A Delightful place
from Dark_77
Located right at the end of the Sultanahmet old but rustic area, the YusufPasa Konagi is literally 3-4 minutes down from the streets where all the action on that side of Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia are. 30 metres up the road is a street filled with restaurants, small shops and cafes which range from turkish coffee shops to australian pubs and bars. Two more minutes up the road you can find area just below Blue Mosque with evening music gardens, a small range bazaar, and the centre of Istanbul's culture - plato with two famous buildings.<br...

unforgettable

We will never forget neither our holidays in Istanbul nor the staff of the hotel YUSUF PASA KONAGI, We had a great time, all the staff was so kind to us especially to the kids (5 and 10 years old ). We had a strong feeling that we were at a family house no at a strange hotel , All the staff was very helpfull , very smart I was so happy that my parents and my kids enjoyed their stay, by the way , my kids are very fussy and my parents and I were very surprised there were not complaining about any thing , espeicially when they...

Great value hotel
from celebrated_life
This hotel let me book in through the web without payment and arranged free airport transport both ways. I got an extra discount for cash payment. The location was excellent and the room just like any standard hotel bedroom in much more expensive hotels. The stallite TV only had a couple of channels in each language but that's enough anyway. The rooms are lovely and the only thing is the small bath. I would have liked a long soak after trailing round all the sights. The breakfast was lovely (apart from the coffee which is instant)....

Oasis in Sultanahmet
from sparkatmarley
Just returned from an amazing 5 nights in Istanbul. Stayed in the suite of the Yusuf Pasa Konagi which is ideally situated for all the Old Town attractions and nearby bars/restaurants. The staff were very very friendly, curteous and helpful. The roof top restaurant has magnificent views over to Asia and the excellent buffet breakfasts were served up there. Very quiet location and no problem getting a good nights sleep. We could walk almost everywhere within reason. Great value for money.well worth visiting their website and...

Perfect Location for Tourists, Kind Staff, Basic Accomodations
from ktimene
I just returned from Turkey as a young American gal traveling solo. Despite some of the other reviews, the staff was warm, efficient and knowledgable. The young staff especially was very friendly and accomoadating The delicious and exhaustive breakfasts had an AMAZING view of the Bosphorous, which was awe-inspiring. The hotel is a quick 5 min walk to the Haghia Sophia, Blue Mosque AND Topkapi Palace, and about a 15 minute walk to the Grand Bazaar. They had free internet use, which was very helpful. Although the room was basic, it was clean,...

Apart from a few nice wooden doors, an absolute dump with surly staff
from pro5
This place is its own worst enemy. We stayed here at the end of what was an otherwise fantastic two-week trip in a beautiful and very welcoming country and received surly service and stayed in conditions well below a 3-star rating for 125 euros a night. There are far better hotels in the same area for less money whose staff actually care. The old Ottoman doors and wooden exterior don't make up for the fact this place is run on the cheap with blatant disregard for the guests following the niceties upon arrival that run up to an aggressive...

Pretty good value for the money
from JTSF
We stayed here 7 nights in late June 2007, paying 75 euros/night for a double room. Not a bargain, but it appears to be the going rate for this part of town. The hotel is pretty well located in the old city, within walking distance of the major sights. Our room was a comfortable size, clean and in nice condition, though not fancy. The front desk staff was very helpful. There is one computer with free internet access that was always available. A very good breakfast buffet is included, and served in the lovely terrace restaurant with wonderful...

OK Hotel, but eat outside
from ZekeRenton
We stayed 3 nights at Yusuf Pasa Konagi. Although the rooms are on the small side, it was an OK place to stay. Exception is the restaurant on the roof; great view but very slow service and they could not serve what was on the menu (there was no soup and no desserts during our dinner). Front desk is helpful, but I would expect them to be a little more proactive when we all got sick one day. Also, at 120 Euros a night for the family, it certainly is not the cheapest place to stay during off-season. The location is great, just a...

Good place to stay
from A TripAdvisor Member
I stayed in the hotel for two weeks in september and october 2003. The Hotel is located in a quater on the european side not far from the main attractions (just five minutes walking to Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque) The neighborhood is quiet and clean and I felt very safe. There are only small streets around the hotel and only a few cars come along. The only thing that is a noisy is the train. The station is approximately 500 meters away. The train comes approximately every 15 minutes but only during the day not at night. The builing itself...
