" Lovely Holiday "

We have just got back form a lovely holiday booked in The Ship Inn Hotel in Kyrenia, North Cyprus. Me and my boyfriend were looking for somewhere to go and relax a bit as we both have very stressing jobs. We also wanted to see a bit of sunshine as we do not have much in The UK. But we didn’t want to go somewhere expensive because of all the xmas expenses was yet to come. Then we saw an advert on a paper (Direct Traveller) which we thought was brilliant. We couldn’t believe 4 star hotels can get that cheap (£289) and comes up with free half board! What a result! When we arrived to the hotel our room was ready (even we went a lot earlier than the check in time). We stayed at the main building but there are bungalows as well. Our mountain view was breath taking! We enjoyed having our breakfasts at our balcony as weather was nice and warm. It did rain a bit but didn’t bother us because it wasn’t for long. Unfortunately we didn’t have a lovely tan but we enjoyed sitting by the pool, drinking our cocktails. Food was very good (I am a Mexican food lover anyway). Being on half board was good cos it gave us chance to explore the rest of Kyrenia and we realized Kyrenia is not too cheap! But still spending lira is better than spending Euro! You get a lot more for your money.
We hired a car (was not that good but has done it’s job) to see around but I think it’s a walkable distance from hotel to the city centre. Especially around the harbor there are nice restaurants, cafes.
Our room was always clean and tidy; hotel staff was always polite and friendly. We had a problem with the air con on the second day and as soon as we called the reception technical service was at the door to fix it. After our supper everything was done and they even left a note saying sorry for the inconvenience which was really nice of them I think.
We recommend The Ship Inn hotel to the couples who want to escape from the stress and the weather in UK. We also recommend Direct Traveller who really understood what we want from our holiday, their knowledge was brilliant and they even told us what do to, where to go etc ( it was our first time in North Cyprus). We definitely will travel with Direct Traveller again and go back to North Cyprus in the summer to top up our tan :)

Advice: Very nice place , very nice people and great food!!

Activities: Bellapais Monastery, St hillarion castle, Harbour, Niazi`s, Nilgun`s Restaurant

Good for: Beach  City Breaks
