Excellent hotel with comfortable rooms, good position for the ski slopes. The staff were very attentive and gave us a warm welcome. The food was very good and nothing was too much trouble. We would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a comfortable friendly place to stay. We stayed at the Rubino for a week along with four friends two of whom were none skiers, the weather was very kind to us and we were able to sit in the pleasant garden and enjoy the wonderful scenery.

Enjoyed this hotel - room was good, food was OK, bar staff friendly. As others say, however, it's not worth paying 4 star prices for.
Campitello itself and the Dolomites are beautiful. Campitello is very quiet though. The walk along the river to Canazei is great and the cafes and shops in Canazei are worth a visit.
The Sella Ronda is a must and if you get chance to go to the Hidden Valley and Lagazuoi, it's fabulous

What a Hotel! Fabulous location and views.
Accommodation was great and the staff were limited with English but a few phrases from a guide book will help you.
Dining is fine with a good selection of menus. Good for kids as they can select what they want to eat. We have also stayed at the 'sister' hotel of this, and again, a phrase book is useful. We did get fed up with English people saying about the language barrier, part of the fun is getting the Italian phrases right for communication.
The pool is a benefit after a hard day on the slopes, not a massive one but still useful nonetheless. A sauna too can sort the aches and pains out.
We're going back there again, been four times now and to be honest the resort and shops overall, the snow record, hotel location and massive ski area are what make up a good and very memorable holiday.

On arrival the reception, the reception staff did not speak English and were not very helpful. The concierge was helpful unfortunately he was often the best waiter there. Most of the other waiting staff were incredibly slow bar one person who was extremely helpful despite not having any English at all.
The pictures for the hotel in the brochure were extremely misleading. I've seen bigger puddles than the excuse for a pool in the so called "wellness centre" and the Jacuzzi really was a joke.
Food was ok apart from not knowing what you were getting never mind trying to get it cooked a particular way. I asked for a steak medium rare and got it blue- disgusting! this was probably due to another language difficulty. Once a week they have a gala dinner which is nothing more than a glorified set menu. A lot of meals contained far too much salt and some were inedible because of it.
Bar service was so-so and that mini-bar was very lacking and very, very expensive. The val de fassa region is beautiful and worth going there. Just pick a cheaper hotel and don’t get fooled by the more expensive hotel.

" This place does not deserve 4 stars!... "
Submitted By: L.B. Beck
This place does not deserve 4 stars! The staff (even on the reception desk!) does not speak any English or German. Actually, the people working on the reception desk are not even friendly. It's easier to get accurate information at the bar by the barmen or waiters but the reception staff.
The ski room isn't heated and it's too small. The wellness area doesn't have any showers and towels, and there is no separate quiet room to relax.
The food is good. Especially the wine list is rich; and you can trust the waiter to choose the right wine for your meal (try the 2003 Chianti!). The only funny thing about dinner is that you have to be there at 19:00 or you'll miss the half of it, especially the salad bar is almost gone by 19:20 and it's not being refilled.
Also, there is a strange system of ordering your meal for the next day-you'll get a small paper where your possible choices for the next day are written. The problem is that it's written in Italian, and very bad English and really terrible German! So, it's actually always a surprise the next day when you get the meal you ordered the day before!
To rooms are OK, especially the bathrooms (but the plastic glasses surprised me a lot). The mini-bar is really "mini". The TV is quite small and in my room the remote didn't work. Well, if nothing else, the rooms are clean and the girls cleaning them are really nice and friendly.
Also, watch out! Italy has a wicked power system, so you'll probably need a special power adapter. You can buy it in all the stores.
The position of the hotel is good, it's close to the Col Rodella station.
Campitello itself is very small, so if you want to do some shopping or have a nice walk, drive to Canazei. It's only a 5-minute-drive and the place is really nice.
A propos driving-the road over Brunico, Corvara, Arabba etc is bad and takes its time. I recommend taking the highway from Venice.
Well, to add it all up-my family and I wont come back to Campitello, and if we do, then for sure NOT to Rubino Executive. It's not worth that money :(

Four star hotel with zero star staff and Sicilian management.
Nothing will be told to you before hand, so check beforehand and watch your bill carefully !
BEWARE:
- Cheap wines never seem to be available, so you will be offered the more expensive ones - insist on the cheaper ones !!!
- You will receive personal cards (price reduction in other hotels), but you will be charged for it any way even if you don't use them
- Waiters, chewing gum, are yelling to each other in the restaurant in such a way that we can not have a proper conversation at our your table - true four star behaviour !
- Jacuzi broken down for 4 weeks already ???? Come on ! - nevertheless they want to sell you a week-card - what a cheats !
- Like a lunch for 5: just pasta and softdrinks and a EUR 80,00 bill ?
- Like heavily smoked bedroom, when you have ordered no smoke ?
- Like some stuff and dirt of the room-customer before you ? No problem, it will not even be cleaned after three days...
- Unfortunately the heating in the ski cellar is not working (for who knows how long) so enjoy cold and wet shoes in the morning
- The number one worst breakfast espresso coffee machine in Italy, probably the world, this can not be true, a disgrace !!!!
- Extra fee for drinks not ordered at the counter/bar ??? We are only sitting a few meters away from it. Nobody has told us about the extra EUR 0,70 per drink beforehand
- Russians ok - unfortunately 75% of the hotel...nobody warned us
In short: These guys want to earn too much money in a short time.
Russian customers will probably fill up this place up to 100% (as long as they do not understand what is going on)
Be wise, avoid this place.
Please do not avoid this skiing area, one of Europe's best !!!!!
