Lovely, small hotel. Very friendly service from reception and all staff. Room was nice and very comfortable. Only real niggle is that the film service did not work, on top of the fact that the only English-speaking channel on tv is CNN. BBC Prime was not subscribed to, as shown on the screen, but that would have been useful when we were in the room.
The euro is 1:1 with the pound at the moment (Feb 2009) and this makes everything seem VERY expensive in Paris. In pubs, a 500ml beer (less than half a pint) is around 5 euros and a white coffee around 4 euros. The prices are even worse when going out to eat, so watch out for offers at restaurants.
