Hotel Description:

With a sandy beach only steps away‚ excellent facilities for children and all the amenities you’d expect from such a large hotel‚ the Condesa de la Bahia is a haven for a family holiday. When the sun goes down‚ there are plenty of bars and discos just a bus journey away‚ although the hotel’s own programme of entertainment may well persuade you to stay close to home.

" great hotel "

we have just got back from 11 days at the condesa bahia hotel, we couldnt fault the hotel. had excellant stay.
the cleaners came in every morning to make the bed and empty the bins.
the restuarant staff were very friendly.
we would love to go back to the hotel again.
the only thing my partner was not keen on was there was a man behind the bar, everytime we went to get drinks he would shake the tip plate at us asking for tips.( we were all inclusive) we didnt mind giving them to the other staff in the hotel like the cleaners and restuarant waiters, but all he had to do was stand there and serve drinks!
but apart from that it was great.

" Great Hotel, Friendly Staff, Lovely Beach !  "

We have just come back from hotel condesa de la bahia. I went with my twin sister (16), brother (10), and my mum and dad.
All the staff were very friendly. The waiters/waitresses worked very hard and were always running around clearing up cups, plates etc. and refilling your drinks. The food was really nice and the puddings were presented beautifully! Although the food was a bit repetitive, chips, pasta, rice and pork everyday. My mum, sister and I are all fussy eaters, but we always had something to eat.
There are slush puppy machines outside, as well as lollys and a proper ice cream machine ! Yummy !
Every morning there is a usual rush for the sunbeds. There is actually a sign saying NOT to reserve them, but the hotel can't do anything about that as people are only going to complain if the hotel takes peoples towels off the sunbeds. Some people would leave their towels on them and not actually appear until mid-day which was a bit unfair. But hay ho. The hotel is actually on the beach. There are sunbeds which you can reserve all day for 5 euros each or two for 9 euros. The sea was really clear - you had to walk out quite far until it was deep.
The pools are great. It was nice to go and have a little swim to cool down as it was so hot. They were clean and not too cold !
The rooms were good, pretty simple but clean. I must mention the showers.... It is like a walk in shower and there are a few jets which blast out water, although when I figured out how to use it, it was too late as it hurt my sunburn lol ! There is a TV, you get a few free channels inlcuding english news, and MTV ! :) Unfortunately both our rooms had a rubbish view (as we were at the back), but I’m not complaining because we didn't go on holiday to look out of our balcony. There was air conditioning in the rooms which was great at night - we had to turn ours down because we was cold !
For the amount of people that sat down to watch the entertainment, I think that should have put on a few more professional shows. The team did try hard but it did get a bit boring.
Overall, it was a great holiday !

" paradise "

Just got back from this amazing hotel. Was very worried after reading some of the reviews but please do not let it put you off. We could not fault it at all. Very clean and well run. Location was perfect, beautiful sea view from our first floor bedroom. Food a bit samey but very well cooked and presented. Perfect hotel for all ages of children. Entertainment was varied, but we did enjoy the Abba night. Everything finished about 12.00 and there was no noise after this time. Sunbeds hard to get hold of but was quite happy on the beach. I would love to return to this hotel and recommend it to my friends and family.

Advice: Alcudia has everything that any holiday maker is looking for

" Heaven "

Well we have just come back from yet another absolutely fantastic holiday at this hotel. We have stayed at the Condesa about 12 times now and still love the place.
The hotel is clean and spacious, and the staff are so nice and friendly. We will be booking again for next year.

" Better than ever "

We have just returned from our fifth holiday since 1999 at the Condesa. This was our first time all inclusive, previously it has been half board.
Location: As brilliant as ever, you walk from the pool area onto the fantastic beach with shallow blue sea, ideal for families of all ages.
Accomodation: Rooms are as you would expect, we had two single beds and a settee which became a bed for our 14 year old. Nice bathroom, room cleaned daily and beds made. The view was fantastic, overlooking the sea/beach even though we didnt request a sea view.
Food/Drink: There is the main restaurant and the poolside cafe. Both provide a vast variety of food and in my opinion there is something for everyone to try. Drinks are available all day/night. Anything on the drinks menu marked with a star is free and there are drinks stations where you can help yourself to wine, larger, soft drinks and tea and coffee. There is also icecream on tap. The best bit is you dont need to spend anything for this, and with the price of the euro as it is this has been a godsend.
Service: The staff are all friendly and helpful, which helped to make our holiday brilliant.
Entertainment: We didnt use any of the kids facilities as ours are too old now, but there was always lots going on. The Animacion staff never stopped all day and even put on a show one night. There was a kiddies disco/entertainment earlier on, then bingo with a first prize of upto 140 euros (not bad if you win). Then at 10pm there was a show, we saw a variety of entertainment during the week.
So in summary this is a fantastic hotel for families and couples, the location is superb and the all inclusive now makes it even better. Would I go back for a sixth time? You bet.

Advice: Great family resort with a stunning beaqch

" A 3 Star Hotel but a 5 Star Holiday "

I have recently returned from a 2 week holiday at the Condesa de la Bahia ( 2 adults,3 kids, 11,12 & 14).I read all the reviews last Sept before booking and cannot understand why there are any bad ones,
We had a great holiday. The hotel was clean, well organised and the Thomson reps were on hand twice a day and very helpful. The rooms are a bit basic and not much storage space for three but that was the only minor thing which did not bother us as all we did was sleep and wash there. The food and choice was excellent(better than expected). One of the boys is a fussy eater and he always found something that he could eat.The rice/salad dishes were exceptional. The brochure said the snack bar on the beach was not free but it is now and is ideal as you can take your food onto the beach(on a plastic plate). The pool bar was available for drinks from about 10am(4 juices, coke, fanta orange/lemon,sprite),tea/coffe, all just serve yourself. The bar was open between 11:30 & 23:30. San Miguel was serve yourself but you could get a good selection of alcohol (for free)ie: Vodka, Gin,Brandy,Malibu,Bacardi,Peach Snapps,Cava,5 x Cocktails,Baileys - all house brands apart from Smirnoff, so how anyone can whinge about having to pay for any drinks is unbelievable when there is such a choice for free. The entertainment team, 3 women & 2 men are great, especially with the kids but also with adults. Kids could get soleros and magnums and ice cream tubs at the bar all day, no need for adults to run around after them.
The beach was great, just down 5 steps. The sea was warm and you could walk out 100 metres and still the water was only up to your waist.
Alcudia harbour and old town was each to get to on the bus(1.25 euros). We visited the market on a Tuesday(cheaper than the shops).
I have no problem in recommending this Hotel,it is ideal for familles with younger children, I would definitely return and probably will.

" ok "

we have just got back from the condesa on thursday night after spending 11 days there i would say the hotel is a 70/30 split between bad and good the only real problem i had was that the rooms were too small and they needed upgrading badly we had to pay 130 euros to upgrade to a superior room which on arrival looked like what a normal hotel room should look like there was no difference in the size only the bath and sink where in a habital condition(the bath in the first room was corroded and had no enamel left on it and with having a one year old son i wouldnt put him in it).
after saying all that though apart from the room the hotel is very good the all inclusive package is brilliant loads of choice for food good english breakfast lots of fresh salad rice pasta for dinner and tea and there was a good choice it gets a bit repetive but all hotels do,there is also a waiter service of an evenin for all your drinks which were very genourous in prtion sizes spirits werent watered down to my knowledge and all the staff were very helpful and friendly.
overall i would give the condesa a 7 as the rooms are not to my standard and meal times were very strict if you fancied somethin to eat after nine o`clock of an evenin there was no snack bar and it was the same after 2 o`lock durin the day but overall was good i wouldnt go again but had a good time all the same

Returned for the second time from Alcudia were we stayed at Condesa De La Bahia. The hotel was as good as last time.
The resturant staff are really friendly and very helpful espically when getting a high chair for our little one.
The hotel was spotless and the new improvement to the resturant just made it even nicer.
The entertainment was brillant espically the mini disco as our little one enjoyed watching and joining in.
The location is excellant and the views were great. I can't wait to book for next year.

Advice: Visit the port and the old town

" Lovely Hotel "

Im glad to see this hotel has such high reviews. It desrves it.
The location could not be better it would be impossible to be closer to the beach.
The pools are great, very clean and big.
Food is great, good variety and available all day, friendly staff, all eating areas are clean and well managed.
Room was spacious and clean, had a bath which with shower head which was nice instead of just a shower, our room had a little sofa as well as the beds, we also had a nice balcony, the brochure said we'd have limited sea views, but the view was great, right opposite the sea much more than we expected.
Everything about the hotel was nice, no complaints.
The area is good: shops, restaurants and bars in both directions and taxis are really cheap. We went to aquaworld? or something with a similar name on a coach provided, this would be ok for young kids, but we found the place very small and the trip is overpriced because you can walk around the whole place in 5 minutes and the dolphins are reallt teh only attraction.
Overall a great hotel and location.

Advice: Lovely beaches and a plseant mixture of peace and activity.

" I LOVE THIS PLACE "

This was my 14th time at this hotel and it seems to just get better and better every year.
The staff are all lovely, the pools, beaches and sea are all gorgeous and the whole hotel has a fantastic atmosphere.
The food has improved a lot over the past 5years and now it's fantastic - especially the breakfasts!
My family and I have met so many people over the last few years and we've made some incredible friends and still today there's approximately 30 of us who all go on holiday together every year.
All in all, this hotel has given us some wonderful memories over the past fourteen years and we're already booked to go again next year! Majorca is a beautiful island and everyone should go there and to this hotel. I would recommend it to anyone. It's amazing x

Advice: Alcudia has waterparks, markets and the hotel offers day trips to go to the capital city Palma etc.

Activities: An English pub just down the road called Smiths and the waterpark called the Hidropark - both fab!

" AMAZING!!!!

This hotel... "

AMAZING!!!!

This hotel was brilliant. me and my girlfriend (we are 21 and 20) arrived at 1am and the staff were really friendly and had laid on a prepared meal inside the restaurant. we were in room 392 which had amazing views of the pool and the beach. i could almost touch the water.

the food every day was lovely. every morning there is a buffet fried breakfast which i enjoyed every single day. lunch i dined at the snack bar which normally consisted of salds, chips, pizza, sausages chicken and dinner time i was back in the restaurant and every single night they had different selections aswell as the usual of chips. i found the food to always be very nice, hot and the cleanliness very good. also every single night they do a bbq which i must recomend. amazing if your a meat lover.!!

the bar was self service during the day and night for beer and soft drinks as well as bar staff on hand to supply liquers etc. the beer was san miguel which im not a strong lover of but it was always very cold. the soft drinks were brand of coca cola sprite etc. which i really enjoyed. the liquers were not brande4d but you could pay extra if wanted.

unfortunately the weather was a bit poor the first 4 days but it didnt spoil it one bit. everything was excellent.

the only thing i could find fault with was the way the waitresses would whip your plate away sometimes even before you had finished chewing or if you looked like you were nearing the end. and the bar staff constantly shouting for tips and wrattling there tip trays in front of you as you were trying to order.

all in all though the hotel was amazing. perfect location and a definate must for anyone. it may be a family orientated holiday but there is plenty to do in the town a 2 minuite taxi ride away if you are young.

Top class.

will return.

" Having just returned from Alcudia, i... "

Having just returned from Alcudia, i would like to say that the hotel Condesa de la bahia was brillant.

The staff were really friendly and the location was perfect for a family with a young child.

The hotel was kept really clean as there was an army of cleaners every morning. The reception staff were very helpful plus they spoke in the different languages when required.

The hotel run kids club was by fair the best we have seen by encouraging the kids to speak different languages and keeping them occupied with various activities throughout the day.

We look forward to returning in 2009
