I would simply advise all families avoid. The remaining 75 caravans from the 450 static units in Park Resorts ownership are dilapidated, mould ridden and far from acceptable. For those considering bronze accommodation, be prepared to accept the engrained dog hair. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Directions to our caravan were useless.Inside the caravan the carpets were filthy and bread rolls left from previous guests were left above the cooker.Complained 2 times about a faulty carbon minoxide alarm,a battery was possibly what was needed to stop the beeping EVERY MINUTE 24 HRS A DAY. Disgraceful that such a vital alarm could be dis-regarded and not put right.Complained at desk and given no apologises. After our return we had a letter from the park, saying 'because we had not gone back after the first two times they thought it was sorted'Did they not have a log to see whether it had been fixed or they should have left a note asking us to contact them to confirm it was fixed. The letter also stated it as 'a simple basic maintenace issue' health and safety would have been a better description. If this is the disregard they show for the guests safety I hate to think what goes on behind the scenes.Never again and would not recommend this resort.

on arrival at the park we were told that the carpet was still damp as it had been washed which we could live with as it dried in a couple of hours, the next day the fire broke and an engineer was sent who said he would be back in the morning with new parts also we had no hot water for most of the week as the pilot light on the boiler kept going out again this was reported but nothing was sorted on the tuesday we reported that the toilet was leaking on the floor and 3 engineers came out and had about as much skills as homer simpson between them.Within minutes of them leaving we found that the problem was now worse we reported it again to which we were told that they would sort it out again by now it was friday and it was only when we told them we had had enough we were offered a new caravan but we had already packed up to go home as sewage was now leaking into the bedroom and was becoming inhabitable we were then told by the duty manager that she would visit the caravan before we left but we waited until 4:30pm and she never arrived and none of the weeks problems had been fixed also we had to put up with the smell if sewage as it was being pumped by a noisy pump just across from the caravan as the whole sewage system was backed up on the park.

First impressions poor and it only got worse. Lack of signage at the resort meant we spent 15 minutes searching for our allocated caravan. Once located we were met with an old dirty rag, one old shoe and a dirty old clothes airer waiting to greet us at the front door. Inside was no better, the bed linen provided was dirty and stained and there was a strong unpleasant smell throughout the caravan. A complaint was made, the staff promised x y and z but delivered nothing and sales manager was as much use as a chocolate fireguard.
The caravan itself was dated and in need of refurbishment or better still replacing.
I can not comment on the site facilities as we didnt stay long enough to sample them
My advice is stay clear and dont even consider as a last resort.

Not one of the best sites, but not one of the worst. We were again told check in would not happen until 4pm, but this time it was actually written on a board propped up against reception. Presumably if you went in and agreed to pay for an upgrade, you would get into your caravan straight away, but we didn't bother. What has happened to the old days, when providing your accommodation was ready earlier, reception would let you have your keys? We booked via the Sun cheap holidays, and have to say the accommodation was good for the price. I can't really comment much on the entertainment, as it was really non existent. I don't really blame the site for this, as when we went in on the first night, there were only a handful of people in there (in July???) Maybe as hardly anyone bothered to go in there, the staff couldn't be bothered to do much, or maybe nobody bothered going as the entertainment was so poor, but I will give Park Resorts the benefit of the doubt. It was Karaoke, but being performed by members of staff in rotation, and they announced at the end of the evening that the following night was - Karaoke. We gave up and went to a local pub in the village. However, the park is nice and clean, but don't bother going if you want to go to a park with all the amenities thrown in, it is best used as a base to explore West Norfolk.

We stayed at heacham for 5 days , We had to chase them up on the first night
for bedding it was gone 11pm we then had to make up the beds ourselfs then the rude and quite frankly can’t be bothered staff followed by even ruder door staff all in all we will not be using park resorts ever again as for a nice meal out i would recomend the siver sands bar / diner on the north beach 10/10 for them .!!!
