when we arrived the kids said this cant be the place we are staying but sadly it was , i dont know was worse the mosquitos or the staff both were pests . we went there thinking there would be reps and entertainment but there were neither , the only entertainment was a guy called pete and in between pulling pints and trying unsuccessfully to perform karaoke he was trying to look good but with dirty clothes and unwashed most of us went elsewhere for evening drinks and as for his partner debbie i think this is a place that should be called mosquito hotel or fawlty towers , only uipside on the holiday was meeting the neptune divers who had great time for the kids and only charged €5 for a lot of time in the pool ( cheers scuba steve ) this was the highlight of the holiday , rooms were ok but a bit shabby , overall i recommend you avoid this place like you would avoid a mosquito nest. a crap holiday iwe will never return there again.

Just returned from a dreadful week weather wise in Alcudia, I mean 4 hours of sunshine all week! and that was in 10min slots during the day! What can I say about this place apart from a great place to relax, stroll into the town and to the beach, the water park is 400 yards away even though we never got to go coz of the weather!
The big Fiesta breakfast in a morning is a "MONSTER" it'll keep you going all day and for just over 3euros it's great value!! Rafa and Festa are very friendly and very helpful the rooms are very spacious and we had 2 bathrooms!!
The pool is very clean and cleaned each night, the only problem with Alcudia is the mozzies they just bite you constantly and seemed to love me! Those who love T bone steaks we highly recommend El Toro outstanding value for money! Lots going on in Alcudia but October is a risk weather wise.

What can I say? I've been to this part of Alcudia on two previous occasions, and had fantastic holidays on every visit. The biggest difference was this time we didn't stay at the Mariners Club. This holiday we opted for the neighbouring apartments across the road, Solecito Apartments.
On arrival at the apartments the floor was dirty (fag ends and broken glass) - that is the only real complaint we have about the accommodation. The bar and pool area were ok but the entertainment was rubbish, so unprofessional and amateurish, and was only on two nights a week (both the same shows were repeated on the second week). Every other day and night nothing else was on except for english football, english rugby, english cricket and darts from 10am until 12.30am. Sorry but I find that very boring holiday entertainment.
The three local pubs were not much better, except they had a bit of bingo thrown in. The only place that had good professional shows 4 nights a week was the Mariner Club. The staff were so friendly and helpful.
So sorry Solecito, you have scared us away from Alcudia, a place which we all really liked, until we experienced what you had to offer. Stay clear if you want a fun entertaining holiday.

The holiday was amazing we would have put a ten because it was so friendly, but unfortunately there’s always something that goes wrong in this case it was the rep. Solecito apartments - if I gave it a star rating I would say 5 star, Michelle, Steve and Raffa are the best. In my eyes most family based, friendly and some were to go for all time entertainment Solecito is there. People will never know how much fun I had with my family until they go themselves.

Apartments, staff, and area fantastic.
Badly let down by Thomson. We had no rep the whole two weeks we were there. We therefore could not hire a car because of insurance purposes and had no idea of the surrounding area, thank goodness for Solecito staff who basically told us where to catch buses from, where the beach and supermarkets were, and how to get to the old town and on excursions.
Will never book with Thomson again, have a feeling they will lose a couple of resorts too.

Well what can I say the holiday was great we loved it. The three girls loved the whole holiday. The whole place was great, could not complain at all. We only had self catering, however there was many times Raf, Stev, Dot and Michelle brought our breakfast lunch or tea to our apartments with great pleasure. It was great to hear the tip bell ring. Michelle was great with our and all the kids, fantastic.
Food was great and good value for the money. Breakfast was good as well. They really made us very welcome and when we left all the staff waved us off. The rep was great too, it was just a pity he had to go to hospital for two weeks very poorly, hope is all well.
So that is where the rep was and Thomson did get a replacement in, he was at the sister apartments. Well I've gone on to much, must go. Overall its a must place to come. We will see you all very soon. Craig, Lisa, Leah, Chloe and Emily. xx
We went 10th June 2007 the weather was hot but not to hot.

Just returned from our second holiday at the Solecito Apartments, and it was just as good as the first if not better. We were a family of 2 adults and 3 kids.
The apartments now have Michelle who does a lot with the kids. Rafa and Steve and Dot make you feel so welcome and nothing is too much trouble for them.
This is a great base if you like self catering as we do, trying different places to eat out. The pool is fab and never over crowded, a real family place to stay.
The apartment we had was 2 bedrooms and a pull out bed in the living room, 2 bathrooms and 2 balconies. The maid service is great every other day.
Loads to do all within walking distance, there is horse riding 5 min away, a water park 5 min away and 2 go-karting tracks 10/15min. I would suggest you visit the PIRATE show booked through your rep. This is fab and the pirates are so fit. We have been on both visits and will go again FAB...AND THANKS for a GREAT HOLIDAY, RAFA, MICHELLE,DOT and Steve.
Ps visit Steve's Bar and just around the corner Uncle Festas but beware the shots are so nice, you forget how many you have drank literally !! Lots of Love Tracy, Keith, Rebecca , Sophie and Daniel Cain x x x

Apartment - spacious, tidy, comfortable and cleaned regularly.
Swimming Pool - Very clean (done every day) big enough for amount of apartments. Nice size child area, plenty of sun loungers.
Food - Keith and sue were very hospitable. English food but plenty of Spanish restaurants nearby. Very good food and at a reasonable price, Al provides great service.
Drink - watch out for Rafa and uncle Festa they will get you drunk if you are not careful we weren’t careful! Very nice people though.
Entertainment - Mostly very good entertainment. You can also use the close Mariners apartments for their pool and entertainment too! Kids zone for 4-12 year olds. The kids reps are very good and keep your kids entertained if you wish to use this free service.
Local area - supermarket 3 minute walk away. Beach a bit further away about 20 minute walk if you have small children but owners lent us a pushchair which was great. Hydro park nearby and go-carts not that far away either. Arcades on your doorstep and you must visit Uncle Festa's bar around the corner.
Definitely recommend here! We will be going back hopefully sometime soon!

Home sweet home, well kind of!! We have just got back from Alcudia, and we didn’t want to come home. We spent two fabulous weeks at the Solecito Apartments, in the generous and friendly company of Rafa and his team of bar staff.
The apartments were clean and bigger than any we've ever stayed in, it had a fair sized pool for the amount of apartments there, and the food at the Solecito was cheap and cheerful, (put it this way we have all put on a few pounds).
OK so the beach was a small trek away, but hey who wants sand in between their toes and in their hair etc when you have all the sun and cool water you need on your doorstep.
The temperatures were higher than average and a little sticky at night, but the air conditioning soon got you back too normal, plus if you got caught by Rafa at the bar, you would be too drunk to notice anyway (he made our holiday a success).
The entertainment was o.k., it seemed I got picked from the crowd every time, I got two snogs from Elvis!!! Then sawn in half by the magician, got a cheeky kiss from the acrobatic guy, and then to top if all off had the biggest snake you have ever seen put around my neck.
My family and I would recommend the Solecito Apartments to anyone who is interested in a totally relaxed holiday. There was something for everyone, we will definitely be going back!!!! A big thank you to Rafa again and bye for now.

Were do I start. Just got back today and had a great time! Four of us went 2 couples, we arrived at Palma airport 1 case down which put a downer on the start.
When we arrived at apartments we were welcomed by Keith who helped take cases to our room he also helped chase our case by phoning the airport for us and we had it by the next day.
The apartments were clean and spacious and our balcony caught a lot of sun we were facing Uncle Festas bar. The pool was nice and clean and managed to get a sun bed most days. The food was nice and good value, as was the service.
What can i say about the bar staff they were great. Rafa and Steve (festa) were a good laugh and would make sure you went home with a skin full and a smile on your face! Entertainment was ok al gives 100% to please. The beach was lovely and recommend a walk round the marina with some lovely boats. Close to the bars and shops and water park 5 mins away also go karts worth a go. All in all loved it and if going on holiday next year will be staying in these apartments with out a doubt.
Ps. Watch out 4 mozzies lots at night.

Apartments - Good size clean and serviced regularly by pleasant cleaners, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms 2 balconies and largish kitchen/lounge in one - no problems
Pool - Very clean OK size for amount of apartments but preferred the Mariners pool which you can use free of charge (and all their other facilities) and its only a few steps through the back gate
Entertainment - Basic much preferred the Mariners there’s a Kids clubs free of charge and an act every night Abba etc good family holiday fun
Facilities - small bar serving good cheap bar food and good breakfasts cheap and good quality although we preferred the Britannia pub two doors away as they served fab brekkies and had cbeebies on big TVs for the kids while you had your breakfast also they had a fab selection of evening meals Abduls curries were superb
Location - not great although it says in the brochure its a walk to the beach, it is a flat walk but with 2 children in toe in 90 degree heat with beach stuff its a long walk along a main road its a pain, we got taxis 4 euros each way and reception will order them for you, drivers are very friendly and never ripped us off
Staff - friendly and happy to help
One big problem where this is situated is across the road from a massive all inclusive hotel that has music booming 9am - midnight and above an arcade and fun pubs so there is a lot of noise having said that the noise stops at midnight. Then the cabaret starts! the bar at the Solecito serves until the last man standing is in a coma usually about 3 am this wouldn’t be a problem on a large complex where the bar is out of the way but this is a small complex centered around the bar which is outdoor the screaming laughing and obscenities until 3-4 am is a pain. I blame this totally on the management who want to make as much money as possible at the expense of families who want to get to sleep midnight onwards.
Believe me I’m not a party pooper but on a family holiday with a 2 year old I don’t need it, at 3am the noise carries and everyone was fuming. Sort it out Keith families don’t want to hear everyone’s life history being screamed around the bar into their bedrooms in the early hours or agadoo at 4 am its advertised as a family complex so sort it before people start booking the Mariners which is shut down at midnight or re advertise it as an 18 – 50.
Water park across the road fab, can Picafort a great trip and loads of gorgeous restaurants around the Mariner in Alcudia with guitar playing etc great shops and great booze and ciggie prices would I go back? Not a chance - I like to sleep on my holidays.

Booked holiday abroad for the first time in 3 years, There were two adults and three children. Looking forward to getting there as we all needed a rest. Apartments on arrival looked to be in the middle of nowhere but after doing a recky we were in the middle of everything which was brill. Raffa, Keith, Toffo and uncle Fester were so friendly the apartments were so clean and tidy.
We have recommended our friends to go which they have booked up for Oct this year. Wish we were going with them. We also found a bar called Cheers which is great for kids and families and of course the crazy crape man next to the bridge they are a must for supper.
The beach is fab you can go out for miles and still be up to your waist.

Well we have been home 4 days and missing Alcudia already!!! A fantastic holiday was had by all 5 of us, (2 adults, 3 kids) The apartments were lovely, spacious and clean. How lucky were we having 2 bathrooms, 1 en-suite... All the Solecito staff were so friendly, BIG thanks to Sue, Keith, Tofu, Steve and not forgetting the lovely 'Rafa' (watch out for Rafa if you want a serious hangover ha ha)
nothing was a problem for anyone there....
The food was great and reasonable, but must say we did prefer 'The Brittania' next door,
Entertainment was average at the 'sister hotel' The Mariners, but not a lot to do at the Solecito unfortunately.
Kids club.....well what can i say... yawn boring!!! our kids hated it, reps were not good at all, seemed like they couldn’t be bothered. luckily we made some good friends and entertained ourselves and the kids.
WATCH OUT FOR THE MOSQUITO'S THEY BITE LOADS HA HA.
The walk into the town wasn’t too bad, 20 mins to beach,30 mins to port, taxi quite reasonable 3.50-4.50 euros, but watch out for horse and cart, they charge 15 euros for same journey.
The scenery on the way to town or beach is fantastic so you forget about the walking, lovely canals, mountains and houses to look at. There is plenty to do in Alcudia, for kids and adults and I do recommend a visit to Magalluf to see the 'The Pirate' show, well worth the money, and to see celebs there too, we saw Nigel Benn there!!
All in all our holiday was fantastic and we certainly would return to Alcudia, especially go back to Solecito apartments.
Happy Holidays All..........

My wife and I booked this on a late deal and it was allocated on arrival we were a bit apprehensive as we did not know where we were going and expected to have a horror story to tell.
Well you can imagine our surprise when we were greeted by SUE and KIETH a very pleasant English couple who we can not praise enough they shown us to our very spacious apartment, which was exceptionally clean.
WE were on the far side facing UNCLE FESTERS BAR and THE QUEENS PUB it was extremely friendly the food was great as to was RAFFA the crazy barman we just can not thank everyone enough.
The beaches were superb clean and plenty of sunbeds to lounge around on if you got there early enough.
the holiday was totally fantastic we will go back.

Three adults and two children went to these apartments, and the only comment I can make is "excellent”. The rooms were clean, spacious and well kept. Keith and Sue who run the complex could not do enough for you, they were very helpful, as I must say, were the rest of the staff. I will most certainly go back there again.
A lot of people go on about the Britannia pub, well I have to agree with them , very good value for your money, but to be fair, the meals at the Solecito were good value as well.
Just down the road is the Hidro Park ( Water theme park ) not massive, but enough to spend a day there. If I was to moan about anything, which I wont because I knew before I went, was the walk to the beach, a straightforward walk of about 20 mins, which takes you past a go cart track. All in all a good place that I was impressed with.
