This was our third esprit holiday and all I can say is.... Bring me more time with esprit
This was our second visit to belle plagne and we are already looking for a return date.
Rachel the manager is hands on and always ready to listen, Jenny the childcare manager is always willing to listen and problem solve.
We didn't have many problems most were ESF based but the staff did not stop trying to help( they could have just blamed ESF and had an easy time.
Our friends and my parents who came with us simply felt that' nothing was too much trouble'
The rooms were excellent , the food perfection - though breakfast could have been more French... We wanted chocolat chaud and pain au chocolat.

I booked with Esprit for their childcare. They are expensive so I decided to go to their flagship hotel in Belle Plagne. The hotel is modern and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. That is the only positive.
Their staff are inexperienced, party everynight and look like death every day. The week we went, their were 82 kids of which 12 were in the 3-4 group. My daughter is just 3 and still needs a little love and tenderness when going to a nursery. She only needs 5 minutes before she settles in nicely for the day. It was impossible to find anyone who could be bothered. The ski lessons are in the afternoon by which time most of the kids are too tired to learn to ski. It takes place in a French ski school area and they are mixed in with kids from outside Esprit so there are 15+ kids waiting to go up a small lift and back down a hill. The system only works for the more confident and pushy kids who jump the queue!
My daughter was so unhappy that she started waking in the middle of the night because she didn't want to go back.
Other negatives are the lack of space in the bar area. When they have the welcome evening or presentation evening, half the guests have to stand or sit on the floor.
Aperitives are served as late as possible to force you to buy a drink at the bar. (this is part of the 5 course dinner!!).
There is no outside terrace which is disappointing for March/April skiiers who enjoy a bit of sunshine.
Even on the coach trip back to Geneva airport, the rep fell asleep and we didn't know if we were going to get a break. Do they know that a 3 year old might need a wee on a 3 hour journey?? These are supposed to be family specialists!
ESPRIT is probably OK for kids who are 6 years +, by which time you don't really need the extra childcare. I am so disappointed and only hope that Mark Warner or Club Med can offer a better service.
Nice rooms on a skiing holiday are not very usefull if you children aren't happy. After all you hardly spend anytime in them.

We've just returned from Des Deux Domaines. It was superb !
Excellent staff - young, enthusiastic team that couldn't do enough for us.
We have 2 young daughters (9 mnths and 2yrs 9mnths) - both thoroughly enjoyed the creche facilities. Emily, Linda, Tammy & Lucy were superb - thanks so much !
Rachel (Hotel Manager) - what a great leader for the hotel. She was everywhere, leading by example - very impressed.
Skiing was amazing with superb conditions and with the ski in / ski out it was so easy.
Our eldest daughter will be skiing next year (2013) and we cannot think of anywhere better for her to begin ...... Thank you Esprit ! Totally recommended !
