Just returned from a fab holiday at the Viva Palma Nova. I didn’t want to tell to many "Brits" about this hotel!
We were the only Welsh Family there and there were only about 6/7 other British families in the hotel, which didn’t bother me at all. So to find a hotel with not many other brits was a bit scary at first but a luxury by the end of the holiday.
We had a brilliant time at this hotel.
I was a bit apprehensive about going as I read a review that slated this hotel. But I have got to say that they must have wanted a five star hotel for the price of a three star!!
The rooms were great. Bedroom was spacious with air con (not a fan that blows the hot air around!) The living room was adequate for the needs, who wants to spend all day in the room!! The sofa beds where comfy, the only thing that kept us awake was the heat and that was dealt with by switching on the very efficient air con. I should know as my partner and I spent the week on these beds whilst my 2 children had the luxury of sleeping in the bedroom!
Rooms were cleaned every day and towels and sheets changed 4 times the week we were there.
The pools were to die for! No getting up at god forsaken hours to book sunbeds with towels and even if you did the staff removed them! This was done a few times we where there when people did try to "book" sunbeds. There were still plenty of beds at all times of the day even at the end of July! There are three family pools and a haven for "over 18s only!" This was a perfect haven for adults wanting to get away from the kids.
The staff where as helpful as can be and went out of their way to get you things.
The kids club was excellent and even though most of the kids there were foreign they all spoke perfect English which made me feel a bit bad especially as 2 of them were from Iceland!!
This is the perfect hotel in a perfect location. Only please don’t go there as I want to book to go back next year and don’t want it to be full of brits!! Sorry and all that but that’s how I feel about some brits abroad.

Hotel was lovely, staff were great and English was very good. Would definitely recommend this hotel. The hotel had a gym, I would say for men as it mainly contained free weights unless you’re a woman who enjoys and can do them! Lol!
The sauna and Turkish baths where nice, they also have a massage room although you have to pay for that cant remember how much though, the apartments had a kids pool, sand area with swings, chute climbing frame and see-saw, they also have a kids club place there. There’s a football and tennis court, volleyball sand area and a basketball net in the football court, overall great complex!
As for the resort its was buzzing every night, the beaches are lovely and your never short of anything to do.
Brilliant holiday!
