We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights whilst doing a coash tour. This is meant to be a 3 star hotel but is not. The hotel was recently modernised etc and when we arrived was still being painted inside, thre were many plumbing problems and electrical problems. The one lift they have is antiquated and not much good for the elderly as you have to close heavy metal shutters on it.
Our room was tiny, no soap in the bathroom, heating behind a dressing table and had to move this to switch down or off.
Food in hotel was Ok but alwasy cold/lukewarm , not enough glasses/jugs etc, not enough waiting staff and people walked out of the dining room several times.
My advice is dont book it.

This was to be a special trip to Scarborough with my lovely wife.
On my 60th birthday we wanted to spend a few nights in a nice hotel in a place like Scarborough that had many happy memories.
After a long 5 hour drive we arrived at the hotel.
We were welcomed by the receptionist who abruptly told us we where 15 minutes early for booking in and ask us to sit in our car until 3.00 pm.
We were finally shown to the smallest room we have ever seen which was right next to the one and only lift in the hotel.
We were told this was the room that online bookings are given.
We got discount seemingly.
Had booked dinner for 6.00 pm but coach party took priority and we didn't sit down until 7.30 pm.
We left before our sweet was served at 9.40 pm.
The next night same experience but we left half our meal so we could get to the theatre we had booked for that night.
The food was very poor and the service was terrible, although some staff made a huge effort and were obviously embarrassed by the whole thing.
We spoke to other people staying at the hotel and they all agreed never again!!!
