Hotel Haiti

We are a family of 6 with children 3, 4 and 15 and my mother. We came here a few years ago for our honeymoon and decided to come back. We had such a fantastic time, the kids loved it, my mother loved it and we just didn't want to leave, so we came back in October.
The entertainment was excellent, the food was excellent and the Thompson kids reps and entertainment reps were excellent. They went out of their way to make sure my kids had a good time and we hardly saw our eldest son. It was so good that when it was time to go home our 4 year old daughter cried. We can’t wait to go back and I would recommend it to anyone. The staff are really friendly and very helpful.
I wouldn't consider another hotel in Can Picafort because this hotel had everything we needed and the staff made the kids holiday extra special.

I have read Mr R Plant's review from August 2005 and wondered if we stayed in the same hotel! I do agree the rooms and the hotel itself were very clean. The rooms are very space with no TV, kettle, fridge or anything other than the bed and a wardrobe! The pool was also clean but very deep in the main part so was very cold for the entire week. Make sure you get down to the pool to get a sun bed by 8am or you will be out of luck (no where near enough beds to cater for the size of the hotel).
There was no entertainment around the pool at all except one day we had water polo for 15 minutes (on the activities board, it was stated there would be polo or volleyball in the pool every day). The food wasn't too bad, but some of it at times was not all that hot. There was a wide enough selection to please most people but it was more or less the same every day - rice, pasta, chips etc. Would have been nice to see some local dishes served. What we were not impressed with was having to pay for our drinks at dinner time which were very overpriced.
We didn't expect free flowing drinks all evening, but perhaps one complimentary drink or even a jug of water on the table would have gone a little way to ease our ever decreasing budget. Drinks in both the dining hall and bar were very expensive, as were snacks, ice creams, crisps and cakes. We found the reps were not all that helpful unless we were booking one of the Thomson excursions which again, when you have a family of five, were quite pricey.
Entertainment in the evenings was awful. There was not enough room to seat everyone who wanted to watch so you have to get there very early, or miss out. This was a last minute getaway for us and we weren't expecting anything too special. Just as well because we didn't get it.

This hotel is totally amazing.. it was the best holiday I have ever had. the hotel is very clean and the maids are always cleaning.. the food is beautiful.. The entertainment is ace through the day and night the entertainers were the best ever (brord and Louise) they are a great Laugh. we never wanted to leave the hotel because things are that good even to go to the water park.
The rooms are very clean beds are made every day and the towels changed every day and rooms and bathrooms cleaned... the poolside entertainment is great around the pool.. you should play water polo its great fun.. and should definitely join in with the fun dances like we did and got asked to go on the stage every night ... I would tell you to go to this hotel because its the best in Mallorca.

Fairly good, clean hotel with very friendly staff. Room cleaned daily to a good standard. Dining room light and airy.
The food tended to be a little plain at times but of good quality and quantity. Drinks in the hotel are expensive so would recommend watering holes down at the beach where some bars offer 2 for 1 drinks in the evening.
The hotel has only 2 lifts each holding 4 people , which can result in a bit of a wait at peak times (meal times). This is definitely a family hotel as there were lots of children around even though it was term time. The swimming pool is large and very clean with a shallow area for young children but it is not heated, much warmer in the med.
The beach and shopping area is a 20-minute walk slightly downhill. Local bus services are very good with a bus stop almost outside the hotel.

Good location near to beach and town centre. Rooms cleaned everday to good standard. Air conditioning in rooms. Buffet style restaurant with an excellent selection of food for adults and children alike. Had to get up early to reserve a sunbed. Entertainment all day and some shows at night. Would recommend this hotel to anybody else.
