Wonderfully relaxing holiday
from Debbie4321
The pictures of the Dionysos really can't do it justice. It's a beautiful setting, with tall green cliffs rearing up behind and to the sides of the hotel, and the sea spread out in front of it down below. As soon as you arrive you feel relaxed. The rooms are lovely as well, we stayed in Doluca 3, one of the cottage suites. Apart from the slightly odd glass window in the bathroom door (we hung a towel over it!) the room was great, and the terrace was a private and lovely place to sit. I'd recommend staying lower down if you can - there are a...

You must stay here!
from TravelSnob1
LOCATION: Far off the beaten path. 40 minutes from Marmaris. Absolutely one of the best views you will have from a hotel. I recommend driving here during the day due to long winding roads. If you don’t have a car you will be spending most of your time at the hotel although they do have shuttles/boats to take you to town. We had a car and didn’t want to leave. Not walking distance to the beach. We have stayed at many beaches in Turkey that are packed with people. To have this semi-private beach with few people was amazing. There...

Delightful stay, great location
from TheSmoggie
We spent a week at The Dionysos in June and what a wonderfully relaxing week it was. The hotel is approx 2-2.5 hour drive from Dalaman airport so it does take some time to get there but it is worth it. Although we arrived at about 11pm we got a personal welcome from the owner and while our bags were taken to our room we enjoyed a complimentary drink at the bar! The Dionysos is set high up above Kumlubuk with exceptional views from virtually anywhere on the property. It is spead over the hillside with rooms being either in small...

The Dionysos, stunning, unusual, a must see
from Dweezil28
Just returned from a week at the stunning Dionysos, Kumbuluk, nr Turunc, Turkey, booked via Anders Travel, Hove (recommended agent). What an amazing place this is, I have never seen a more stunning setting. Whoever decided to build this oasis of clam on a mountainside next to a 300ft canyon had some foresight. Individual cottages dotted on the rocks overlook a fabulous open air bar and restaurant area, and an amazing infinity pool. The views of the bay and mountains are spectacular. The food at the Dionysos restaurant, beach club and Nar...

World Class Hotel, the perfect escape
from snowbiker1
We're just back from 2 weeks at the Dionysos, this was the first time staying there but the 3rd time we've travelled with Exclusive Escapes. The dionysos was a fantastic experience and one I would recommend to anyone. The hotel is located on top of a canyon overlooking Kumlubuk Bay, the hotel is made up of 4 villas, 20 or so cottages and hotel rooms, but designed in a way to make it feel like a village. The hotel centres around the bar and infinity pool below the villas and cottages, and looks out to a stunning view over Kumlubuk...

First Class
from Cate_7
Booked through Exclusive Escapes and I have to say this hotel is one of a kind....perfect for a weeks re-charge away from it all. The rooms (cottage style) are set into the stunning landscape perfectly and they are very well appointed. No need to stay too high up as all rooms have wonderful views and you will have less steps to climb! The infinity pool is simply wonderful and it's only a short ride to either the Sea Club or Yacht Club. The food is excellent (albeit a little pricey), the staff were very pleasant and the service was superb....

It could have been perfect ...
from BugLet
The Dionysos sits at the top of a canyon overlooking Kumlubuk bay. It is built like a village rather than a traditional hotel with a mix of rooms, small cottages and 2 bed villas with private pools. The hotel is set in extensive grounds and gardens and has fabulous views over the bay. It has a large infinity pool, tennis courts, jacuzzi’s and hammocks in the grounds, a small spa and gym, a games room and a private beach club. We had one of the villas with a private pool. The interior and furnishings are simple and functional....

Wonderful Place to stay
from A TripAdvisor Member
This is a wonderful hotel in an even better location, built into the hillside a few miles up from Kumlubuk. Just a word of warning, it was a few years since we went, so location and facilities comments are probably more reliable as the hotel and local villages, in theory, cannot move!! The Hotel is located around the bay from Turunc, which in itself is 2 bays round from Marmaris. When you mention the "M" word, my mind goes into spasm, however I cannot say how far removed this hotel is from the stereo typical impage of "M" (which in the...

Relaxed and quiet
from Bill912
Just back from a week at the Dionysos via Exclusive Escapes. The hotel is very picturesque built in to the side of the mountain and has great views out to sea. The rooms are reasonably sized with big picture windows and a small shower/toilet ensuite. The twin beds are very narrow and not conducive to any form of adult entertainment!! The food at the hotel is good but not the best I've had in Turkey, the sea club restaurant has a more limited menu but is set in a lovely position and has more atmosphere. I'd have to agree...

Stunning Design, Miserable Service
from TopTenChests
The hotel buildings and landscaping are simply stunning. I cannot imagine anyone would not be impressed by the owner's ability to convert such a steep, rugged hillside into such a beautiful hotel. However, neither can I imagine how the owner thinks it is acceptable for his staff to be so unfriendly. Before my week's stay at the Dionysos I spent a week in other locations on the Lycian Coast, and generally found the Turkish people to be extremely friendly and appreciative of my attempts to speak the language. The staff at the Dionysos are...

I have to agree with the previous writers comments. Great location and sea club, but there was a major downside. Rooms now have a restriction on the use of air conditioning to when you are actually in the room. As an athmatic this meant having to sleep without having had... more
