Gamirasu Cave Hotel

Gamirasu was the perfect end to our month in Turkey. It was luxurious but definitely in Turkey. From the hotel we could hear the sounds of village life and it felt like going back in time. This hotel is a bit out of the way but that was not really a problem as the hotel provided free transport to and from the surrounding towns. Unique & unusual location, in a quiet, unspoiled village. Local children tried to talk to us as we walked through the little village, w/ chickens and goats roaming around. A tour guide and friend recommended this off the beaten path cave hotel and we couldn't have asked for anything better. Service, staff and the rooms are all first rate. The rooms were well decorated and stylish with Turkish towels, carpets and fabrics contributing to the welcoming and warm atmosphere. What a wonderful hotel! Very reasonable for famillies or friendly couples ($150 for a large suite that included two bedrooms that entered into a hall with a bathroom... small). Wonderful porch where you can sit and watch the village kids play across the ravine in the caves and the women bake bread for the village on Wednesday. The staff are also warm and friendly. The only downside was we thought the dinners bland and too expensive. But easy to go elsewhere. Breakfasts were good.

I have traveled extensively for business and vacation and stayed in many nice places throughout the world, but have to agree with my wife when she told me that this was the best place we'd ever stayed. The hotel is set in a narrow valley that opens to a small village. We were told it occupies a former 11th century monastary. Make sure when you book you specify that you want a real cave room. We did not and were disappointed that we stayed in a "fake" cave. The room we got however was gorgeous. A massive bed in a lovely room with a seperate bathroom. The hotel is located in a small Turkish town and you really feel like you are living with the locals. The food was delicious and the staff quite helpfull.

We were staying in Gamirasu hotel from May 5 till May 9, 2007. We booked a deluxe room but were upgraded to the Eagle Nest Suite which is out of your mind. Our friends were staying in deluxe room which was also great. The stuff and managers were very friendly and helpful. They are all ffrom Cappadocia from nearby villages. If ever in Turkey make sure you visit Cappadocia. It is a magical and mystical place. Most of all ,my stay at Giramisu Hotel was an incredible experience. The staff was wonderful and the rooms absolutely amazing. A once in a lifetime experiece you will want to repeat.

I'm Japanese We stayed Gamirasu to enjoy the cave hotel. But it's beyond that. Everything was cute!!! the room, lght, music, bathroom and restaurant,,,, All of them had choosen as to be comfortable for visitor. And also, food was really fresh and tasty. The performance is satisticatable. people who work at there were very helpful. They can suggest you some good tour in Cappadikya. We really enjoyed the time in here. best choice for your juorny!!! that was for me!

It was my delight to spend 4 days and 3 wonderful nights at the Gamirasu Hotel in Cappadocia, Turkey. Everyone at the hotel, from Owner to Housekeeping were so friendly and gracious. While retaining the ancient charm of the surroundings, the rooms were wonderful. We stayed in Cave rooms but all that I saw were equal in charm and attention to detail.
