What a find!
Tucked away between the mountains and the sea, 7 km from the main road, is the Kibala Hotel. Like the other visitors, we basked in the warmth of Bulent's impeccable hospitality, nothing is overlooked. We were served delicious vegetarian/vegan cuisine, breakfast included fresh orange juice. Everything was easy, and the pace there is very relaxed. The perfect place to wind down. The village has a few shops, car hire and plenty of little places to eat, more down by the beach. You can walk to the beach, the ruins or Chimera. Be aware that there... more
A special place with amazing food!
We stayed here early in the season before everything was in full swing but had a very relaxing holiday. The rooms are private, spacious, clean and comfortable with good showers, heating and air conditioning. The hospitality of the owner and his staff could not have been kinder. However, what really makes this place stand out from the numerous other small hotels in the village is the quality of the food. It is all freshly cooked using local ingredients and is interesting and varied. We had teenage children with us and they enjoyed... more
Beautiful, peace and quiet
We were at Kibala for a week in mid October. The place was lovely, the cabin was great, the gardens lovely and the dry river edged by canyon walls was beautiful too. Bulent's cooking was great (And I'm vegetarian and that was no problem). Mahmud (Hope I've spelt that right?) provided attentive service at mealtimes. I enjoyed Bulent's music too. Cirali is beautiful, the beach was lovely, the snorkelling was great (On the last day i saw a Green turtle). The flames of the Chimera were amazing, and the ruins at Olympos were... more
Fantastic Turkish Delight
We didn't really know what to expect, particularly as we were arriving in the dead of the night (rubbish flight times), but Bulent was on hand to welcome us. The accommodation is reminiscent of stilted Indonesian housing, but with a modern twist - aircon!, oh, and no mozzies. Bulent's culinary skills are second to none; this is some of the best food we have ever tasted, we really enjoyed the fish courses (sea bream and red mullet). The location is fantastic set in the heart of a valley (although the river had ran dry during the course of... more
we found exactly what we were looking for - a paradise
We were looking for an independant, authentic, relaxing and friendly beach family holiday - and that's exactly what we found and even more at the Kibala Hotel. We are a family of 4 and had searched to find a holiday away from the typical high rise resorts with club reps, full english breakfast and sky TV. The Kibala Hotel is a hidden paradise and 'Welcome' is written all over it for its variety of guests. Our 2 boys (3 and 1 years old) loved the place, the people and made themselves very much at home. Bulent and Nes were on hand... more
An "Experience"
We knew it would be good before we got there. The drive through the narrow and winding roads had us holding our breath in anticipation. We arrived a little early but was greeted by Bulent who promptly made chi before showing us to our log cabin (as we preferred to call it). It was beautiful and spacious and it had a bath in the ensuite! The food and mealtimes we referred to as an "experience". You never new what you were getting but there was something for everyone. It was amazing - all cooked and prepared by Bulent himself. We had... more
Kibala - A Little Piece of Heaven
We've just returned from our third stay to Kibala, and love the place more and more every time we return. Anytime I get the chance, I tell people about how wonderful we think both Cirali and especially Kibala are. We love Kibala because of the warm, welcoming hosts, the sumptuous, fresh food (breakfast and dinner are included), and the homey but sophisticated atmosphere. There are just five two-room bungalows spaced out throughout a lush garden that is tended with love and care by the owner, Bulent. Dinners, which include a variety of... more
Be prepared to find Kibala hard to leave!
From the grey rainy skies of gloomy England to balmy 38deg and cloudless days in Cirali, your first visit to the southern mediterranean coast of Turkey may take your breath away. its not just the total absence of coach tours, theme pubs and litter-strewn crowded beaches, just that the sleepy village of Cirali and this hotel seems to have avoided all the excesses of modern tourism. arriving in the middle of the tonight to a warm welcome and our own pristine wooden chalet (one of only 5 spaced well apart!) in lush green gardens at... more
Kibala, one of our best ever
We stayed at the Kibala or our Honeymoon and I have to say despite the sweltering heat (100 + most days) we have never enjoyed a holiday more. The actual experience of staying at the Kibala starts before you arrive with the spectacular drive down on the twisting mountain road into a valley with near vertical rocky cliffs on either side of it. Bulent the owner of the hotel had prepared little gift for me, to my new wife of some flowers and champagne along with a message on a large palm leaf, all the staff were there to see her reaction... more
Idyllic
We arrived a day early, Bulent Coskun, the proprietor, organised a taxi from Antalya and we were led through lush foliage to a clean, attractive and comfortable pine bungalow at 3am, no questions asked. We had a mini-bar feast (even with the mark up, not reaching British corner shop prices). In the morning we were glad to have air conditioning, the shower pressure was great and hot water was made available 24hrs a day. We were amongst fig, orange and pomegranate trees by a river (that flows in winter and spring) with a sheer rock face behind... more
