Gobi Pension

We stayed one night at Gobi Pension in Bergama on our first anniversary holiday. All our other hotels had been booked by our travel agent but we'd read about Gobi on TripAdvisor and decided to try it - we're so glad we did! The place was easy to spot, and is centrally located in the middle of the main street in Bergama. This was our favorite hotel in Turkey. The room was basic, the hotel was pretty, and Mustafa and his family are fabulous. We had the best dinner and breakfast here. It’s a great place to meet other travelers and is a good base for sightseeing in the area. We had no problems with street noise. Overall wonderful stay.

Centrally located on a main street near shops and sites. The room was clean and basic. What made our stay wonderful was the hospitality of Mustafa and his family. From the moment we first arrived, he was very generous with his time and gave us a lot of useful information. We enjoyed delicious dinners and breakfasts in their garden. This a great place to stay, in a great location. It is very welcoming and everything about the place from the breakfast to free wi-fi exemplifies what a budget accommodation should offer. Most importantly all the people working there make you feel welcome and not some inconvenience that has got in their way.

A real lıttle gem - so glad I found thıs place. The Gobı pensıon ıs close to everythıng and ıs tradıtıonally decorated wıth spacıous clean rooms and hot water all day. Mustafa and hıs famıly were so welcomıng and the garden at the back to sıt ın ıs lovely. They showed me around and helped wıth all my trıp plannıng and I ended up stayıng extra nıghts. Sometimes you're lucky and sometimes not when you rely on a guide book for accommodation. In case of the Gobi Pension we definitely lucked out! The most impressive thing for us was the kind and warm welcome we received by the hosts, Mustafa and his father. They even remembered all their guests name (and the place was fully booked the last night we stayed there)! My stay at Gobi was short and sweet. Mustafa and his father are very warm and welcoming and made me feel very much at home. I was fortunate enough for Mustafa to show me around and would recommend anyone passing through Bergama to stay at Gobi pension.

We booked one night in another pension (Boblingen) and were miserable. Later we walked passed Gobi Pension and asked about their prices. Mustafa and his father Gobi were soooo warm, friendly and affordable that we decided to stay a few more days in Bergama just because of them. The rooms are clean and inviting, The beds were very comfortable and the shower was HOT, even in the morning! Gobi pension is centrally located within walking distance to all the main tourist attractions and transport. The pension is lovingly run by the delightfully hospitable Gobi family and the rooms and bathrooms are clean and comfy. A delicious turkish breakfast is served amongst the peaceful garden surroundings in the backyard and the street-front terrace is perfect for a cool drink and watching the world go by .
