Best Western Premier Regency Suites & Spa

We stayed here after 5 nights at the Hilton Istanbul. It was nice that this hotel was in the Sultanahmet district and central to all the key sites. Everything was walkable from the hotel, convenient to stores/ restaurants/sites. We always felt quite safe here as there were always people about. It was close to the Four Seasons but on a street with another Best Western and also a variety of hostels. Thank you to all the other reviewers for recommending this place, it was fantastic. This hotel is only 5 months old and in a coveted location in Istanbul, just steps away from the Blue Mosque, The palace and Hagia Sofia. The tram is also a short walk away. The location is very quaint and away from major traffic. We stayed in an Executive Suite, which was just beautiful - hardwood floors, King bed (very comfortable), and decent size bathroom. It is really a high-class hotel. The location is excellent, five-minute-walk from the seashore and the historical monuments. The room is full of comfort and luxury. The hotel has a good kitchen, I tasted the best "su böregi" and "imam bayildi" (Turkish hors d'oeuvre) of my life here. The staff was really friendly. I would like to stay in this hotel again in the future.

Istanbul’s finest hotel. This little gem of a hotel is brilliantly located in the heart of the Sultanahmet historic district, 5-10 minutes walk to a lot of the major sights. It was our anniversary and we were given the "Honeymoon Suite" and a lovely gift of a bowl of fruit. The view from our room was fantastic and so peaceful and the Jacuzzi bath was very welcoming after a long day sightseeing. This 'boutique' hotel opened only 2 months ago and is centrally located right in the middle of the Sultanahmet historic district. Don't be put off by the Best Western branding - this is a fine hotel, if a little pricey. The hotel has a modern gym, Turkish bath and very good, complimentary internet access in lobby and rooms. The main sites and restaurants/bars are seconds away. All the staff spoke English and were very friendly. We wanted to spend a long weekend in Istanbul, but all hotels suggested by all travel guides and those at top ranking of Trip Advisor reviews were full. We picked up the Best Western Regency Suites based on the fact that it was opened just in February 2008 and the only two reviews available on T.A. were positive: is was a good choice. There are not enough reviews about this wonderful little hotel! My husband and I stayed there this past weekend for 3 days and we were welcomed with open arms right from the start. Our flight landed quite early in Istanbul, well before check in time, yet when we arrived, the staff offered us their complimentary breakfast buffet anyway, stored our bags for us so that we could tour the city and offered a few wonderful suggestions on what to see and how long it would take to see it. This hotel opened in February 2008 and is by far the best deal in the Old City of Istanbul (Sultanahmet). The management and staff are super friendly and the service is unbeatable - every time we approached the front desk with a question we were immediately approached by 3 or 4 people willing to help. The rooms are amazing - our top floor suite had a bed, bathroom, and living area that were among the best we have ever seen (and we travel alot), as well as a fantastic balcony from which we could view the ocean. My wife, my 9 y old daughter and I have spent a delightful week in the newly opened Best Western Premier Regency Suites in Istanbul. This property is brand new and has only 16 rooms. It includes a sauna, a Turkish bath and a small but well equipped fitness center. It is located in Sultanahmet, the sweet spot of the historical part of Istanbul, within a few minutes walk from Saint Sophia and Blue Mosque, in a very safe and clean area.
