One of the best hotel in your all life
This place it’s magic. This hotel was the best highlight of our 3 weeks vacation allover Turkey. We stayed for 3 nights in the Byzantine apartment. You should not miss it, it’s a little bit more expensive, but you will remember it all your life as one of the best places you have ever been. It's huge, beautifully decorated, comfortable and fascinating. The care of the details, the surrounding landscape and the welcoming and warm atmosphere was unique. It's not like staying in a hotel, but it's like spending a vacation in a friend home.... more
Fairy Chimney Inn treats u like family. Excellent food and accomodation.
Andus was away at the time and it was up to Gulcan to accommodate our family (two kids, 10 and 4) Gulcan prepared the best Turkish meals of our trip and cared for us like we were family. We stayed in the large cave suite that had once been part of a monastery. It was FANTASTIC. The floors (all three levels) were strewn with hand-woven rugs, musical instruments were at our disposal, cozy sitting areas welcomed us at the end of a long day and the views out of our stone carved windows down the valley were unbeatable. Andus... more
Beautiful, Homelike Place
I and my fiance spent two gorgeous days there. As we touched down at Kayseri Airport, Gulcan's brother - who is somewhat shy but kindness itself - picked us up. The whole family virtually supported us during our trip, not only advising on where to go and what to do, but actually taking the trouble to take us to places and do some bargaining for us. My personal favorite were the horse riding at the Rose Valley and gazing at the stars from the Inn's porch, but what we have missed for not staying there longer!
We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay
We decided to stay in the Fairy Chimney Inn due to the many positive reviews on this website. It exceeded our expectations. It is a beautiful, peaceful place overlooking Goreme and we couldn't believe how incredibly good value it was. We stayed in the main cave room and it was huge, with a delightfully cosy bedroom. Andus and Gulcan were the perfect hosts and by the end of our stay felt very much like friends. They run the place in a very friendly and relaxed manner and we enjoyed coming home every evening and chatting with them and the... more
Relaxing stay in a magical place
Goreme and cappadocia is much more nicer than you can even imagine. Fairy chimeny inn was part of the magic of that days I spent there. The owner, Andus, was very nice to come and pick me up when I was too late for the last bus in Nevshehir, after I had a 14-hours bus journey. I could choose for the room: a cave room without heating with bath in front. Or another double room larger and with heating but with a farer bath. I choosed the first one. The heating was not a problem because I had a plenty of blankets for my bed. Even if they asked... more
A magical place
The Fairy Chimney Inn is one of those special places that is hard to describe adequately. It combines the fun of being in a cave house, built with attention to Cappadocian tradition, with incredible comfort, beautiful gardens, panoramic views and hosts who do everything they can to accomodate to your needs. The hotel is in a wonderfully quiet section of Goreme, up on a hill - very peaceful and away from the lights so you can sit outside your room at night and stare at the Milky Way or watch the sunrise over the fairy chimneys in the... more
Special place in my heart!
It's already more than six weeks ago that I spend 19 days in Turkey. As I attended two conferences (Ankara - Istanbul) for my job in quite a short period, I got the opportunity to stay for five days in between. I decided to stay in the Fairy Chimney Inn in Goreme, only a six hours (comfortable) bus ride from Ankara. A collegue of mine, who stayed at the Fairy Chimney Inn prior to the conference, suggested me to go there. She knew I was alone, that I had to write my next paper and she also knew I was looking for a place with personality. To... more
Staying at the Fairy Chimney Inn was the highlight of my trip
I had no idea when I reached Goreme that having chosen to stay at the Fairy Chimney Inn with Andus and Gulcen would be the highlight of my tour of the area and set the scene for a very pleasant tour of Capaddocia. The layout of the inn is exceptional, and it is homey, authentic, and the family atmosphere makes it such a great place to end the day, often seated around the outdoor dining table with the fellow guests to enjoy Gulcen's excellent Turkish cusine. The hotel is neither too big nor too small, and caters to travelers rather than... more
Best accomodation in Göreme, IMO
I agree entirely the preceding review and would like to add some other comments : I stayed several times in the Fairey Chimney Inn, one time over 5 weeks, and the reasons why I love it so much are many. Among them, - its situation, on the very top of the village, far from the agitation of the center of the village, in a nice neighbourhood with many old interesting buildings ; there are super panoramic views from various angles. - the lovely garden, so colourful and giving refreshing shade in summer - it appears like a small... more
The 'Fairy Chimney Inn', my favorite place for rest ..
My name is Jarrod Cagwin, and I am a professional touring musician and ethnomusicologist. The nature of my life and work keeps me away from home for nearly 300 days per year, which is demanding not only physically and mentally, but also at times can be a tremendous strain on the creative process. My favorite place for rest, relaxation, and creative inspiration comes at the Fairy Chimney Inn, in Göreme, Turkey. Here I can find the perfect environment to get my body and mind back on track. The Fairy Chimney Inn is located in the... more
