I travelled with Classic Collection holidays.
I am only JUST in my forties and I can quite see why someone would want to go to this hotel in their 30s and just never come back. It is slightly old fashioned but that is part of its charm. The owners Lorraine & Martin Xamena are lovely & are very hands on, this is about to be my 7th visit. The staff have been there years and nothing at all is too much trouble. The staff recognise you from one year to the next and it is nothing to be greeted with a kiss on both cheeks like a dear friend.
The beach area is just delightful with pool bar and beach restaurant providing unobtrusive service. The evening meals are very Mallorcan yet both good value and good quality. In the evening the lounge entertainment caters for a range of tastes though if loud & noisy clubs are what you are after then go into town instead.
Most rooms have a sea view and are adequately appointed. Everything is comfortable rather than sumptuous.
I have visited this hotel both alone and as part of a party and I have always been made welcome and looked after & return home very rested - what more could you ask for?

My wife and myself booked the holiday needing a well deserved rest. We were assured by our travel agent that the Bon Sol was excellent. When we arrived we were blown away. The brochure and internet certainly didn't do the hotel any justice.
IT WAS SUPERB! Extremely friendly, helpful staff, immaculately well presented, food was of a very high standard with huge variety for breakfast and evening meals. Every meal was excellent during our stay. The room was fantastic with stunning sea views overlooking miles of coastline. The facilities were second to none with everything you require to help you unwind. The swimming pools were very clean and all heated.
WE WILL RETURN without any hesitation and would have no problem recommending the Bon Sol to anyone looking to visit Mallorca.

This Hotel is very traditional and a little old fashioned but this is what makes it so endearing, no noisy rowdy entertainments all day, just a beautiful little private beach, a heated pool, quiet places to read or sunbathe.
Our young children were looked after by the lovely tem of nannies, playing mini golf/giant chess or games in the little playroom, the food was superb, especially the lovely beach restaurant with guitar music - our room was dated but soooo comfortable - proper sprung mattress, comfy armchairs, complimentary slippers and robe, kettle, etc. and BBC channels!!!
The staff have been there forever and are wonderful, especially Eugene, bless him, he insisted on squeezing my oranges into juice for me at breakfast!!! We have recommended to everyone who wants a quiet, relaxing, good quality holiday (not cheap but you get what you pay for!!!)

The Bon Sol is a strange hotel. My partner and I thought we had stepped into a time machine. Some of the guest appear to have come here when they where in their 30's and stayed on to retire.
Best aspects of the hotel are it’s excellent Spa and steam room. We had it to ourselves and it really was fantastic. The hotel’s private beach was also a plus as is the pool - although the water is freezing even on the hottest of days.
Where the hotel lets itself down is in terms of service in the restaurants. At times it feels like Fawlty Towers with order going astray, waiters loosing their rag and a strange sense of chaos settling on the place.
But just relax, it is fun and it certainly is a real find.
