Goreme House

We have some experience as to hotels, pensions, guesthouses etc. all have pro's and con's; however, Goreme House gave 'excellent' a new meaning! Travelling through the south and east of turkey we had -unfortunately- only time for three nights in cappadocia, we wish it had been more... We stayed in this hotel while touring Turkey with a group. I had been looking forward to staying in a Cave Hotel, but the hotel change was a very pleasant surprise. We were lucky enough to get a corner room , which is basically a suite. The breakfast was fantasic , served on the roof with an excellent view, and they are willing to cook your eggs freshly and any way you like them. Had not found that any where else. We were dropped by a bus at 2am in the morning. We had emailed Goreme house saying that we would stay. I rang 16ks from the hotel in hope. They answered and said that they would come and pick us up. WHAT GREAT SERVICE. This did not finish. The breakfast on the terrace was fantastic with great views. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. They helped arrange our balloon flight and various tours. Goreme was a highlight of our 4 weeks in Turkey.

My friend Suzanne and I stayed at the Goreme House in late April 2008 for 6 nights. We had a great vacation. Halas, his father and the staff were all very wonderful hosts giving us great directions for new hikes every day and helping with excusions out of town. You can hike to a different place everyday from Goreme so it is a great place to be based. I had select this hotel after reading reviews from Trip Advisor. The contact to make reservations was very good, and the hotel is very nice. Rooms have good space, they are not tinny box like most small hotels. Price are good, they are not so cheap, but worth the price I had payed( 60 euros for single room).

Lovely hotel. Nice ambiance and nice views from the cafeteria. 5 minutes by walk to the town center. Comfortable, wide and clean rooms. The owner is very pleasant, gives you all kind of facilities : car rental, ballooning,...

Lovely hotel in quiet/scenic location. Convenient walk to town's main street. Hotel keeper, Ahmed, was so genuinely caring and attentive to our needs. Very nice room with comfortable furnishings in the style of Cappadocia. Very nice breakfast included.

I found this enchanting cave hotel on the TurkeyTravelPlanner website. As soon as I saw it, I knew it was where I wanted us to spend our honeymoon! As our plans continued, we found the hotel managers, Murat and Pinar, also had a fabulous travel agency, Proper Travel. They offered such services as Weddings. My worries were over! "Welcome friends" When we entered the big gate to the beautiful courtyard we saw this sign, and yes, all the time we stayed at the " Goreme house " hotel we felt more like friends than costumers. The hotel is small, only 13 rooms, the decor is in traditional Anatolian style, the rooms are comfortable with nice bathrooms. July 12 Goreme House, Goreme To write Reviews I forget about after I come back home = so why not do it while we are still here and use the facilities of the house to be online! Mean time I can get rid of my worcaholic use of the computer and do something good as to inform other people who still have not decided where to take off to for holidays.
