We attended this weekend for a friend's wedding and found the hidden gem of Yorkshire! The sun was shining and the lakeside location was unbeatable - many great photos on the grass. The wedding reception took place in their marquee - the outside has quite clearly seen better days but it was beautiful inside, improved by the bar ;)
What let the evening down for our group was the minor details in the service. Whilst the (young) bar staff were friendly enough, they seemed a little lost. I also had to complain about toilet roll in the ladies twice, only to find on both occasions that the lady running the place (i was told she was the wedding manager, she said in fact the general manager?) wasn't around!
Despite these let downs, a great party was had by all of us - great food, drinks and buzz!
- Advice: great place, will be back for summer afternoons!

Attended a friends Wedding recentley and was disapointed with the Hotel and the service provided by the Wedding co-ordinator. My Husband and I had visited before, alone and with our two boys. Both occations (2010) We couldn't fault the food and the service. Unfortunately, on this occation we were not so impressed. Even though the Casa has made some significant improvements to the grounds, carpark and balcony restaurant it is still clear that it is a work in progress. The marquee where the wedding was held was looking a bit tired inside and both the carpet and dancefloor where dirty! Some of the fine details my friend had requested had been ignored by the Wedding co-ordinator and due to this the bride had lost all trust and faith in the woman who was missing for most of the night and we ended up organising some things on the day ourselves. It was such a shame, as we had been so looking forward to it. On the plus side the food was very good and there was plenty of it and the DJ was excellent.

Just stayed a night at this hotel before a wedding. No proper check in. Staff went to show me to a room lake side only to discover someone was already in there so shoved in a shoebox of a room over looking a noisy main road. I always examine hotel sheets to check they have all been changed, and yep, a suspicious thick brown hair sat on the pillow together with dust and some sort of debris. Yuck!
The kettle has to be be placed on the floor by the bed to be boiled(well actually the room was so 'tight' everything is next to the bed). Wanted an early night after a long journey and an early start, forget it. My room was the other side of a door to the bar and in particular the men's toilet. The usual noisy drunken bar sounds kept me awake until after midnight, together with cars coming and going just outside my window.
The following day's wedding was a farce. Promised building work apparently not completed. The back of the hotel had timbers exposed and the carpark by all the downstair lakeside rooms had building materials on display. Went to walk on lawn and told we were not allowed as just been laid. The bride told me one member of staff had informed her they had 'busted a gut to get the lawn ready in time for her!', but we couldn't use it anyway. Steps down to lawn look as if they are subsiding with large gaps and no safety rails. The wedding coordinator was totally useless and uninterested in the wedding she was mean't to be coordinating. They messed up place settings, lots of details the Bride had requested. I have never seen such a stressed out bride and all because she was still trying to get the marquee sorted while she was getting her make up done. It was left to the bridesmaids to finish dressing the tables. Later the pink champagne ordered by the bride was ignored and white served. The reception was in a large permanent marquee. It was cold, drafty and the marquee itself filthy.
Just a really dreaful hotel, I pity any brides who have their wedding booked here. I was glad to drive away.

my partner and i stayed at this hotel a couple of months ago and had a great time, as we had our daughter with us on this trip we deciced to stay again. And we were not disapointed. We had a lovely family room with it's own patio. Our 7 year old daughter had a whale of a time feeding the ducks on the lake and playing on the trampoline. infact we had trouble getting her into the car to go home. We had a great lunch on the terrace before we left and will be staying again on our next visit in a couple of months time.

My Partner and I stayed at the Casa Hotel for a weekend and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We had a beautiful room which had an antique four poster bed and a balcony which overlooked the beautiful Cromwell Lake and Yorkshire countryside. The Hotel is small (10 Rooms) but very friendly and charming. something you don't tend to get with large hotels and chains. It has a number of terraces which lead down to the lake - it must be a great setting for a Wedding - and a large balcony restaurant as well as an a la carte restaurant which serves delicious mediterranean cuisine at reasonable prices. We had a wonderful relaxing weekend in Yorkshire and would recommend that anyone pay a visit to the Casa. We will definitely be back.

We visited for a meal for my son's 21st birthday and we were very impressed! The food and service from our waiter were second to none, and the free balloons etc were a nice touch!
