The Inn at Key West

This is a beautiful hotel, but the major problem is the service. The staff at the bar, the restaurant, and the pool was just fine, but I had nothing but attitude problems from the staff at the Front Desk. We were paying over $300 per night for a Deluxe Room and so we expected Deluxe service, but that was not the case. When we asked if there were any good restaurants in the area (since the on-site restaurant was closed), we were told No. Then they suggested the Grocery Store, Publix, next door. Very nice hotel. Away from the downtown area and Duval street and so nights were quiet. Nice pool area and restaurant with other restaurants close by. If you're looking for something within walking distance of the action this hotel isn't it but if you want clean, quiet, nicely decorated, escape from the crowds this one works very well. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is very nice, with an awesome pool area. As others have written: mature tropical foliage surrounding pool area. Lovely! Very accommodating staff. This property, however, is an updated motel, and it shows. Lovely furniture and more upscale bedding/towels are placed in average motel-style rooms: upscaled features (mahogany furniture, nice bathroom fixtures, granite countertops, plasma TV, etc), but size and overall feel is no different from an "average" motel room. Hi..My family stayed here overnight as part of our Florida trip. This hotel was beautiful..located across the street from the Gulf of Mexico. The lobby appeared to have been recently redone and was attractive. Check-in was easy. Our room was done in Tommy Bahamas style...two double beds..mahogany stained furniture and double doors to the bathroom. A 42 inch plasma TV also. We booked the hotel for part of our New Years' extravaganza. We gave our credit card number over the phone and was told we would be charged for the entire trip in advance. That was fine - no problem. When we arrived to check-in, the lady at the front desk said that we had not paid for the room. We looked for our receipt, found it and showed it to her and she still said we had not paid for the room. It was New Years and nothing else was available. Just returned from key west in early febuary . this hotel is very very nice clean modern lovely pool and hot tub. This hotel has had lots of money spent on it and you can tell its lovely. Their is a courtesy bus to duval street every hour untill midnight but its $18 per day. (it should be free). However their is free internet in the lobby and free sweets on the reception desk so ill let them off. My only complaint was a shop nearby which i thought was a sweet shop it turned out to be a seedy adult video shop. But on the whole... more

This hotel must have been completely remodeled because the earliest traveler posted photos on this site no longer apply. Our room was very nice and absolutely spotless. Nice designer toiletries and free morning newspaper. Our room overlooked the pool which was lovely! The grounds were very nice - lush and tropical around the pool. The hotel is accross from the Gulf of Mexico. There is a great scooter rental place nearby. We rented a scooter for 4 days and went everywhere. The room was very nice. All staff was helpful except for the lady that sets up tours and other services. She was very rude to us and we sat in the lobby and witnessessed on several occasions her being rude to others. As she spoke with people she would talk about them after they left. In a less than nice manner. Not very professional in my opinion. Everything else was great! The free Shuttle service provided by the hotel was wonderful. The drivers were friendly and helpful in recommending restaurants, tours etc... MW/DM Ohio

I love this hotel! I recently visited Key West for New Years and decided to stay at three different hotels for two nights each just to get the experience of what is out there. This hotel was far, far above my experiences at the other equally priced hotels. I stayed in the Terrace roon and our friends stayed in a poolside room. Both rooms were great! The terrace room had an exceptional restroom with a glass enclosed shower with a 42" LCD TV in the main room. It had a decent sized fenced terrace along the pathway to the pool area.<br... more

My wife and I visited Key West on 11-26-06 as part of a three city Florida vacation which started in St. Augustine (due to a family wedding) and ended in Miami. This hotel was THE most pleasant surprise of the whole week. The grounds were filled with beautiful, lush foliage; the pool was big, warm and spectacular; the room, a superior King was great.
