecting just how bad the hotel was for a non-smoker. All the oldies smoked, I am... more

Just returned from a two week stay at the Picafort Park. Had a relaxing time. We had a suite which was very clean and well decorated. We had a kettle and a fridge which was free very unusual, as we have had to pay extra for one before in a gold hotel. No tea and coffee... more

The hotel rooms were light and spacious with a large en suite bathroom, plenty of wardrobe space and a small fridge which was really handy and quite uncommon in hotel rooms. We couldn't have asked for more in terms of the facilities on site, the entertainment was first... more

And then it rained!
All in all we had a very enjoyable holiday and would go back again in the future. This was our first experience of going Gold, and we plan to repeat it again next time. We were suprised and delighted as to how friendly the other couples were. In the main the hotel rated between good and OK. The 3 reps were great fun, always with a big smile. The 2 hosts were OK, as we did not join in with thier activities they generally passed us by and went on to others they knew better. The hotel PR worked very hard in the restaurant but could have... more

It depends on what you pay for your stay here,me i would not pay more than £400 for a week inc flights,it is 3*,the average age is 55,yes it is quiet and relaxing, the food is well cooked but bland. The standard of the rooms,is not too bad but the cleaning of them is shall we say rapid!! Entertainment is basic of an evening,i am 58 and... more
Best holiday ever.
We have stayed in several Thomson Gold Hotels over the past few years and this one was the best so far. The location was good - not amongst the hustle and bustle of the reosrt itself but just far enough away for us to enjoy the walk after dinner along the sea front either to Can Picafort or the other way into St Baulo. The food was good and you could have as much or as little as you liked. The pool was excellent and not having kids jumping and splashing around was another bonus. We have already booked again for next year and we usually try... more
yummy
We had two wonderful weeks last year, the food was excellent so was the reps and the entertainment. ten minutes walk to the promenade were you could sit and have a drink and watch the world go by. I would recommend to any couple who want a laid back holiday with plenty of food and entertainment ten out of ten.
wit reply to the altringham couple
we were there the same time as the ALTRINGHAM COUPLE who have moaned about eveything ect...................well on that holiday all they did was moan at the staff, the people in the pool and even a young girl who tryed to help them with a PROBLEM,YES PROBLEM on how to open a sun bed, i think these people were born with a silver spoon up there backsides and think that when there on holiday they should have what they want , everyone else enjoyed eveery minute of it, apart from these two, the hotel is lovely , relaxed, clean and food... more
Rubbish
My husband and I stayed here for a week in lieu of our honeymoon that had to be postponed. I have to agree with the previous review and I would never go with Thomson Gold again! On arrival we realised very quickly that this is a 3 star establishment, barely even making that rating. We are both 31 and just wanted some relaxation, but I have never come across a place with such a stagnant atmosphere. The facilities were okay, basic but clean. It was SO quiet around the pool that you could hear a man eating his crisps on the second floor... more
What a Joke... Waste of Money... Thomson Gold! laughable
It cost £1200 for myself and my girlfiend to spend a week in this dump. Thomson Gold Holidays are supposed to be aimed at Adults looking for good quality accomodation and high standards, the Picafort Park Hotel is a joke, firstly the food is miserable and the usual buffet con ie cheap cuts of meat in cheap sauces, veg that has seen better days... Desserts that are bought in and stacked up to offer some bonus to disgruntled diners... Breakfast that is put out at night and left around until morning so you can then enjoy the cheap slices... more
Nice and quiet, great staff!
My partner and I are in our mid 20's, we were the youngest couple at this hotel but chose it over others because my partner is a nurshry nurse and we wanted to enjoy a quiet peacefull holiday with no children running amock amoungst us. The entertainment was more for the older clientel, but they did have a few really good acts on which we enjoyed, we stayed for 2 weeks and the main caberet was not repeated during our stay. The warm up act "Track 2" were more of a warm down act but the rest of the guest seemed to enjoy them, very nice... more
Excellent...!!
I know I`m about 6 moths or so late at posting this message " but better late than never..!!! ". My wife and I stayed at Hotel Picafort Park in August / September 2005, and I have to say it has been the best holiday I have ever been on. The Hotel itself was immaculate and nothing you ever asked for was demed to be a problem by any member of staff & Holiday Reps. Accommodation was excellent clean and spacious with pool or sea view depending what block your booked into. Facilities at this location were very good...large... more
A good place to stay, except........
My wife and I are in our early 60's and enjoyed our 2 weeks at this hotel very much. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious and kept very clesn. It was great to return to the hotel at any time of day and find plenty of sunbeds and space. The food in the restaurant was excellent with plenty of choices. The location is good if you are reaqsonably fit as there is a considerable distance to the town centre of C'an Picafort. There are buses available all day from outside the hotel but very often they were full and... more
