Hotel Armadams

We first visited the Armadams last October & vowed to return for longer so this year we booked for 8 nights & were not disappointed. The Hotel arranged bikes for us to hire for 7 days which were delivered direct & we were able to store them in the Hotel garage each night so we made the most of the wonderful cycle track & rode about 10 kms each day stopping for a swim (or beer) at lovely locals spots. went to palma for a short break in april nice town weather great the perfect place for a short break.however the hotel was different.facilitiesrooms etc were okay staff quite nice.however the food was awful. the hot buffet breakfast was disgusting the cold not much better.it is the only four star hotel in which i have been given a pot of water and tea bags for my tea.all in all palma is a nice place for a short break but stay clear of this hotel.

Stayed at the Armadams in at the begining of May for four nights. Our room was very spacious and also had a seperate lounge area off the bedroom. The room was clean, as was the rest of the hotel. The hotel also has parking facilities, which we used ourselves. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is approx 15 minutes walk from the Cathedral and City, and is one block back from the waterfront. The area has a mix of local and holiday appartments. Hotel is nice, room are a little dated and should have prob opted for a pool view room, but for a 2 night stay it is fine. hotel is one street away from the harbour and marina and a short cab ride away from the nightlife....loved the abaco bar and hotel puro bar. hotel pool is small but adequate but COLD!!! nice sunbathing terrace though. excellent location for stag and hen dos or singles holidays. palma is very trendy and more upmarket than magaluf alltough its only a 20 min cab ride away if you want a night of tackyness! would stay at the... more

We stayed overnight at the Hotel Armadams. We arrived very early but our room was already prepared and we were allowed to move in. The staff were extremely helpful and the reception staff particularly went out of their way to help. The breakfast was excellent and the hotel is only a short walk to the marina and a gentle stroll either to the Cathedral or Palma citycentre. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, hotel was difficult to find due to the roadworks outside closing the road, but once we arrived the staff were extremely kind and helpful, furnishing us with maps of Palma and advise about restaurants and how to find them. The swimming pools were lovely and never busy. On our second visit we stayed for two nights prior to flying back to the uk. The hotel description highlights "sound proof" rooms. Far from it! The hotel floors are a beautiful marble, and because of that we could hear every step in the rooms above us and through the hall. We could hear every chair scooted along the floor. Seems they move quite a bit of funiture in the early hours! We could also hear the music in the beakfast room very clearly at 6:00 am! Spent four nights in hotel Armadams from 3rd October 2006. Stayed in a quad room which was very spacious and comfortable.The hotel itself is clean and tastefully decorated and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful at all times. The buffet breakfast was of a very high standard with lots to choose from.I travelled with my mother aged 76, my sixteen year old daughter and niece. Had a lovely long weekend here, the staff were extremely courteous and the buffet breakfast was excellent. Our room was huge with a balcony the same size again, the bathroom was FAB jacuzzi bath and a separate shower. The only minor downside is it is a good 10 - 15 mins walk to the bars, restaurants etc. Would recommend Palma and this hotel for a weekend break.

great city hotel with swimming pool sauna steam & jacussi - allrooms are comfortable but rooms at the front of the hotel seem a little noisy - been back to this hotel over 20 times and great service each time
