" Saree Samui "

We booked a 2 week holiday at Saree Samui on full board. We stayed there for the last 2 weeks of January 2009. We have never been to Thailand before so this a was a new experience.
From the moment we were greeted in the reception and shown to our rooms were looked after royally. We booked a pool villa with sea views, the extra money was well worth it, the quality of the rooms was exceptional, everything was of the highest quality and a lot of thought had gone into designing the rooms and all the small extras to make the room special. To be able to go to the villa and take a swim in our own pool was great or to use the out door bath at night and look up at the stars was very romantic.
Our villa looked directly out to the sea and across to Koh Phangan, the view was picture postcard perfect. The build quality of the rooms and the layout of the grounds was too an extremely high standard and a lot of thought had gone into thinking about the environment, too many hotels today are concrete jungles. The main pool is very clean and well maintained, and the pool bar staff are very attentive without being over bearing.
My wife has several dietary requirements and we were looked after by the staff and the chefs to the extent that we never ate out side the hotel. Chow, Ooh, John & Mr Nong deserve special mention for their extra service and help. On the last night they took us down to the beach in front of the restaurant and we lit lanterns. The menu was a mixture of Thai and western dishes, the freshness and quality could not be faulted, I doubt that you could have found better out side anyway. If you wanted the dishes a little more mild or even hotter they would oblige.
It was a sad day when we packed our bags and said good bye, we will be going back and we shall also try the other hotels they own.

Good for: Beach
