I stayed at the Lombardi Park Hotel pietrelcina which is the birthplace of padre pio who has a great following in the catholic faith & we decided to visit the town & stayed at the hotel which is classed as a 4 star with leisure facilities and an outdoor swimming pool. The fitness suite was closed the pool full of dead or dying insects and the food was poor. we required a packed breakfast as we were leaving early. This consisted of a small bottle of orange juice, which required a bottle opener, a supermarket sandwich and an orange.
