Najd Hotel Apartments

We booked the Najd Aparthotel Dubai through Booking.com and arrived in the middle of 2 am in the morning. We were so shattered from travelling that we paid the full amount in advance which was a big mistake. We were bothered with building work throughout the night and could not sleep. It was not until the following morning that we found out we were in the middle of a building site and I could count in excess of 50 cranes within a 400 metre radius.
Building work continued on a 24 hour basis. We immediately contacted booking.com who were of no assistance whatsoever and sloped their shoulders - AVOID USING THEM AT ALL COSTS ! After talking to the hotel receptionist she agreed to refund our money. However, on checking-out the next day the management had renaged on their agreement even though my wife was suffering severe breathing difficulties because of dust in the air. Be warned that the hotel is to be avoided and you will get no back-up from booking.com who will avoid any liability.
