Traveller's cave hotel

This hotel has incredible views and is really charming. Built in caves style, the rooms are confortable and cosy. The staff is quite nice and gentle and Bekir (the owner) is willing to give ideas for sightseeing. The breakfast is good and they have a fair relation price-value. The location is good and Goreme is a "must see" in Capadocia.

First of all, please note that although they're owned by the same people, Traveller's Cave HOTEL and Traveller's Cave PENSION are two completely different places. I believe some of the photos on TripAdvisor may be of the pension. Don't less this put you off, because the Traveller's Cave Hotel is a wonderful little boutique hotel! My husband and I live in Turkey and Goreme is by far our favorite place to spend a relaxing, romantic weekend. We've probably been there a dozen times (and counting!). Whenever we can, we stay at Travellers and have yet to be disappointed. The rooms are very comfortable, the jacuzzi baths are great and the people are amazing (there is really nothing quite as good as Turkish hospitality!). Arrived late in the evening, had to get a local to phone up this place to send a bus for us (and the other couple also waiting). Place located at the VERY top of a huge hill, a nice view of the balloons rising in the AM, from the charming little town...good luck walking back up after some drinks in town. Stayed in a 4 bed dorm...kinda a cave, we think? Sheets and covers smelled a bit...old. The door to the room creaked and slammed shut really loudly each time someone let go so, like most hostel experiences, don't expect to sleep, at all.... more

This fantastic and charming, was staying at the hotel four days. Clean, fantastic view and romantic real cave rooms, all equipped shower ... The fireplace is warm and comfortable sleep in cold kapadokia has had a more romantic. Cave hotel is really beautiful and perfect. mr.bekir us a good tour in kapadokiah explained. Just returned from a fantastic week spent at the Travellers Cave Hotel. Everything in the room (cave!) was immaculate, the bed really really comfy, the open fire really cosy during the November days we were there, the view over Goreme towards the valleys was priceless and all the staff really friendly . Didn't want to leave! I'm sure there are lots of lovely places to stay in Goreme but Travellers Cave Hotel really hit all the buttons for us, and beat all our expectations.

When I first arrived, I was shown my "single" room that was within the cave series, I was a little worried that I'd feel claustrobia once the door closed. The couple I was traveling with agreed to swap with me, and I got a smaller room with a window; we were all happy. These are really caves, and as such, it tends to be cool and slightly damp. If you're washing your own clothes, it will take an extra day to dry. Not to worry, though, as sending your clothes out for wash was quite reasonable. We stayed at the pension section of the Travellers Cave Pension and Hotel. Our room was one of the 'cave' rooms - in the back. It was very clean and roomy. Although without a window (we were in the back), and thus was a bit cavey-smelling (damp - naturally), we found that in the July heat, this was a good way to be in a cool(er) room! This was a great find in Goreme. The hotel was clean, well-managed, and had friendly staff. The same family owns a travel agency, and the pension of the same name, so you get everything in one booking, if you want. I would highly recommend it to anyone. It's quite a walk from the main town, but that also means, you get more space, and a better view of the valley too.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in July. Our room was amazing, very cave like and most comfortable bed I've stayed in. Staff were very helpful, picking us up for free from the bus stop when we arrived and arranging day tours for us. Can't fault this hotel and would strongly recommend it to people who are after something a little different.
