We almost didn't write this review because we wanted to keep Cirali & the Canada Hotel to ourselves-but that would be soooo wrong! We could waste time talking about Carrie & Saban, but all the other reviews tell you how fantastic they are. We could tell you about the turtles but everyone has done that! The area is so full with natural wonders that you can't help but gloat when you get home!! The only thing that we can add is that the children (age 4+9)are still talking about Cirali even now.
PLEASE DON'T COME!!!

Friendly and welcoming hotel. Carrie and Saban the owners are very helpful and highly efficient people with excellent staff. The hotel is very clean, the food is fresh every day and so delicious. Lovely swimming pool. It is a 10 minute walk to the beach. Carrie organises trips and transfers to and from the hotel. I would highly recommend staying here to everyone.

Canada Hotel excels at providing a comfortable family atmosphere and good food. Its outdoor eating area, with many tables under a roof and a small bar, is inviting. While normally we never eat at the same place twice, we found ourselves here all four nights for four distinct and delicious meals. Carrie makes the rounds every evening, (re)welcoming you and keeping everyone happy.
Many of the clientele are families, so if you don't like kids you probably shouldn't stay here. That said, I don't really like kids but they were all well-behaved (perhaps with the hotel's pool and Cirali's beach providing enough to keep them occupied) such that I ended up not minding. Overall the hotel has a very wholesome feel to it.
Hotel Services
The hotel provides occasional rides to the nearby Chimeras/Yanartas for 5 YTL/person, which is great since it would be otherwise difficult to get yourself there at night. This is one of the things Carrie discusses with everyone individually during her rounds. We also took up the hotel's offer to drive us to the Antalya bus station (a bit expensive) since the local buses weren't running early enough. Laundry is done for 10 YTL per load, hung/line dried only, and returned the next day.
Room
Our street-facing double room was comfortable and quiet. It's not fancy, but it certainly does the job. The rooms are made up every other night, which is a nice compromise. Street noise was unnoticeable. Each room has a little balcony outside, useful for hanging out clothes to dry but barely big enough to sit on and relax.
My only qualm was the utter lack of water pressure in the shower. I suppose they would've looked into this if I had mentioned something, but it was rather frustrating.
Electronics and Wifi
The room requires a card to be in a slot for the electricity to be activated. As someone who travels with many gadgets that need charging, this is normally a huge pain, however Hotel Canada mercifully leaves one outlet active at all times (for the alarm clock, apparently). As a bonus, our outlet had a plug multiplier attached so I could charge a few things without unplugging the clock. Very nice touch. The card is attached to the key ring which you are asked to leave in the office, but no one would notice if you didn't. (Normally I shut off the lights and air conditioning and try to slip out of hotels while my gadgets are charging, but the staff's hospitality and friendliness compelled me to be honest.)
There is a free wifi connection, although it seems to come from the office and I could not get a signal in my room. It worked fine in the eating area (where many people used their laptops between meals) and, thankfully, on the many hammocks and around the pool.
Location and Surroundings
My rating for its location is relative to the rest of Cirali. (Being in Cirali warrants 5 stars on its own.) It is a short walk to the beach, but a walk nonetheless. The distance (750m) makes it less likely that you'll casually stroll down to the beach or into town to see what's going on, but a car is absolutely unnecessary, even when bringing a few item for the beach. The hotel has plenty of free bikes sitting outside for the taking, but then you need to find a place to put it once you get to Cirali (which is more of a problem on the beach than in the town).
Cirali is quiet but not too quiet -- there are a few shops open late where you can buy snacks, drinks, sun block, etc. There were enough people around to keep it from feeling like a ghost town at 11pm during the week.

  • Advice: Pleasantly under-developed and just quiet enough
  • Activities: The hotel for dinner, Chimeras, boat tour, and Olympos for sights

A friendly, family oriented hotel

Normally we plan activity based holidays, but this year we decided a rest & recuperation were the order of the day. We chose Ciralli and Hotel Canada as we wanted somewhere off the mainstream tourist track. We were slightly concerned that our two teenagers would be bored, but it turned out to be quite the opposite. Everyone at the hotel is so helpful and friendly and we met many lovely people around the pool and bar area. The food is traditional, varied and freshly cooked each day. Excursions can be arranged from the hotel and nothing is too much trouble. Even the 10 minute stroll to the beach was pleasant but there are free bicycles and a shuttle for those who don't want to walk.

  • Advice: Ciralli is a very small, traditional Turkish seaside village. It is quiet with stunning scenery.
  • Activities: Off the beach restaurants are best. Boat trip was brillant.

Wonderful family run hotel

We liked the location of the hotel as it was far enough from the village and beach to be peaceful and tranquil yet the village and beach were also easily accessible via a short walk or free shuttle service. We managed the walk several times with a 2 year old on foot.
The staff are warm and friendly and the service is personal and informal. They are flexible and accommodating which I find more important than just having a long list of facilities and services.
We loved the varied and delicious mezze dishes served as part of the evening meals. The half-board option was very good value. The hotel also catered well for our vegetarian diet.
The outside areas were clean and well maintained. The larger pool was great for swimmers and baby pool was perfect for our toddler to splash about in. The lush gardens had hammocks to lounge in and chickens for the children to chase.
The rooms are simple and clean. Ours was cleaned (with sheet and towel change) every other day. It was adequately furnished with enough storage space and comfortable even though we had an extra bed for our toddler.
It was perfect for us with a toddler, but there was a good mix of all types of guests - young couples, older couples, couples with kids, couples with teens, single travellers, Turkish, English, Australian, Canadian, American.. Everyone got on really well.
Overall, I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. It was our best holiday yet and we are definitely going back.

  • Advice: Small-scale and peaceful, has everything you need: beach, restaurants, historical and natural sights
  • Activities: Olympos ruins were walking distance and worth seeing.

We stayed at Cirali-Canada hotel from June 16 to June 29 and loved every minute of it. This is the excellent place for any age group (unless your idea of vacation is nightclubs of West Palm Beach or Las Vegas casinos). In Cirali one can have quiet downtime with your family or friends enjoying the pool, Mediterranean sea, or mountains. Or active vacation with snorkeling, hiking, visiting historical sites and ancient ruins; even dancing at the Olympus discothèque. No matter what you choose you will be surrounded by magnificent unspoiled nature and more than 30 centuries of the history of humankind.
The hotel is small, very nice, clean and safe. It is very green and exceptionally well landscaped: a lot of palm trees, a lot of shade. Staff is great: very helpful, very friendly, excellent service and great cooking! You will definitely feel as a part of the family. Enjoy! And you will want to come back just as we do.

In June this year [2009] we stayed at the Canada Hotel with our friends. We had checked the Canada with 'TripAdvisor' and, after reading the unfailingly good reviews, booked direct with Carrie.
She arranged to have us picked up from Antalya airport and transferred to the hotel, a journey of about 60 miles I guess, and this went without a hitch. We arrived at the hotel quite late [23:00] and found a light meal waiting for us which was very welcome.
Our room, which was on the first floor, was fairly small but very clean and had air conditioning which we could control. The bathroom was a good size and the shower worked well with plenty of hot water, even in the morning. There was also a balcony where we could sit and read our books and look at the garden where the chickens wandered around and guests relaxed in hammocks.
The pool, which is enormous, was very clean and there were more than enough sunbeds to go around - in fact, during our stay the pool was not used that much, except by us, I suppose the other guests preferred the beach!
The food was very good, well cooked and presented and served by cheerful and friendly staff. One member of our party preferred red meat to chicken and this did not cause a problem as Saban was happy to provide an alternative.
The beach is a fair walk, - for us anyway, - but Carrie and Saban provide bicycles for those guests who want to use them, The also have a courtesy bus and will run you to the beach or even to restaurants in nearby villages.
All in all a brilliant place to chill out - and such good value.
Thanks Carrie and Saban.
