Myself and my husband came back from this holiday on sunday(2 days ago) having previously going 3years ago and loving it.We can only say it has got so run down and cannot cope with all inclusive, when we went 3 years ago it was half board. We always go same time of year as it quiet and booked in febuary as i have been very ill needed to get away,we didn,t want two many kids around as we don,t have any and asked about this when booking, there were only a few last time.We were told the hotel had had a refurb, and had a snack bar,all included.
We soon realised after getting there we wanted to come home,no refurb, only 1 pool, instead of the 2 originally, millions of kids, not many couples, mainly large groups and families. There were estimated 1000+ people in hotel and maybe 100 sunbeds,so in the day we often, due to people getting up early and putting up to 7 towels out for whole familys ended up paying for a sunbed on beach or walking about in heat all day.Consequently spending £100,s extra as we often brought meals drinks out.The same applied to the night seating around the bar.The entertainment was very poor comparing it to 3years ago(very holiday camp).
The food was below average and every other peice of crockery you picked up had remenents of food stuck to it and they reguarly ran out of cups and glasses. There was no snack bar as such, just some chemical cake served for an hour in the afternoon and a small selection of ice creams. Not what i would call a snack bar at all!
Drinks at night also poor,no cocktails, not even pure orange juice, all in plastic glasses, queues far to long. All the above especially sunbeds, saving chairs led to confrontations, fights etc which we weren,t involved in but which led to us spending hardly any time in the hotel.
Reps were aproched on this by us and other people but didn,t really have a very good attitude and were very disorganized. My husband was told "Your wife isn,t enjoying herself because she doesn,t want to"and "You go home sunday don,t u,bet u can,t wait".Signs were up around the hotel saying any towels put out before 8am or left more than half an hour would be removed but not enforced, but to be honest we went down in a morning and if there weren,t any(we came down 7.30-8am)we went, rep wasn,t ther til 9.30am.At night if u were luky enough to get a seat, you couldn,t go to bar or toilet as u would lose it.Bar/toilet/lift areas were often dirty with melting ice creams, spilt drinks etc in my opinion due to staff being overwelmed, there were several accidents while we were there of people slipping. On the plus side the rooms were very clean and staff friendly, although none as cheery as last time.
It was also obvious to me and my husband that the hotel had become more family entoriated, had we been told this we would not have booked but we weren,t dispite asking.
We were advised by one of the reps"maybe we should have gone 4 star".Open to this suggestion we did some reserch in resort and found far superor 3 stars to the haiti.

returned from a great holiday in Hotel Haiti a couple of weeks ago. I cannot praise the staff at the hotel enough, they were always helpful and cheerful and worked very hard. This is a very clean hotel, could probably do with A bit of updating, but otherwise no complaints.
You do have to get up early to get a sunbed or else you won't get one! The reps are very good though as they go around and take all towels off of sunbeds that aren't being used. The food at mealtimes was fantastic - plenty of variety and different things on different nights, would definetely go all inclusive again. Hotel is in an excellent location 10 mins from the beach and 5 mins from the bus stop to alcudia. Has a supermarket accross the road also.
The beach at C'an picafort is lovely, you can walk out quite far in the sea as it is shallow for quite a distance, also aludia beach is nice, has plenty of watersports and cafes/toilets on the beach - (you can catch the number 2 bus to Alcudia from just outside the hotel to the right cost 4.50 euros for 2 adults and one child one way)
Carols Bar in C'an picafort is nice, found the owners to be really friendly and welcoming and they have quite a lot going on there. (turn right out of the hotel and right again)
C'an Picafort itself is a lovely resort, there are bars all along the seafront, the shopping area is pedestrianised and there are some really nice boutiques there.
The thompson reps were great! had activities at the hotel daily and were really helpful if you needed anything. Josh and Jade are born entertainers - lovely people!
A must see if you havn't seen it before is the pirates adventure, i had sent this in 1994 and went back again this year, still a fabulous show for all ages, it is the 2nd top show in Europe and if you go along you will see why!
am already looking at going back to Hotel Haiti and C'an Picafort and don't normally go back to the same place!

Just came back from hotel haiti after 2 weeks,we travelled with one 7 year old and one baby.our room was very small, we could not get the buggy thru the room due to the cot being there, when getting ready we done it in shifts. The food was ok but we did eat out half the time.the entertainment was average with a couple of good shows(xerox being the best).not really much to do for my 7 year old in the day,but we was never round the pool due to no sunbeds,it was laughable, people waiting from 7-7.30am,how sad.we went to the beach mostly which was very nice.we wasn't to impressed with the bar staff, but the canteen staff were ok.most of the time, some of the bar staff(not all)were quite rude, and they used to tell you to come inside at 12 and then turn all the lights off.The reps were ok and tried hard, but they stopped the bingo in the second week(DON'T KNOW WHY)and they got rid of josh the entertainer, who seemed quite good.also there were a few unruly families there(brits abroad)letting there kids run riot.the second week seemed a bit better.I think the problem is that this has just turned into a all inclusive hotel from being half board last year.all in all a good resort, but would not return to hotel.

Just returned from the haiti hotel, had such a fab holiday.Great weather. 41 in the shade. The staff were so lovely, anything they could do they would.Clean towels and bedlinen everyday. My room overlooked the pool and main road. You don't hear alot of noise from either.I travelled alone and can honestly say that even though i really enjoyed myself, it caters for families more. It is true about the sun-loungers, you need to be up at 7 so that when the doors open at 8 you can get a bed.I always found a spare 1.The beach is so lovely to relax on,6 euro's for a bed and umbrella, well worth it. Safes are 15 euros a week and ladies you need to take a hairdryer.Took me about 10-15 mins walk to beach.Out of hotel right then right again. No tv in room but by the time you get back in from beach or pool its time to get ready for the evening entertainment.

I have just returned from a 2 week holiday to the haiti.
The pool is a lot smaller than it looks in the brochure, it's very deep. Being so small i was quite surprised you could have lilo's in there because with all the lilo's there's no room left. The restuarant was a nice size to accommodate the size of the hotel. There was a sickness bug going around that was being covered up really well, which i found out to my dismay, i only found out when i over heard alex the rep talking about it. The entertainment was c**p even though they tried very hard but only having 2 entertainment reps you couldn't expect much more. The bar staff in general were ok but there was a couple of rude ones. The rooms are small but ok and clean. The maid service was ok if she remembered to shut your door when she left. My air con decided to burst a pipe in my room which i found when i returned and slipped right across the room, i reported it and someone came up 4 hours later to fix the pipe. The hotel itself is in a prime location to everything. The beach and shops are only a walk down the road and carols bar (which is fantastic) is 2 mins walk away. We spent a lot of out time here in the evenings as it was so boring at the hotel. The way the hall is situated for the entertainment is silly because you have concrete collumns stuck in the middle of the hall and if you dont get one of the three centre seating areas then you cant see nothing. All in all i can't say i didn't have a nice time but that was mainly due to the party i was with and the people we met, but i can say i wouldn't go back again. i have never been on a bad thomson holiday but i can honestly say this was an eye opener.

Stayed here quite recently with my hubby and our 8yr old grandaughter, all I can say is that anyone who slates this hotel has never been to a bad one. From 1st arriving we were greeted with nothing but kindness and that includes from the highest to the lowest in the pecking order who we came into contact with. The Thomson team and by that I mean both Alex and Emily welcomed all us newcomers and as for Jade and Josh the hotel entertainers, WOW is all I can write, where they get there energy from beats me, I'm still singing I'm a little yellow fish even now I'm back home haha. If you want a fun packed holiday then I would advise anyone with children to head for here, But if its a quiet holiday that you are wanting, then please turn the page in the brochure and dont go. I would certainly re-book to go back if I was to take a child or children with me again. The only things you have to be careful of is the pool which is deep even around the sides, the four sets of steps leading down into the pool would benefit from having a central handrail for getting both in and out of it, plus the bed legs stick out and they can really hurt if your feet come into contact with them by mistake. I pulled the mattresses further down away from the bed head and found this was very helpful.

I stayed in hotel haiti in june this year and although the weather was awful the holiday wasnt! The hotel was clean an the rooms were cleaned daily. The staff were friendly and the entertainers were great, myself and family miss josh and jade very much!!! The two reps emily and alex were also great and very friendly, alex taught my nephew how to swim and on his day off, so a big thankyou to him. Josh, Jade, Emily and Alex made the holiday more fun by being involved with everyone, they done activities with both adults and children and even got chucked in the pool quite a few times! All in all it was agreat holiday, and i would defo go back to hotel haiti in the future, and for all the staff, entertainers and reps keep up the good work and we miss you all, so glad we keep in touch! Also the bar around the back is Carols bar, if you want to be served by friendly staff go there, they are great and carol is great! Trotters bar just down the road is also nice and does lovely food, had breakfast htere a few mornings when we over slept, defo recommend it.

We came back from here aprox a week ago, and have to say I had a great time. I travelled with 3 children under 4 and my sister and mum.
We had been made aware that there had been some sort of bug in the hotel, but that the food had been tested and was fine, and it seemed that the bug could have been picked up from the sea possibly! The hotel provided hand dienfectant which we used before and after food and we were all fine.
I had read mixed reviews before going and was a little worried but I can firmly say that some people must be very fussy!!!
The food was great, always hot and plenty of choice, the 3 children enjoyed it all and I have a very very fussy mum who really enjoyed everything she had. yes the breakfast was the same daily but what can you expect, they provide everything!! sausage(that were not remotely like cardboard)bacon, eggs(fried, boiled and scrambled), hash browns, beans, mushrooms etc, cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, toast, and cold meats!....Delicious! no complaints about lunch and dinner either, we were very impressed. Cakes at snack times were delicious, and the icecreams were there for you to help yourseves, they were also lovely.
The staff were friendly, including the bar staff, yes they did rush you along a little but lets be fair, they had lots of people to serve!!....Plenty of choice for drinks, our children loved the milkshakes.
I cant really comment on the evening entertainment as I didnt see much of it due to having little ones, but on the evenings that we stayed up for the mini disco the children had great fun, my only complaint would be lack of seating and the fact that people smoke, which im not keen on around little ones!!
The lifts were small and we did have to wait a while sometimes but it was not the end of the world, the maid on our floor never came into our room without knocking and did an amazing job, clean sheets and towels daily. Yes she liked to sing, but we were never awake before 9. The sunbeds were a bit of a problem as most had been reserved early, but we were always able to get some and the reps whilst we were there were very helpful and DID remove towels not being used!.
The local area was lovely, but I would watch out for cigarettte ends on the beach, my nephew aged one found plenty! The shops were lovely and our children thoroughly enjoyed the bouncy castles and trampolines on the front. We didnt use any restaurants as we were more than happy with the food at the hotel!
We found plenty to amuse 3 children aged 4 3 and 1, the play area at the hotel was great , we found a lovely playground a few minutes away, we all went for a ride on the train (which was busy but we got a seat), they also had a place where the children could have a pony ride. The reps played games with the children daily but ours were to young to be involved.
The rooms were a little small, but clean and the bathroom was very nice, but we were only in it to sleep anyway!
we were so pleased with this hotel, we have already booked up for next year along with the rest of our family!

went to Haiti in July for one week. Myself husband and son aged 16. rooms are basic but clean no faults found. Food really nice although make sure you are up for breakfast as no snacks available so have to wait til lunch. Downsides are the limited amount of sunbeds. You have to be downstairs queuing by 7.45 in order to get a sunbed near the pool, too many people for such a small area. The hotel does not cater at all for teenagers. We spent most days paying at the beach for a lounger and paying for drinks in the local bar so at least our son could have a game of pool. We spent so little time at the hotel the reps on the last day asked if we had just arrived and were surprised when we said we were waiting to be picked up to go to the airport

hotel clean could be more choice in food.
beds not ideal kept kicking toes up on bed,my 8yr old hit knee on bed and badly bruised it.Rooms could be up dated. beach beautifull can picafort is a beautifull resort would go back but stay another hotel, as this was our first time abroad and expected our room to be better
. But would definately go with thomson again. was not pleased with entertainment as this reminded us of when we went on caravan site on haven.we also had to get up early to get sun bed as people were putting beach towels on them early so if not up early you could forget sunbeds.

Myself & Husband (early sixties ) have just returned after two weeks from the Hotel Haiti (21st September 2010 ),all I can say to people of our age group looking for a relaxing holiday when kids have gone back to school is do not go here.
The hotel walls are paper thin you hear everything, kids running down hallways at 12.45 at night, even what is going on next door!! and downstairs. We got moved to the 5th floor and even then you could hear what was going on downstairs in the bar.
The staff are really nice they couldn't work any harder, the towels are changed daily, beds twice a week and the place is kept really clean.
The food is more akin to a school canteen, the restaurant is very crowded with tables too close together, the staff never stop running clearing tables.
We never stayed in any evening because the bar/entertainment area is so small and crowded, the pool area is the same and it needs more umberellas on the patio as you can not get out of the sun.
The reps were there most of the time but I had a problem with my in-flight meal and it took the threat on our last evening to send an e-mail to Thompsons that amazingly it got sorted.
The resort of Can Picafort was the saving grace as it is lovely if it wsan't for that we would have been asking to be moved.
It was the first time for us to Majorca so we took the Island trip and Palma trip with "No Frills" they were great, there is a small bar called Trotters on the Beach just to the right out of the hotel where we booked. We found out about it from Trip Adviser before we went and we couldn't have found a better company to take us around the Island, Very punctual and professional, look out for them if you are on the Island.
