Me and my girlfriend went to the delfin azul for a nice relaxing holiday!!!!!!!!!!! well we thought that until we got there.

They should of named the hotel KIDS KINGDOM the place was over run by kids jumping over you in the swimming pool as your lying on your lilo screaming every time we went for dinner nightmare.



Apart from that the hotel is very nice, nice size rooms good selection of food all the staff are friendly



day time entertainment was good darts, pool water polo etc



Entertainment was excellent good tribute bands everynight, the bar was very expensive for 2 alcoholic drinks it cost 9 euros



There is one entertainer there that absolutly loved herself her name michelle dancing around looking at herself in the mirror and trying to get the attention of the tribute bands



dont go on the excursion to inca market as all of the stalls are exactly the same and for 3 hours you will be bored stiff specially if your a bloke



overall excellent hotel not really for couples looking for a relaxing holiday

I totally agree with Mr Channell, we have just returned from this hotel last week and we had a brilliant holiday. I couldn't fault this hotel at all, it was spotless, cleaned daily, new towels daily. All the staff were extremeley helpful & friendly and great with the kids. I'm quite a fussy eater as is my 7yr old daughter but there was always something that we liked. The poolside entertainment was good through the day to keep you from being bored by the pool & the evening entertainment was good too. We were situated at the front of the hotel near the main road & it was very quiet, which i wasn't expecting it to be, it wasn't the biggest of rooms but had ample storage for clothes for a family of 4 which is all that you need. I would certainly recommend this hotel for families, i would certainly go back. Ignore the negative reviews, i was concerned after reading some before we went but they are talking complete rubbish, you'll have a great stay.

having read some of the reviews i can't believe how far from the truth they are,i went with my family and brother in law and family and can honestly say it was one of the best holidays we have had the food was fantastic and a good choice covered all corners for breakfast and evening meals cant think of anything else they could put on.the staff were brilliant and very helpful,hotel rooms were spotless hotel was very clean so for the people to say dont stay at this hotel dont listen to them please stay at this hotel highly recommended entertainment was really good no need to leave hotel at all 10/10

Perfectly adequate in most ways if you remember that it is considerably cheaper than the average hotel. You get what you pay for, personally I think the food catered for everyone, yes it could have been a little better at times but there was always soemthing you could eat.



However I would not return due to the clientele, chips for breakfast?! And the lack of respect shown by some towards the staff made me very uncomfortable - I dont think I have ever seen anyone click their fingers at a waiter before!!

By the end of the week i was pretty sick of listening to drunk people at 1 am who had sat in the bar all night with their small children. We were perhaps unfortunate and when the half term week came to an end the atmosphere seemed to become a lot calmer.



If you were paying more for the holiday then the rooms would be very dissapointing , uncomfortable beds and small balconies, however the standard is reflected in the price.

Most of the staff were excellent, restaurant staff in particular were very accommodating



The rooms maids do need to be e little more meticulous with cleaning bathrooms.



Cheap and cheerful, avoid half term and do not expect a higher standard than the price you have paid.

Very clean hotel with excellent maid service. The majority of staff are very welcoming and friendly. Rooms small but adequate and clean. Pool area very nice, plenty of space and sunbeds, always kept clean and tidy. Entertainment OK, however we went as a couple and feel the resort as a whole is much more appropriate for families. Food average, towards the end of the holiday choices became very limited. The choices for children consisted of fried food, always chips. Dining area clean and very professionally ran. Unfortunately during our stay the weather wasn´t great, apparently this is not normal, in fact hasn´t happened this time of year in 18 years. We did have an accident on the first day and my partner required medical treatment. We asked one of the reps who told us to go to the local doctor. He required stitches to his head, we felt slightly disappointed that at no time during the rest of the holiday did the rep ask if he was OK! Just felt this would have been good customer service. Beach very nice, clean and the sea was lovely. 9 euro charge for 2 sunbeds, so make sure you are going to make a day of it! Generally we had a good holiday, however would recommend this resort to families as it too quiet for young couples.

This is our 11th time at this hotel and we love it every time.

myself my parents and my brother go away for two weeks every year. the entertainment staff are very friendly and we love the waiter Biel!

the receptionists are polite and do their very best every year!

We have become very good friends with all of the staff at this hotel and local people that own bars and clubs!

we phone each other most the time and ensure them that we will be seeing them again

My husband and I have just read the previous comments from other people who also stayed at this hotel during May 2008 and are disappointed by what has been said.



We travelled with our three children, aged 8, 2 and 8 months old and our stay was most enjoyable other than the weather.



The hotel was very clean and well looked after, the maid service was great with fresh linen and towels daily. We had more than enough hangers and space for our clothes (for all five of us!) We were located on the fifth floor overlooking the pool and didn't experience any of the noise noted by anyone else.



All the staff within the hotel were really polite and helpful and made a fuss of our children, nothing was too much trouble for them! We found the selection of meals within the restaurant adequate. There wasn't a day when we were stuck for a different choice of meal and enjoyed the theme night aswell. One of our sons has an egg allergy and didn't have any difficulty in eating, he especially enjoyed the different range of fish available most days. There was even a separate selection for children (if there was any left after the picky adults had finished!)



The only down point we would mention is that the pool was too cold for our younger children, other than that it was great and we would DEFINATELY stay again in this hotel.

My family (wife and 2 kids) have just got back from staying at this hotel, the rooms were very clean and linen changed everyday, we were on the first floor facing the pool which was a nice view, after midnight it was very noisy outside due to some holiday makers playing the machines and still drinking and chatting (would suggest door to outside be locked after 1am). Night time entertainment was very good and the kids loved the disco and learning the new dances, the meals were ok and all the staff we came across were very friendly, we would stay here again-just a shame the weather was poor this time. Beaches we thought were great and very clean and didn't get hassled from beach sellers.

the food is really crap to be honest & mostly the same each day & you can bet 100 euro's

Your gonna have pork every night as one of the dishes. you could cook better at home with your eyes closed to tell the truth !!

my husband, our little girl aged two and I have just returned from a one week stay at this hotel. it was an okay place to stay, but in comparison to other half board holidays we have been on, the food selection really let the hotel down.



also, with dinner if you wanted water you had to purchase it in the restaurant at the cost of 1.70 euros! one evening we were dining and our little girl had a cup of water that we had taken in with us, bearing in mind she is only two, and we got told off as we had not purchased it in the restaurant! I have never been on holiday anywhere where they have charged so much for a bottle of water, especially as the shop next door only charges 40 cents!



the daytime entertainment was okay, but nothing was aimed at children as young as our little girl, so she could not participate and the evening entertainment was good but in comparison to the amount of children the dancefloor was pretty small.



the rooms were nice and the maid service was excellent, clean towels every day, which was really nice.



the resort was okay, but I found the beach to be quite dirty, every time we dug the sand to build sandcastles with our little girl we came across bits of plastic wrapping and all sorts of other rubbish!



I have previously stayed at the other end of this resort and from memory would say it was much more pleasant and clean.



I would not return to this hotel.

Rooms in this hotel are very small and basic and have very little storage space for families i.e ( 5 hangers for my wife myself and 13 month old), on the upside with the rooms the maids did a sterling job in keeping them clean and provided fresh laundry every day.

The reception staff are very friendly and helpful, they speak fluent English which always helps.



The restaurant is very clean, but the all important food let it down, just too plain and bland, serving the same kind of meals every night, we ended up eating out in town and we were only there for a week!!!!



Now to the real problem that we encountered, our room was flooded with boiling water, the boiler exploded flooding four floors and very nearly made the ceiling in our bathroom collapse, luckily no-one was in the room at the time, though five minutes earlier my 13 month old was in the bath I dread to think what would have happened had she been hit by the Boiling water. We were made aware that this is not the first time that this has happened, seems to me that rooms affected should not be sold.

2nd time at this hotel and goin back again in july 2008

our 2 kids loved it and made friends easily as it was mostly british holidaymakers staying there. Art was great with kids and the adults.. hope he is still there when we return . my only gripe would be, no tv in the room to keep the kids occupied while we got ready for night time and the bar a bit pricey.

but overall a very good hotel with good staff and plenty to do day and night.

The hotel is lovely and very clean. We found the entertainment was excellent for our young children, but not so good for our teenagers.



The staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool was lovely the hotel is five mins from beach, but across a very busy road. It is worth a visit though the water stays shallow for quite a long way and the beach is very clean.



We went on a trip to the western water park all the kids enjoyed this a great day. The downsides to the holiday the food was not good it all looked and smelt the same we ended up eating out quite a lot. There is no courtesy room so if you couldn’t keep your room there was no were to get changed or showered our flight was midnight. There is also no baggage room all this said we did enjoy our holiday but would not return.
