Hal-Tur Hotel

We stayed at the Hal-Tur in March 2008, the staff were very helpful and welcoming, and drove us up to the entrance of the site - returning our hire car to the hotel which allowed us to have a very pleasant walk through the ancient city of Hierapolis and back down to the hotel through the travertines. I ´m very happy to stay here. It´s so kind and witty. And I just one night stayed here, but I´m really satisfied with this hotel. Nice food, nice host and everything !! The room is very clean, very comfortable. I told you that I love Pamukkale so much. I thank you for having been kind for me. If I could visit here again (Pamukkale) I will stay here in your hotel. Charming place run by a whole family, fronted by 2 very helpful brothers who are the perfect hosts. The room was clean and tidy and had a great view of the travertine. I loved the garden most, with the pomegranate trees laden with pomegranates...so tempted to just reach out and pluck 1 off. According to 1 of the brothers the trees were at least 70-80 years old! We called from another city in Turkey and had no problem getting a room. It had a view of the travertines. The room was clean, and quiet. The pool was great for cooling off in. Tufan and the rest of the staff were gracious hosts. He drove us up to the north entrance of the Hieropolis-travertine site so we only had to walk one way through the ruins and the travertines to the south entrance which is about 100 meters from the hotel. This hotel is so well located, right in front of the "Cotton caste", you would not want to stay elsewhere!! We were warmly welcomed by one of the 2 brothers who own the place with the traditionnal Cay. They even picked us up from the bus station in Denizli (about 15 minutes drive) even if it was not included in the package. The hotel is clean, rooms spacious enough and it is also very quiet at night.

This was my second time to stay at this hotel, and it was indded a smart decision on my part. One of the things that I liked most about this hotel, is that you are truly treated like a guest, not a just a customer. The two cousins that own the hotel are beyond gracious and could not be more accomodating. This hotel itself, was FAR better than any of the others that I saw there. We booked because of the reviews and were not disappointed. Rooms are great, staff are exceptional, they will do anything for you. Food is very good. Location is 100 meters from entrance up the travertines. Quiet. It has an indor pool and sauna in addition to an outdoor pool. Super clean.

(Rating is relative to other hotels we saw in Pamukkale.) We have stayed already twice in Hal-Tur, and every time we have been happy we made the right choice. Rooms are spotlessly clean, have all the confort you may start missing after some time in more basic accomodation (air conditioned, satelite TV, minibar), the location is perfect (front view of the travertine, just 200 mts from the entry to the site), it has a swimming pool where you can relax until the heat has come down, and the staff is just perfect: helpful, friendly, they make you feel you are THE guest to take care of. We came back to Pamukkale after four years and we could confirm that our good memory of hotel Hal-Tur was correct. The hotel staff was incredibly warm and friendly. The hotel has all the comforts that you may need (swimming pool, A/C, satellite TV, minibar etc), plus an excellent position at the foot of the travertine pools. The garden is very pleasant for dinner. We warmly recommend this place to all our friends.
