Esbelli Evi

There aren't enough superlatives to describe our stay at Esbelli Evi. Amazing accommodations, great food, tremendously helpful staff, lots of little extras. This is just the beginning. This was our "splurge" when were in Turkey (along with the hot air balloon ride), as we'd read about Esbelli Evi in several guidebooks and in posts on various travel forums. We were not disappointed! Esbelli Evi is one of the best hotel experienc es we have ever had. The proprietor is gracious, cultured and helpful. The rooms are charming and comfortable. The breakfasts are excellent. We stayed at the Ezbelli Evi cave hotel in Urgup, Cappadoccia, Turkey for several nights. They welcomed us so warmly and provided all sorts of services for free. Tour of hotel (cave hotel) included info on using kitchen and free sodas and water there, free use of Internet, and laundry service which was free for a few items or only 5 Euros for a full load. At night, we had no transport to town for dinner, so the host took us personally in his car and offered to come back for us when done. We opted for a taxi back. Inexpensive. Next... more

This was our first stop in Turkey on our honeymoon, after 3 nights on Santorini. The multiple flights were worth it - we weren't ready for the rush of Istanbul! We stayed in a double room, a traditional cave-style room with 1 bedroom (KS bed, desk & chair, good sized wardrobe, safe, books on bookshelf) and ensuite bathroom (tiled/modern with good basin space, good shower & modern toilet). We just returned from three wonderful weeks visitng Turkey. One of the hotel highlights was a stay at Suha's Esbelli Evi in Urgup (Cappadocia). The Esbelli is a lovely cave hotel that is built into the mountain. Our room was large and included a divan with throw pillows (raised seating platform). The bathroom as well as the room itself were spotless. The bed was very comfortable and there were extra wool blankets for chilly nights. Breakfast was outside on the lovely patio that overlooks the town of Urgup. We also enjoyed wine on the terrace... more

I can't agree more with the positive reviews here. One of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. The hotel is tastefully done, the rooms are clean, large and comfortable, the bathroom large and modern, the outlook beautiful. But the best thing about it was Suha and the staff...I felt like I was staying with friends. I prolonged my stay I liked it so much. I can't imagine a better choice in the Cappadocia area.

we arrived late at night from kayseri airport and our welcome was relaxed and friendly. we met the owner the following day after a scrumptious breakfast. from what we saw of the cappadocia region, we were happy we stayed in urgup and thrilled to have chosen the esbelli evi. it isnt too fancy, but everything you need is provided. the rooms are cozy, and the terraces overlooking the stunning landscape were awesome. we spent a couple of afternoons just lazing in the sun, reading and enjoying the view. there is really no reason to stay anywhere... more

Wonderful hotel and room.....incredible comfortable bed, incredible view from the patio and yummy breakfasts, and great services - basicly a well run hotel.

We booked two rooms directly through the internet. Our E-Mails were replied to promptly. Transport showed up at Kayseri Airport as arranged. We arrived late at night and tired...there were no formalities of checking in...just a brief orientation to the facility and an offer to help ourselves to the contents of the refrigerator in the kitchen....what an introduction to the two nights we spent here...on hindsight we should have stayed a longer as this turned out to be the best hotel out of the four we stayed in during our visit to Turkey late... more
