J Resort Handhufushi

i had two weeks in mardh 2009 on this .when we finaly arrived our wow turn to disbelievement.first thing was you cannot see threw the water in fact you cant even swim in it.secondly half the resort was closed forcing you to travel nearly a mile for breackfast /lunch and dinner. also alacarte resturants closed.when tide turnning strong smell of sewerage.brochure offers free trips and paid trips but they cancel if not at least ten people on trip.accomodation jacqucci switches on thru night on its own saterlite t.v. not watchable most of time red ants in bed cockroaches in room not much variety of food.only good thing i found on holiday was the pool.beware when leaving the island for your homeward bound journey you star at 3 am then dumped at male airprot for 3 hours until you can enter the airport to check in.p.s. there is work going on in the lagoon which washes a lot of rocks and shingle on to beach where you have workman up and the beach all day long.my advice give this island a miss
