Levissi Han

We travelled to Turkey as party of four friends, and after visiting bustling Istanbul Kaya was a welcome opportunity to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings. Kaya was exactly what we were looking for, a traditional village unspoiled by tourist domination, a fate which in my opinion has unfortunately ruined so many of the surrounding areas. This is a small complex of individual cottages.They are set in lush greenery reminiscent of an English country garden. The cottages are basic but pretty. There is a good size pool with loungers and a nearby bar! The owner Ibo is very helpful and knowledgeable having lived in the village all his life.He will take you out on his boat around the local bays for swimming snorkeling and a bbq. this place is specially well suited for families with kids age 5 to 15 because of the pool and the enclosed character of the area. you can let them run free (if they are able to swim) and not worry about their whereabouts every five minutes. but having a car or other means of transportation is an absolute must to have the freedom of also visiting other places nearby. its definitly worth it! also you shouldn´t mind cooking for yourself. there are restaurants in the vicinity but doing it by yourself keeps the costs relatively low and... more

My husband and I had a wonderful holiday staying in one of the beautiful cottages at Levissi Han. We went in October and it was quite with just a couple of other guests which was perfect for what we wanted which was a relaxing and quiet holiday. The owners Ibo and Sherri looked after us from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Ibo took us out on his boat a few times and he cooked for us on a BBQ on the side of the boat and I can truly say it was the best food I have ever had. I have just returned from a perfect holiday in Turkey. Levissi Han was recommended by a friend and it lived up to all expectations. I was told that the Turkish/English owners Ibo and Sheri were very friendly and would ensure that I experienced the real Turkey and they certainly did that.
