Hotel 41

Just got back from 4 nights at Hotel 41! Location - Great Room - Very clean and comfortable although small Staff - very friendly Breakfast - very nice Would defo stay there again. Great Hotel for the price.

I recently stayed on a business trip and found this hotel to be excellent. The rooms are very small but clean and comfortable, the bathroom is nice with Aveda products. There is a DVD library free of charge, all day complimentary coffee and a continental breakfast in the price. For me the free in-room broadband was a real bonus as I have racked up huge bills in US hotels before. Have just come back from NY, stayed at Hotel 41 a small friendly hotel, location is just superb. Staff very friendly, only problem we found the rooms are tiny, with no window, which we didn't like. But out and about most of the day, so it didn't riun are stay.

The Good: Contemporary design, very comfortable beds, free continental breakfast, great bar, awesome location, friendly helpfull staff, elevator. The Bad: Views of Brick Wall, No Shower enclosure, teeny sink, teeny TV that is too high up to see The Ugly: Teeny, Tiny, Miniture Rooms The Lowdown: I liked this hotel. The location was supurb and it really felt like a boutique soho style hotel with a Times Square address. A very pleasant place to stay if you are not closterphobic.

I was a little concerned about the size of the rooms in this hotel having read the reviews but was pleasently suprised when we arrived. We stayed for 5 nights at the end of October and it was ideal. The location is fantastic, just off Times Square and within walking distance of almost all of the attractions. The hotel staff are very helpful and printed out location maps for us a couple of times and recommended bars. This was a little gem in NYC. It's immediately next to the Rent theater. The hotel rooms are tiny, but certainly do the job. They use Aveda products which was a nice treat! There is a parking garage next door, but the hotel is also across from the major subway hub in Times Square. The free breakfast is continental - just bagels and muffins and coffee. The real treat, though, is the make your own cappuccino and espresso (which usually costs you about $4 in the city!). Friendly staff. Good free newspapers and cable. A small hotel, but a good one!

The price that we paid for this room was cheap in comparison to other mid-range hotels in the area. It was in a very excellent location, very close to the subway and also right in Times Square. The whole hotel including the rooms was very tastefully furnished and the front desk was very friendly. Breakfast was nice and turned into a trendy bar in the evening. The rooms were very nice. Hotel 41 is in a location that is ideal for anyone who wants to be close to Broadway theaters, sights and restaurants. It is also an easy five-minute walk to the Port Authority to catch the airport bus to JFK Airport. The room was very clean, the staff was helpful and friendly, and the continental breakfast was fresh and convenient with plenty of complimentary newspapers. We got back from New York yesterday (I didn't want to come home)!!! A fantastic city made even more enjoyable to explore because of the location of this hotel. We arrived late on Saturday (probably about 11.30pm) and as the hotel is just off Times Square we came through all the hustle and bustle, what a fantastic sight and atmosphere. The hotel is in a great location, and the staff are second to none, however, the reason I gave it only an average rating is for the size of the room. I have NEVER seen a smaller room in my life. The website stated that the rooms are 100 sq ft. Mine looked closer to 50! These rooms make cruise ship cabins look like Buckingham Palace.
