Ada Hotel Istanbul

Ada Hotel is in a nice side street not far from the major historical sights of Istanbul - about a 3-5 minute walk to the Hippodrome and Blue Mosque. The owners are very nice and helpful. They helped us find restaurants (Grup Restaurant around the corner, very tasty) plus arranged tickets for the Whirling Dervishes and a day tour. The location really couldn't be better - it's just a 3 minute walk from the Blue Mosque. The room was very clean and the breakfast on the balcony was fabulous. We really don't have any complaints - our host Dowan (apologies for the phoenetic spelling!) was polite, friendly, helpful and accommodating, allowing us to check out a little late and arranging taxis to and from the airport. We would highly recommend staying at the Ada.

My boyfriend and I just arrived from Istanbul; we stayed at the Ada Hotel Istanbul (I chose it after reading all these good reviews at the Trip Advisor web site) and I cannot be happier I chose this hotel too! My fiance and I spent two very wonderful weeks at the Ada hotel.,we got room 203 which we highly recommend (as there are only about 12 rooms or so), everything in the room seems new and it has a wonderful jacuzi with the views of the marmara sea and a historic mosque. location is very good in Sultanahmet and the owner Dr. Dogan is a very pleasant and polite person. we had an excellent time and we truly recommend this small hotel.

I had my Beadventure Travel group stay at the Ada for 5 days and it was an excellent choice. The owner, Dr. Dogan Sumengen could not have been more helpful and kind. He helped us with our travel arrangements and made sure we were all well taken care of. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the breakfast table was a feast and the location could not have been better for our needs. Plenty of good local restaurants within close walking distance and altogether a delightful experience

The Ada Hotel was a great experience - within walking distance to most of the tourist attractions, beautiful view and friendly, helpful owner/manager.

Ada cannot be beat in terms of price and location if you are traveling to Istanbul for the first time. The rooms are extremely clean and the owner, Dr. Dogan Sumengen, is extremely helpful and warm. Just make sure to take a card from the hotel as it has a map on the back, handy for taxi drivers in case you have a late night.

The Ada Hotel is a real gem in Istanbul. For my wife and I it was one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. Not because it was the most luxurious hotel, but rather because it was like staying with family who really care for you. The owners are a truly delightful couple for whom nothing is too much trouble. The owner,Dr. Dogan Sumengen,is fluent in English,French,and several other languages and takes personal charge of your stay.. Clean,modern rooms and an oplutent breakfast add to the pleasure of the stay. In addition,this small hotel is withing ten minutes of the major historic sites of Istambul. My girlfriend and I booked our stay based on reviews on Travel Advisor and were happy with our decision. We thought it was a bit pricey but after staying at another property in Istanbul, we decided that Ada was far superior.
