Just got back from this hotel after a fabulous 2 week stay . We had two rooms on the top floor with excellent views. They were very clean as was all of the hotel.
The food was great and varied.
The staff and reps were all very frienly and helpful.
Kizzy, Bryon and Stacey.
We hired a fridge and a safety deposit box .
The pool was very clean and there is plenty of sunbeds so no need to reserve them but people allways do! They also store any left inflatables, buckets , spades, fishing rods, books & magazines etc and run a swap and borrow service for free which is great.
Its about a ten min walk to the beach and is central to many other things to do.
We met lots of people who visit this hotel regularly and everyone had posotive comments.
Great hotel this was our 2nd visit and we will return again in the near future.

Have just returned on 4th August from an 11 night stay and had a fantastic holiday!! We had 2 spacious rooms which were always cleaned to a high standard every day. We even had the room cleaned on our last day when we booked it until 6pm complete with lots of extra clean towels. Lovely outdoor area with a large swimming pool and lots of grass area. The pool was always very clean.
The food was excellent, always piping hot, continually refilled. Good selection everyday and kids had there own food bar with a different selection of food. This is by far the best hotel we have stayed in for food choice!
The hotel is in a good location between the main shopping street/resort centre and the port. Only a 5 minute walk to the lovely beach.
Would definately go back to this hotel and would recommend it.

recent holiday - room nightmare

We returned from the Delfin Azul on the 21 July 2011. I can honestly say it was a great place for kids, the entertainment was good, kids disco, bingo and tribute bands, the price of the drinks let this down slightly! 3.50 for a fruit shoot!
Our room was very disappointing, no balcony even though the website did not mention this at all. Room was full of wet clothes all the time, a big health and safety issue as my little boy could climb out the window if he stood on the bed so we had to rearrange the room. The reps were pretty useless a 19 year old that had only been a rep for 5 weeks, no complaint training what so ever she just keep saying sorry.. not very useful, obviously no kids herself!
We over heard they were 13 rooms over booked and were putting guests in the staff quarter to the right of the pool. Guess we got slightly lucky!!
One play area was closed off as dangerous, bits were falling of the climbing area. Other play area was fine just not much in there.
Pool was always clean and it was always busy.
Now down to the food, don’t get me wrong it was ok, however we ate out two nights as we found it very boring, same thing every night. My little boy loved having cake for breakfast and dinner but hey it was edible. The Brussels and mayo were a bit to be desired for.
We didn’t experience a break in thank goodness.
We would return if we had a decent room and a well trained rep!
It was a fab resort nice and clean and the beach was only a 5 min walk. Would advise a pushchair for smaller children and there is a busy road to cross to get to the beach.

Just come back from spending a week at the Delfin Azul.
liked the hotel it was clean enough and the bed was comfy. Loved the pool, but was disappointed in the fact that you couldn't have an early morning swim... only open between 9.00am and 8.00 pm.
The safes were very ancient and not securely fastened down. The food was very bland in taste and tepid. not much variety and everything looked and tasted as if it was supermarket seconds. I like bland food, but even I struggled to name the jelly flavours. (so subtle it was very hard to tell) and as for the fruit it all tasted like it was out of a tin. I also object to having to pay for a drink with my evening dinner(not even water or a cup of tea free)

I feel sorry for the man who wrote the below! I met him in the lift just after he got robbed?
There was a string of robberys in 6 hotels in the resort. It's not just the delfin. All i can say is I have been going to this hotel for just over 2 1/2 years now. In total i have been 11 times in this short period. I dont have a bad word to say. I mainly go back because of the friends i have made. Ryan, Jay and Alex are top top pple. Love these guys to a T Great hotel, great surroundings, beautiful beach, food is always brilliant. Also just around the corner from the hotel you will find an english bar called The foxes Arms, if ever you miss breakfast in the hotel i reccomend you go there! For a very very expensive 5 euros you have the best english breakfast you could wish for. Also same go's for sunday, if u miss ur roast beef and yorkshire pudding on a sunday, there sunday roasts are A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! If u read this go and try and dont like, i'll fetch ur bill, just say to Jamie or Karen stuart ryan from the delfin's friend is picking this tab up Obv it wont happen as the food is brill. Really reccomend this hotel for all familys. The entertainment staff really look after your kids. Got back myself 4 days ago, go 9 weeks tmoz for a week then when back go 7 weeks later to finish the season off :0 good times p.s if any 1 wants to know anything about the hotel/staff or surroundings feel free to drop me an e-mail x

This was our second and last visit to this hotel, do not go here if you want to keep your money or goods as on our first full day all our money and any other valubales were taken from our room along with several other rooms that were robbed on the same day, all entered with no signs of force used, reception did not want to know and even said that anyone could get into the rooms with a paper clip. 1 guest whom we traveled to the Guardia Civil with caught someone stealing from his room and took him to reception who let the thief walk out of the hotel with everything he had stolen, during our 2 week stay the hotel rooms were robbed on a regular basis, the reps and hotel staff tried to claim that it was just a few rooms and due to the iron man contest but we met at least 7 other guests that had been robbed whislt we were there, when we got home and checked the review sites we came across lots of reports going back over a year of rooms being robbed, so not just a few during the contest as they claimed.
the hotel is in a great location but that is were it ends, the walls are so thin you can hear everything from all rooms nearby add to that the music blasting out till after 11pm then the drunks returning till the small hours and you realise sleep is something you dream of.
The food is good with a reasonable choice, but rarely hot, we only got 3 hot meals in our 2 week stay.
Rooms are basic and small, nothing special.
Our advice try elsewere, at least you get to spend your hard earned money instead of letting somelse have it as and when they feel like it.

Our expectations of this hotel was far exceeded! Clean and bright reception with friendly staff. Rooms cleaned daily which was nice. Resturant was good, different food offered every night which suited all of my family including fussy kids. Pool was good, plenty room and sun loungers, umbrellas, etc. The entertainment staff were excellent, fun, energetic bunch who really got to know you and always up for a chat and play with the kids. Daytime entertainment was good, kids got into all the games and grown ups too - waterpolo good laugh!! Evening entertainment really good, started with the mini disco which our kids adored - all of the singers at night were excellent too - most of which we enjoyed from our balcony (request a pool view)!
Lunch is good value for money but drinks were expensive, esp kids ones. (ask for a fridge for your room and shop at Lidl's down the road and stock up on cartons of juice and bottles of water, etc)
Thomson's staff were really friendly and helpful.
Weather was fantastic for early May.
Beach only a few mins walk from the hotel
Down side was we paid over the odds for our holiday but shop around to get a good deal as this is a hotel worth a visit!

We went in October 2010 it was mine and my 2yr olds first holiday abroad with my Boyfriend and i must say it was the most amazing 7 days.As soon as we got there it was full on help the people and reps that worked there were soo friendly showed us where to go where things out of the hotel where and generally been helpful, Alhtough we had a road side view the scene was still amazing could stil see the water park in good detail we went to the water park although we did go first thing on the morning when it was a bit cloudy so my son did get cold quickly as the water ws frezing so we didnt get our moneys worth but we did have fun while we were there. we went into the market and it was beautiful not too much hasseling by the owners of the stalls either which was a change from when we went to the harbor people running out of the shops draging you in to look. The beach is the most gorgeous thing ive ever seen its 9 euros for two sunbeds and a umbrella so we ended up taking a lilo and a towel and just using that.Back at the hotel Food was lovley im not a fussy eater and neither is my son so we were happy with the chicken curry and he had pizza or chow main for tea some odd choices for deserts but ice cream is always a good option for children . rooms were cleaned every day, drinks were expensive so we bough them from the spar on the corner and drink in our room on the balcony most night coctails were supurb 4 euros but were worth it ,but water at dinner wasnt expensive so we had that with our dinner. we went and drank at a english pub just down the street on the righ hand side called starggers in that place made our holiday. All in all a brilliant holiday would go again with out a doubt !

2009, me, my family and some family friends stayed here and we had no problems at all. i wish they wuold off an all inc option those as the drinks could be a little pricey "/ but managable. the hotel reps were fa and always messing around palying games with the kids. ie throwing my 15 year old sister in the pool :) it was funny. the area is lovely and all the bars were freindly and good fun. ive seen some reviews saying stay away from the 6.95 chinese buffet, i loved it and stuffed my face! there is a bar/pub called star bar where the staff are all very friendly and the odd free drink is given. the beach was amazing and i loved going down there, especially when i went on the glass bottom boat and got to jump into the sea in a beautiful cove. i would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone. id love to go back if they offered all inc because me and my friends arent willing to buy drinks constantly aha! also the pool was gorgeous and although it was busy at times it was nice to dip in when the weather got too hot, and it did that summer, i think it got to nearly 40 degrees. the food was a little boring but there is plenty of cafes and restraunts to go to around and they are really close by! the spar just two or three minutes away is fab and water is cheap as chips! the room was always clean and the air con was amazing, some nights i would end up under my sheets totally, it was a nice break from the heat as it was so hot. recpetion staff were lovely and were always ready to talk and help, and one night the man on reception played football with us!
around and about there is go karting, a circus, burger king, a beautiful beach, lots of bars, alcudia market (which is beautiful!) and a street market where there are plenty of bargains to snap up!
I WANT TO GO AGAIN! EVERY YEAR!
entertainment was fab and always a good laugh, each act interacted with the audience and the kids mini disco had everyone, and i mean everyone dancing to the old classics. we were all star trekking before long!
in a nut shell i really loved it, as you can probably tell and would defo go again without a second thought!
