Great location
Great location, clean, great view from restaurant and free internet access- perfect for a city break.
An Excellent Budget Hotel
My wife and I liked the Adamar and would probably stay there again. It's a boutique hotel, only 25 rooms I think, but it has a lot going for it. We chose it after sorting through a lot of hotels using Expedia and TripAdvisor. One of the things we needed was internet access in the room, which most hotels have these days but not all. Some have it but charge a daily fee, but it's free at the Adamar. We're retired, so we don't like to spend more than we have to. The rate through Expedia was only $76 a night, so that was very... more
Great find
We booked this hotel on the strenght of the reviews on Tripadvisor, and were not disappointed. The hotel is well located - only about 5 minutes walk from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, and 10 minutes from the Grand Bazaar. The view from the restaurant is beautiful and makes breakfast a very pleasant experience. The first room that we were shown to was, to be honest, very small (and it did smell of lamb!). We were just about to phone for some air freshner when we got a call from reception to say that there was a bigger room if we wanted... more
Fantastic hotel, fantastic staff
This hotel is just a few blocks from everything in Sultanahmet. But it's the staff that make this hotel. I've never been treated so well anywhere in the world. Erol and all the rest are dedicated to helping make your stay as easy and pleasurable as possible. My daughter even loved it, and she's picky. =D The metro train is just down the street. This will whisk you to just about anywhere. The breakfast is great and included. The view from the penthouse restaurant is the best in the city. The hotel is clean and charming. But if a... more
Excellent
We stayed at the hotel from December 28 to January 2 , 2009. The hotel is new and comfortable, premises are kept clean, staff is friendly and always at your diposal.
Fabulous Stay at Adamar
I would recommend the Adamar Hotel without hesitation. We stayed at the hotel for four nights in December. It was very, very cold but we loved coming back to our warm hotel room after a full day of sightseeing. As every one else has said, the location could not be better. It is extremely close to the Aya Sofya, Blue Mosque, Topkapi, Basilica Cistern and even the Grand Bazaar. It is also seconds away from Sultanhamet Fish House which is a highly rated restaurant on Tripadvisor and is a good bet for lunch or dinner. It is also very... more
Istanbul Adamar Hotel Review
I stayed at this hotel in November 2008 with my wife and daughter. The rooms are small but the staff working there is excellent and the service was very good. The location of the hotel can not be beat. It is only minutes walk from the Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar. To add to the hotel, the restaurant serves an excellent breakfast that is included in the room price and meals in the restaurant for the evening are special as the view of Istanbul is the best in the city. I recommend this hotel and am sure there is no finer view of... more
Great Hotel
This hotel has an excellent location. Its a (really) short walk away from the places where you want to be such as the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, teh Basilica Cistern and th Grand Bazaar. The staff, from the receptionist, bellboys, and the staff at the restaurant in teh top most floor, were all helpful and warm. The restaurant on their top floor also gives a great vantage point to see the sights of Istanbul. If ever I get the chance to go back to Istanbul, this is still where i would stay. I truly recommend booking your... more
Great location, clean rooms, friendly staff
I came here with my parents who are in their 70's, so this was a great place to stay, being right in the center of the old Sultanahmet district with many sites within walking distance. It's a failry new hotel, so it is clean, bright, and cheerful. the people who work here and upstairs in the restaurant are very friendly and helpful. For all North American travellers, there is a 110 V plug in the bathroom in case you need it, so that is great. Definitely highly recommended!
