Berjaya Times Square Hotel and Convention Center

We had a really bad stay at the Berjaya Times Square right from the word GO! We had specifically asked for a non smoking room but it wasnt available when we arrived tired after the flight! Then we had to wait for a couple of hours to get the right room! When we got in and decided to get some sleep, we were rudely woken up by loud hammering and drilling in the corridors! The hotel had no business to put up customers on floors where work was going on! We had to literally demand another room! Again after waiting we got a room on another floor... more

The Berjaya was a great place to stay in Malaysia. It was close to everything I wanted be near ... shopping, attractions, restaurants and mass transportation. The hotel room was very comfortable and spacious ... there was a roomy living area and large bathroom. The breakfast is superb ... not to be missed!! There is free WiFi in the lobby, but it isn't the best (a bit patchy). One thing to keep in mind when flying to KL: the airport is ridiculously far away. Plan on it taking at least 40 mins to get to downtown.

A large hotel , 45 floors, with a west and east tower. Between the towers on the roof in the 15 floor it is a garden with a sviming pool. The reception is at 14 floor, and under it there are a shopping center and a theme park. Our children love it. If you plane to visit KL, stay at last 3 or 4 nights. Its a great place to shop i the mall + Cina town. The room in the hotel are big and suitet to a family of four.

Hotel is conveniently located: 1. Monorail stops right outside hotel 2. Attached to Huge Shopping Mall 3. Walking distance from Electronics Shopping District 4. 10 Minute ride to China Town Hotel Suite was very clean and like the use of white sheets and comforter versus those old fashion tacky spread used by western hotels. Best of all was the hotel's breakfast - tremendously global selection - western, chinese, indian european.

The Berjaya is well located, with the monorail at the door and a large shopping mall, cinema, amusement park and restaurants right beneath the hotel. The pool area is excellent with some nice views of the city. The rooms are somewhat shabbier than the Berjaya website suggests. The cable TV kept cutting out all night in my room and my freind's. Where this place really fell down was service. Check in was appalling slow - way too few staff and way too slow for a hotel so large. I advised the counter clerk this was the worst hotel... more

This is a great hotel if you dont need to be in a Western enviorment. It is a very Asian orientated hotel especially breakfast withs smells of fish curry. Overall serice was great rooms to bed desired being large yet not very pracrtilce. Would recommned for the long term stay in KL due to the easy city acess and large rooms

Here on business, my hosts booked this hotel for me. After reading some of the reviews I was a bit concerned about the hotel. Upon arriving and seeing my room, I was thrilled. True, the kitchen area was not stocked, but the room, actually a small suite, is large, nicely furnished, and quite elegant. The king-sized bed gave me the best sleep of my trip to Asia. I was skeptical about staying at this hotel after reading all the negative reviews. However, I decided to give it a try because of the unbeatable price for a 1 bedroom suite and for the location. I also liked the photos of the huge swimming pool. I travel to Kuala Lumpur once or twice a year. I have stayed at the Ritz Carlton, many times at the Parkroyal, the Mandarin Oriental, the Marriott and the Westin, all were much more expensive and the rooms are much smaller! I have stayed at Berjaya Times Square Hotel multiple times for long and short stays throughout 2006. The hotel offers spacious suites and a huge swimming pool. Most of the rest is not on par with what you get at similarly priced hotels in KL. For example, the selection of TV channels included only a limited number of English language channels and neither CNN, BBC, Bloomberg, CNBC or other leading news channels. Terrible Terrible Terrible! Went there for my business trip and it was a nightmare! Firstly my colleague and I (both males) were given a queen bed without a bat of an eyelid. Next they failed to tell us that there were 2 towers and that the room numbers for both towers were identical so we ended up trying to open another guest's room's door.
