Myself and my husband went to the Haiti for 2 weeks and then my mom joined us for our second week. This was our third year at the Hotel Haiti and once again we had a fantastic time.
This friendly hotel offers excellent value for money. The rooms are basic but are spotlessly clean and the food offers something for everyone. The breakfasts are excellent. I do agree that the evening meals can sometimes get a bit repetitive but you get that wherever you go so we tend to eat out a couple of times.
The pool area is excellent with plenty of sunloungers.
Ca'n Picafort itself is a lovely resort.
If you turn right out of the hotel and then right again and head towards the beach you will find a few British Bars. Mo's Bar is the first one you come to and this was new this year. Personally it was not our cup of tea. If you carry on down on the same side you will come to the London Pub. What can say! This is a fantastic little place and the lunchtime food is excellent. My husband recommends the Corn Beef Baguette! Alex and his family cannot be more welcoming and a laugh is had by all during the evenings. Be prepared for Alex to play lots of tricks on you!
Another nice British Bar is Anne & Neils on the opposite side of the road and I would recommend trying a meal in here when you are fed up with the hotel food.
All in all the Hotel and resort are fantastic and I would highly recommend it! We will be booking for next year again soon!

i have just returned from a 2 week holiday in the hotel haiti and it was fantastic!!!!! everything was always clean and everything we wanted was done as soon as the could, we attended the welcome meeting and found out lots of info we didnt already know, we booked our first excusion thru the reception.....BIG MISTAKE!!!!!! they use a company called "no thrills" and our guide could barley speak english and was so unorganised, it ruined the day as she had no idea wot she was doin, so we booked our 2nd trip with our reps, and it was fantastic, we went on the pirates with them and our rep Tony took us and he was so funny and everything was well organised, pirates by the way is the best thing u will ever see so i do recomend it, we then booked 3 more trips through the reps, mega day which was brill, the medevil night which was also very good and the orange blossom trail which was amazing, these trips were only a few more euros expensive but it was well worth it!
All in all a great holiday, fantastic reps and would recomend 2 everyone

One of the best ever holidays ive been on and will certainly be returning again. The hotel was very clean and tidy, bar staff seemed ok,a little rude at times but overall it was very nice, the only problem was the beds,i stubbed my toes several times on the metal feet of the bed as the sheets drapped over it,i later found that many other people had the same problem with there toes BEWARE! Apart from that i had a great holiday and cant wait to return again to this beautiful island.

Just got back, and want to be back there now! What a fantastic holiday! The hotel food was lovely, there was daytime activities for the kids and good entertainment in the evening. The hotel was very clean and the maids were very nice. The beach was just a 5 min walk and what a lovely long beach it was. We hired 2 sun loungers with the umbrella and it was 8.50 euro. The locals were friendly and we really enjoyed going to a bar on the beach front called Jamaica, just loved the cocktails!! There was also lots of English bars close by. When you read up about the resort being more for the Germans (like we did), its not as bad as what people make out, everyone was made welcome.
We would recomend this hotel to anyone, especially families. We would go back to this hotel again.

Fanastic holiday from start to finish.
Departures were on time and landed ahead of schedule both ways.
All the hotel staff were happy, helpful and very polite.
The hotel is kept spotlessly clean, the food was very well cooked and presented with a more than adequate selection available every day.
The pool is inviting and cooling and there's always a sunbed to be had.
The kids entertainers Amy & Gavin were superb.
The evening entertainment was of a good standard. (Although the Rod Stewart tribute loved himself a little too much!!)
The only reason I can't give 12/10 for the hotel was the amount of smoke in the bar, some nights it was quite over-powering, if they'd just fit a few extractor fans I'm sure it would make it a lot more comfortable for the non-smokers but more so for the children(or better still make the smokers go outside same as in England).
The location is good, no noise at night, and a 4-5 minute stroll to a clean beautiful 10 mile long golden beach with stunning views of the mountains that cradle the clear waters. You can hop out through the gentle waves 100 yards and the water is still only waist height.
All the bars and eateries along the beach front, and the roads leading to it, are pretty much the same, but as they are competing for your custom it is all a good standard.
We took two excursions, the Orange Blossom Trail and Western Water Park in Magaluf, both great days out.
Okay, Thomson excursions are slightly more expensive than booking locally, but all the people on the Thomson excursions new exactly what they were doing and where they going, rather than some of the holiday-makers on the "No Frills Excursions" who asked us where they were and what happens next!!!!
The views on the journey up through the mountains on the orange blossom trail are absolutely breath-taking.
If you go to Western Water Park (not to be confused with Aqualand Water Park) in Magaluf, make sure you do not miss Olivers Water Show, slap-stick and dare-devil diving...
We will definitely book again for next year through Thomson and at Hotel Haiti again...... despite the smoke.

We stayed at the Haiti Hotel for one week there were 6 of us in our party. The hotel itself was very good, clean and tidy. We went half board but was very disappointed with the food. The breakfast was ok, but the evening meals were very selective for particular taste buds, we only ate in the hotel 3 times in a whole week.
The staff at the hotel aren't the best especially behind the bar & the reception desk. The room maids are the most pleasant. Even the Thomson reps weren't very good, they were the worst reps that we'd ever had on a thomson holiday.
Other than the points we have made we can't fault the hotel in any other way. The rooms were fine & the pool was very good.
We found a very nice cafe/bar on the main street towards the beach called ANNE AND NEILS which we used everyday for lunch & for the evening meals that we didn't eat in the hotel. We highly recommend people to visit ANNE AND NEILS as the service & food are fantastic. We always got a very friendly welcome & so did every other customer that came in.

This was my first holiday abroad for 10 years. Although my girlfriend and the other couple that joined us had been away a few more times than i had.
We were recommended this hotel by thomson for the type of holiday that we were looking for.
The hotel was very clean thanks to the happy har working maids who cleaned the rooms daily to a high standard. All members of staff were very friendly and made our stay very enjoyable. A special mention should be made to david the barman..this man is a legend!!
The day time activities in the hotel were fun to begin with but by the end of the 10 days we found them a bit repetitive. Water polo every day was followed by postcard making for the children. The daily pool side quiz was a good point and there were no questions repeated during our stay. Evening entertainment was good and varied from elvis tribute and karoke to comedy acts. One night i was volunteered to stand up against a wooden board and had knives thrown at me by a couple of clowns. I later found out that it was totally safe but at the time was quite scared for my life!!!!
Can Picafort itself is a lovely town with a variety of shops and a beach of golden sand which was only a ten minute walk from the haiti. The various english bars all held there own entertainment and we recommend bar No.1 to anybody wanting to watch live sport. The owner Juan is a nutcase and is side kick is also a nice bloke.
All in all our holiday was brilliant and we would reccomend this place to anybody.... especially if spain win the euros again as the streets were full of partying spaniards as well as english. The germans were also very good losers to!!!

what a holiday, i got to tell you it was fantastic. im from a working class background, one weeks holiday a year, and i just wanted to stay. all the staff just wanted to help all the time (and not for tips) nothing was to much. the food was good, the bar staff was fantastic, the entertainmant was good, the hotel was spotless clean there was lots of things for the kids to do, top man in the building was 'paco' the head of the dinner hall, magic bloke. all ways making sure the dinner hall ran like clock work, never short of food. now if you come out the hotel and turn right and right again walk down the left hand side of the road you will come across ann and neils bar. mate they are the salt of the earth
i cant beleave how nice thay are. and if you like your food like i do thats the place for you. good english scram. tell them nick from bristol sent you, you might get one on the house. then when you go you are less than 4 mins from the beach, and what a beach it is. it was 36 in the shade. i still can't get over how nice my holiday was. i will go back,
ps
all that crap about kids running around is clap trap, yes there are kids and they are on holiday too so its simple if you don,t stay away
but no matter what the other revews say they are not that bad. hope you have a nice one too

l have been coming to Can Picafort for the last 3 years and love the resort, the beach and bars are wonderful. This was my first time staying at the Hotel Haiti and l was pleasantly surprised after reading some of the bad reviews l wasn't sure what to expect but the hotel was clean and the food was very nice and plenty of it. The rooms are basic but comfortable and the bed legs are not as bad as some people have made out as long as you are aware of it you tend to be careful.
The Spanish staff are really friendly and helpful but the English girl who worked on the reception was most unhelpful and not friendly and it seemed almost an effort for her to answer a question.
The lifts are way too small and not really big enough for more than 3 people, hotel gets very noisy at night especially if you are over the entertainment area. Lots of good bars and places to eat in the town, most bars have entertainment and drinks are much cheaper than in the hotel.
Weather was disappointing this year as only had 2 days of sun at the end of the week and also had rain and thunderstorms, but that is not the norm for Majorca as previous years it has been very hot.
All in all me and my friend had a good holiday and l will be coming back again next year.

After reading some of the reviews on this website we were a little apprehensive but never the less we had booked for our 10 days so off we were going.
We arrived at the hotel at 8pm and so we never missed out on our evening meal the reception asked us to have our meal and return later to book in, the restaurant finished evening meals at 8.30pm so a very kind gesture indeed.
I for one am very fussy about hotels, as I do expect a certain standard and this hotel ticked all the right boxes, the friendliness of the staff, the standard of cleanliness throughout the whole hotel. The presentation and choice of meals superb and tempted even the fussiest people in our party…me!! lots of choice and a good variation everyday over the 10 days.
The pool which was heated and divided into two the smaller part for the children and the larger for the adults was positioned perfectly and the nearby drinks & snacks bar was very convenient at times.
Ania who works in the restaurant in the evenings was great with the kids she was a star, thanks again Ania.
The entertainment was of a great standard, something for everyone’s taste, the kids disco for ½ hour every night so all ages from the small kids to the larger kids (adults).
The maid service was again of a high quality, the rooms always seemed to cleaned and tidied before 11am every morning.
Only one negative about this hotel, the lifts are inadequate, 2 small (4 person) lifts for a hotel of this size is not enough, although the stairs are a great form of exercise especially if like us you are on the fifth floor.
The Haiti is placed close to many shops and bars, and yes we went to visit the Sunburnt Arms as recommended by so many reviews, but not much fun its now closed, however lots of other bars to choose from especially Mo’s bar about 50 yards from the hotel and Trotters on the Beach down on the sea front. I recommend you pay a visit to both and many others too..
My suggestion, ignore the negative reviews on this site and go visit this destination, overall great value for money.. The G’s from Suffolk

I have also just returned from a 2 week holiday in the hotel haiti and i must say the hotel can not be faulted at all, the rooms r a very nice size and were always cleaned very well by the maid, the pool area is nice and the pool is quite large and was always fun wen we thru the reps and entertainers in haha as i remember it was the reps birthday (tony) i fink he went in and out of that poool god knows how many times. the entertainment was of a good standard with lots of singing acts, my fav was robbie williams coz he did other sings aswell as jus robbie, the food was very nice, the brekfast had the best sausages i have eva had and the evening meal was nice but as we were there 2 weeks repeated itelf a little bit but was always nice, the receptoin was nice and they were always friendly and we got a late check out for only 20 euros which was cheaper than wot it is in england!!!!! the reps were fantastic, always there 2 help, wen i needed a doctor they got 1 sorted straight away and he came right up tp the room and they sorted all our insurance out for us and helped us fill out all the forms needed. We did book some excusions, we booked our first with the reception as they were a little bit cheaper but as james said.....BIG MISTAKE the girl who worked for NO THRILLS had no idea wot 2 do and got all the tickets in a mess and our driver took over 2 and a half hours 2 get to somwhere which shud of taken less than an hour!!!! so we again booked our next trip with the reps and it was so much easier.....everything was sorted and we got picked up right outside the hotel which was great and very convienent, we also had a rep on board who was our rep Tony and he was very well organised and made us laugh all the way 2 pirates with his great lord mellion speech and chant, but was def well worth about an extr 3 euros each 2 go with the reps and lots of there trips involved food aswell which the hotel doesnt!
sorry for the length of this review but wanted to say everything i felt i needed to say, great hotel, fantastic reps, Tony and Andrea keep up the good work!
