This holiday was supposed to be a girly holiday full of fun and laughs. I’m afraid if that’s what you want then you need to go somewhere else.

The resort is perfect for families; children’s entertainment was very good. Outside of the hotel there were a few bars but not much nightlife; most places provided family entertainment and not what we were looking for.

The hotel itself was very nice; staff very friendly, the entertainment staff were very funny and made the holiday very enjoyable for many families. The funniest entertainment staff I’ve ever seen.

Nice to take a trip round the old town and also to the harbour. The harbour was very good for a lovely evening meal.

We found the hotel very enjoyable to stay in, the staff were excellent and all spoke and understood English. The rooms were clean and a decent size and had air-conditioning which was appreciated in the heat. The pool area was fantastic with a large deep(ish) pool for the adults and older children to mess about in, a large shallower pool which people were lazing about in and a small paddling pool for the very young children.

The entertainment was very good with the tiny tots disco (aimed at 0-6 year olds), which our 20 month old daughter danced to every night and thought it was the bees knees. This went on for about 15 minutes then it was quiz/bingo/open the box unless there was a outside performer on. These ranged from the parrot show (very good), reptile show (very good), birds of prey (very good until the birds had a fight to the death), magician (good) and a couple of singers (not my cup of tea but some people enjoyed them).

We thought Minty was excellent and he put more effort into entertaining people in the day and the night on his own than other teams we have seen, he also offers sensible advice about the area and what to do and look for, if asked.

Overall it was an excellent holiday, we would fully recommend it. We would have given it 10 points if the beds were more comfortable.

Returned from our 2 weeks holiday at alcudia beach apartments last week and already waiting to return again next year. What a great place to stay - great location, just a short walk to a fabulous beach, some great restaurants that serve fantastic freshly cooked food as appose to the normal microwaved rubbish that we have previously experienced during previous holidays.

The hotel itself is just fabulous, from reception staff to entertainment, they deliver nothing but the best customer service. The rooms although are a little on the 'tired' side are adequate for sleeping and chilling in the mornings and evenings and are kept clean.

We took the whole family this year, ranging from 12 years up to 25 years old and were concerned that there wouldn't be enough to keep the whole family amused, but how wrong could we be, mainly thanks to Minty who is great with all ages - from keeping law and order (yes there really was control over hogging the sun beds - a first in my expereince), to providing great entertainment in the evenings - this guy deserves a medal ('Mr Alcudia beach' is not to be misssed).

The reception and bar staff were great, all spoke very good English and worked extremeley hard to make sure that everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable time and were obviosly a happy and well managed team. Well done guys and look forward to seeing you again next year.

This was our second visit to the Alcudia Beach Aparthotel, as we had enjoyed it so much last year. The location is excellent, five mins walk to the beach, lots of great places to eat, such as Roma, Luna's Grill, White Rose to name but a few.

Trouble is this time we had a lot of problems with noisy neighbours. The walls are paper thin, and I think above us we had clog dancers, and to the side of us we had a family who were doing their best to open every cupboard door and drawer and slam them shut as hard as they could, and drag furniture all over the place.

We were not the only ones talking about the noise situation, many people were moaning about it around the pool. Main problem were when "younger folks" were coming in early in the morning very merry, they were not considering that us "older folks" were in bed trying to sleep. In the fortnight stay, I did not get one good nights sleep, which spoilt the holiday.

The "entertainment"- well, Minty tries his best, but it certainly wasn't our or our kid’s cup of tea. We did watch a professional show of Spanish Dancers that I did enjoy, shame some in the audience were talking loudly and not giving the act the respect it should have.

The decor in the hotel is now very tired, and personally needs a revamp, we had sheets with stains on and towels with holes in, certainly not as good as last year, and we love Alcudia itsself so we will return, but not to Alcudia Beach.

Terrible holiday. The...

Terrible holiday. The entertainment is the worse you will ever see. Minty the one man band is big headed, not funny and his style is very close to being bully boy entertainment. The girl who runs the kids club is there for a job in Spain and that's it. How anyone can find this guy entertaining is beyond me. If you like 1970s style hi-de-hi then this is for you, if not stay away.

We were 6 18 year old girls who stayed at Alcudia beach and we had the most amazing time. Although it was a family place we loved it.

The entertainment staff were brilliant and so nice, the Thompson reps were excellent and the studios we stayed in were quite small, but we can't complain otherwise.

We'd go back anytime just for Minty.

The beach which was about 5 minutes away was beaut, we went paragliding and banana boating.

The restaurants nearby were awful, but the restaurants at the port, about 15 minutes away were lovely. The club bells was about a 5 minute walk which was awesome.

We had an amazing time and would definitely go back.

The Hotel is great, very clean and the rooms are air conditioned which is a bonus because it was very hot. Minty and Tammy the hotel entertainment team were great and get everyone involved, the kids loved the disco.

Alcudia is a lovely place and the beach is fantastic, the sea is very shallow for quite a long way out which is good for the kids.

This was our 2nd time at this hotel and we will be returning next year, well recommended.

We did not have a good experience at this resort.

The room was over the back of the hotel, above the entrance very loud all night, and we moved room the next day after speaking to the Thomson Rep (Hannah) who was great.

We then did not enjoy Blackpool sorry Alcudia, the Port was better, no Fish and Chip shops etc...

The entertainment a 1 man band who was not funny and just seemed to like embarrassing people, if you like doing the hokey cokey and playing bingo and the box program with Noel Edmonds not sure of the name, it may appeal to you.

We asked and paid to move resort completely and went to Hotel Son Baolo in C’an Picafort which was a lot better, nice promenade and beaches away from the industrial beach of Alcudia, good bars restaurants much much better. Friendlier atmosphere and people of slightly more taste on the whole, similar to Cala Millor.

Thanks to Hannah the Rep very helpful.

If you like home from home holiday, with basic entertainment and are used to traffic noise you will love it...

I absolutely loved this holiday!...

I absolutely loved this holiday! The entertainment was brilliant made the holiday so great!

Definitely want to go to the same hotel if I were to go to Alcudia again. Good weather, one or two cloudy days, the rest were great. The beach is amazing; feels like you are somewhere like the Maldives.

Generally food in Alcudia is relatively expensive but if you go to the non tourist parts it is very cheap. Loved the position of the hotel, right near the beach.

Just got back from Alcudia Beach Apartments, weather was very hot, Alcudia itself was brilliant; this is our second visit and will be booking again for September. Ideal place for families, beach is brilliant, clean, and safe for kids.

Alcudia beach apartments in great location near bars, restaurants etc. five minute walk to beach. Clean and tidy, great pool, apartments cleaned every day apart from Sunday and Wednesday. Air con was needed but not the best we have had. Apartment’s good size with nice balcony overlooking pool. Alcudia beach is also a British only hotel which was fantastic, no Germans.

The entertainment at night was very disappointing, in other reviews we have read people said how good 'minty' was with kids, we found him unfriendly and his entertainment boring, and chose to go to the Sea Club every night instead, they had a great entertainment programme and had more life than the Alcudia beach.

Would recommend the Alcudia Beach and it is worthy of its three star rating.

Just returned from the Alcudia Beach Apartments! What a brilliant time.

Entertainment was excellent. Minty had a style of his own and was so funny if you looking for a laugh pack your bags today and go! Kids have regular water fights, mini discos etc. Also Bingo, What’s In the Box and Mr & Mrs Games on the evenings as well as Parrot shows, Drag Queens etc.

Staff at apartments were also excellent and speak very good English. Location of apartments excellent just a few minutes’ walk to the beach which is clean, has shallow water and has very light golden sand.

Plenty of Bars and restaurants to visit (La Toro Verdi) Green Parrot near the Bellevue complex is an excellent place to eat. (Fillet Steak, Fish etc...) Can't wait to go again.

A fantastic hotel with plenty of amenities for all ages. The apartments are a good size and very clean, we had a poolside view.

The pool is lovely and plenty of sun beds available. No need to save one first thing in the morning. Entertainment good and staff warm and friendly.

The restaurant serves a very good breakfast buffet with plenty of choice at a reasonable price; snacks are also available throughout the day at the poolside bar.

The hotel location is very good and central for all of Alcudia. Minty very definitely makes the evening entertainment go down well. Thanks Minty!

Disappointed with Thomson service - hotel rep good but was let down by the rep on the trip we had booked.

The hotel and staff were excellent.

The only downside was the so called children’s entertainer. Thompson needs to set up a proper children’s club.

Alcudia is beautiful, take a trip to the market in the old town on Sunday morning it’s well worth it.

Also we ate at a place called the Tivoli Terrace, which is across the road from the Belle View hotel, the food is excellent, and also have a kebab from Luna's.

Hopefully we will be going again very soon.

Great location, close enough to all bars yet set further back as to not get disturbed by late night revelry.

Rooms are spotlessly clean, maid service every day but Weds, couldn’t fault them.

Beach is wonderful for kids, 5 min walk to beach. All bars and restaurants nearby are great.

I’ve been here twice, second time we brought several family with us and as my mother compares herself to Mrs. Bucket (Bouquet), it must be good.
