Villa Konak Hotel Kusadasi

Everyone looking for a quite and peaceful holiday with a bit of culture & history in it, should stay in Villa Konak Hotel where we have stayed for a week in June, without our children(for the first time after many years). We met the owner the very first day while having free of charge afternoon tea with some increadible home cooked biscuits in the couryard under amazing citrus fruit trees. Hotel Villa Konak is a small family run hotel. We have had the pleasure of staying here on holiday for the past four years as we consider it offers tremendous value for money, but more importantly because it offers the 'homely' touch which no other hotel can offer. For instance the 'tiffin' at 5 o'clock every day when free tea and cakes are served to guests free of charge by the staff in the luxuriant gardens. I can't believe anyone could dislike this hotel. It is small,charming and I don't think the owner could have been more helpful. The lemon room is a bit noisy as near the road but the owner was happy to move us and we ended up staying 4 extra nights. There is tea & cake in the afternoon, wireless internet access, a pool, honesty bar and an excellent location. We weren't so keen on Kusadasi itself very over developed and only visited to see Ephasus (which after Pompei was a bit of a let down). We did however on the hotel managers... more

The Villa Konak Hotel in Kusadasi really is what the other reviews say - an oasis of calm in the middle of a busy resort! When you arrive it doesn't look much from the outside, but you step into another world - a beautiful garden with jasmine and fruit trees is the first thing you see. It's so peaceful - mainly thanks to the 'no children' policy, which, in the height of the summer season, is an absolute luxury! We found this hotel in the small and charming hotel of Turkey book. We used to live in Turkey and have travelled a lot here and this is one of the worst hotels we ever stayed here. We have stayed in other hotels from this book and found them to be very cute, but this not so. The staff were not freindly at all. Our room was ok, bed not so comfortable but clean, shabby brown sofa in the corner which if they decided to cover in white coton would make the world of difference. We stayed at Villa Konak during our honeymoon this summer. When we ended up getting stuck in Greece because the ferries were cancelled for one day, we communicated via email with the hotel and they were great about keeping the room available. Also, they welcomed us with roses and a bottle a wine since we were on our honeymoon. The Villa Konak is a wonderful oasis in the middle of a very busy area of Kusadasi. My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Konak Hotel for three nights in May 2006. It's a real gem, and a great room for the price. The rooms are spotless, with the most comfortable mattresses I've slept on in a long time. The proprietor is extremely friendly and hospitable, and his wife gave us delicious, fresh-baked scones one afternoon as we were lounging in our room. I wanted to share my feelings when I saw Villa Konak Hotel on this site.We were there with my husband last summer.It was a delightful experience.Everybody who plans to visit Turkey & understand Turkish style and live this more then 500 years old culture MUST STAY IN VILLA KONAK HOTEL. There is something for everbody.Shopping paradies & excellent sea & sun & great food. Highly recomended

my first trip to turkey/kusadasi the villa konak is a great place to go. the staff are more friends than staff. we had some great nights. the sitting to breakfast round a table for about 18 people was very different you soon became fiends. we hope to return in the future soon. And i hope Ali and wife have their new babies [ twins], delivered saftley.

Have just returned from a week's stay at the villa Konak and can thoroughly recommend it. It is exactly what it says on their webiste 'an oasis of calm'. It is situated on a (rather steep) hill, very close to the main centre, as you enter through the door it opens out into a beautiful garden area, with rooms organised around a courtyard, in a U shape. All the outside areas are pretty and well maintained. There are lots of lovely places to sit, in shade or sun. The pool is great and the views are lovely. The rooms are simple but fit the bill... more
