Mandalena ApartHotel

We have just returned from a two-week stay at the Mandalena. We found the hotel to be basic but very clean. Our room was on the top (third) floor so it was quite quiet up there. The rooms were cleaned everyday. The room has a kitchenette with a fridge and two oven rings. There was a kettle and plates and cutlery etc, incuding a corkscrew. There was no hairdryer in the room. There is the option of air conditioning which was 14 euros a week (which seemed quite cheap to us...) The room was quite big and we had a balcony overlooking the pool.... more

Well, the three of us (my wife, and our 11 year old son) arrived at the very end of June 2006 and stayed for 8 days. From the first moment, which was 01.30 in the morning, we were made to feel very very welcome indeed. Tony and his wife, who ran the bar and kitchen, were, to say the least, fantastic. The reception staff, one of them being a kind lady from Wales by the way, were helpful at ALL times, and the service in the apartment was EXCELLENT. me and my husband stayed there for two weeks this summer and i have to say that it was the best two weeks of my life.. i loved it.. and i want to go back..

Me and my girlfriend went here on a last minute deal and it was allocated on arrival. We had to stay in ayia napa the first night we were there, we werent impressed but ayia napas nightlife cheered us up. Second night, we were placed in the mandelena, we were well and truly impressed by these aparments. So big and lovely pool. Our room was actually a family room and not a studio so the size of the room was huge, you got a balcony also which had some class views of the beach. It was also very clean and maid service was quick and efficent.... more

We stayed here in August 05 and lasted two nights of our planned weeks holiday. We actually booked another hotel from an internet cafe and left on our third day. The hotel apartments were not as shown in their brochure photo's. We found dirt everywhere, round the edges of the pool, in the make shift restaurant (basically plastic furniture with a canopy arrangement), and worst of all in our room.
