Eric and Ozlem have created a excellent small hotel the rooms are large and extra large rooms are available. We found the whole place to be clean and tidy and the beds very comfortable The food was excellent with a different meal each night with three to four courses with a selection of local beers and wines.Erics local knowledge of the Gallipoli battlefields is of great help to those that have come to see and explore them.This is the place to stay if visiting to see the the battlefields but if you want a holiday to relax and unwind this is... more

The hotel is in a small Turkish village, a 5-10 minute drive from the Gallipoli Park and all the major sights. The village as most reviews indicate is a small farming village completely unspoilt by tourism. The hotel in its construction fits well with its environment. The owners are lovely, Eric was tremendously helpful in planning our trip around Gallipoli and further on through Turkey. Eric & Özlem have achieved a modern lodging that blends in with this small, unspoilt (by tourism) farming village. They are knowledgeable and engaging hosts, that strive to help their guests with travel information and suggestions for touring the local area. We really loved this place. The room was fabulous and the surroundings (a village of 23 people) was incredibly charming. Eric was a fantastic host and gave us a lot of good advice on how to spend our limited time in the area. The food was also delicious -- some of the best fish we had in Turkey. It is an incredible value for what you get.

My husband and I wanted to stay one night in Canakkale to continue the next day our trip to Istanbul. We booked this hotel after reading tripadvisor´s reviews and it was a really great surprise. It´s a perfect place to relax and visit Gallipoli peninsula. The hotel is spotless and very cozy. The food was wonderful. It feel just like home.

What a beautiful place to stay with charming hosts Eric Goossens and his wife Ozlem. Lovely, spacious, beautifully designed, modern cottages each with a patio overlooking open countryside and a traditional farming village. Wonderful home cooked food with locally sourced produce, and all excellent value for money. One of the most enjoyable hotels I have ever stayed in. The rooms in Gallipoli Houses were very elegant; large with good bathrooms and a private terrace overlooking the small town of Kocadere. The town is conveniently located for those with a car to explore the battlefields of the Gallipoli peninsula. You are required to include dinner with bed and breakfast, but this is no disadvantage as the dinners are delicious and there are no nearby restaurants. Eric and his wife have created a group of villas right in the centre of the village ( consistent with the village architecture)that is actually in Gallipolli National Park. It has everything that you could require in spacious villas with king size beds and large balconies overlooking the park. We could not understand why people would stay in Ecebat (which is 15 minutes away form the park) if they wanted to experience the ambience of the area. A group of Aussies who were interested in the history of the Anzacs at Gallipoli stayed here for six days. We had been on a whirl wind tour of Flanders/France and arrived to a warm welcome after a long bus trip from Istanbul. Within an hour, we were made to feel as if it were our home.
