Melas Holiday Village

We recently returned from the Melas Holiday Village and had a lovely time (4 adults 2 kids), weather very hot with only a slight breeze over the pool area. The waterslides were very good for kids and adults (trouble keeping them off them) the waterslides open at 10am until 12.30pn, they open again at 2pm until 5pm, ice cream is available from 12pm until 5pm onwards (which is a life saver, can go up as many times as you like), their is a small bar situated here which only serves drinks, need to be down before 9am to get a sunbed (unless you speak nicely to the pool man he is more than happy to reserve a bed for you). Breakfast, lunch and dinner was served in the main restaurant (waiters could do with smiling, which is more or less catered for the German's, Russians & Dutch etc) but you can get chips and pasta, you can also get lunch at the main pool were all your activities are held. Entertainment at night was good (alot of energy is put in by the animation team) this finished at 10.15pm, the only problem with this is after the show finished their was nothing else to do (could do with having a disco) food available at 11pm for 1hr at the pool bar (which my son enjoyed) Their was also a Hotel on site which unfortunately the people staying in the Village were unable to use, alot of cats around the pool area at night time. If you do get fed up eating within the restaurant, there are a few good restaurants outside the hotel (The Queen & Brothers) also there is a bar straight opposite the hotel, which we frequented some nights after the show (between the barders and playpark - Yanfus) the guy at the front has a very dodgy scottish accent but he is good fun. We ventured in Side town centre a couple of times and had a browse around the shops and a meal in Charlies overlooking the harbour. Would recommend this hotel for families going for their first time to Turkey
