Hotel Crowded House

Good hotel and value for money. Clean, basic and comfortable room. You receive free wifi and breakfast. Staff were helpful. Only comment is the bathroom. It is a little small. The shower doesn't have a shower curtain so when you have a shower all the water gets wet everywhere. Would recommend this hotel for a one night stay for a visit of Gallipoli.

I stayed in many hotels during my many travels. Hotel Crowded House was one most pleased with its service and the friendly atmosphere. Particularly Pol was most helpful & friendly. The location is excellent being at the very heart of this lovely small town 'Eceabat'. The Gallipoli tour and our guide was perfect and totally fulfilling. My room & bathroom was flawless. The terrace with its breathtaking sea view was ideal for sunbathing during day time and for the excellent dinner after sunset, with stars and the full moon in late evening.

We booked about a month in advance only to arrive and be transferred to their very budget sister hotel (as they were booked out). A rather budget hotel with no air conditioning, sheets and 2 separate beds (still at the same price). As we prepared to leave we were told it was fine for other travelling who had also been shuffled to this other hotel. In my opinion - if you are booked out do not accept another booking. The staff at Hotel Crowded House are so friendly and accommodating, you feel like you've known them for years. Nothing is a problem and they'll go out of their way to help you out- whether it be to book onward travels, take you snorkelling at Anzac Cove, or fix flat tires! The hotel itself is brand new, clean and crisp. Rooms are fitted with new bathrooms, and big, fluffy, white doonas on the beds. It seems to be the only hotel in Eceabat and pretends to cater for people 'doing' the Gallipoli battelfields. The hotel is gloomy, the rooms tiny and stark, the bathrooms unsatisfactory, and most of the staff (other than the manager) are surly and unhelpful. We clambered four flights of stairs with our bags to our rooms which were exytremely small (not even space for a chair) but clean. We stayed as a family of 4 in 2 rooms, which, although basic and small, were very clean with efficient air conditioning (essential in August heat). The staff were all really friendly and helpful. Eceabat itself is not really worth a trip, but the hotel is in a great location for Gallipoli and the ferry to Canakkale. For the money, I think this is hard to beat.

NIce rooms, pretty roomy and very clean and tidy, breakfast pretty good. Friendly staff. Good location to get to Troy and Gallipoli. Would definitely recommend!

Hotel: In the small town of Eceabat, a few blocks from the windy waterfront. The town serves as a jumping off point to nearby Gallipoli. A good casual Aussie bar at one end of town, a 10min walk; though you may be the only people there! (if you go, however, they'll be happy to see you!) We stayed at Crowded House for 1 night, on our way to visit Anzac Cove. Located immediately as you get off the ferry from Canakkale. The rooms are first class, as are the staff. The rooms are pristine. The hotel/hostel itself is only a few months old I believe, however they are very friendly and will help with any tours or activities you wish to do. This new upmarket hostel is like a brand new house. Its clean, comfortable & quiet. I don't know if anyone else was staying there when we were, it was so quiet. The bedroom was big enough but not large. The bathroom was a tiny bit small but it was well appointed. The beds are wonderful to sleep in with soft doonas that are white as snow.
