The Mediteranni is a very pleasant hotel which is more deserving of a 4 star rating than it’s current 3 star rating.
The hotel is very well maintained, inside and out, the grounds are fantastic.
We stayed at the Mediteranni on a half board basis and found that the food was very good, wide choice, especially the desserts.
I would have no reservations in recommending this hotel, or the resort of Cala Blanca, which is described as being small, but has all the necessary amenities for a great holiday.
The beach is small, but pretty the sun beds are expensive on the beach a bed and parasol for 16 euros, so try the cheaper option less than half the price on the grass bank.

This holiday was a disaster from start to finish. We were placed in the basement room which was already occupied by ants! Not only this but we were right beneath the noisy lounge, which made going to sleep impossible until the entertainment had finished.
Having checked the Thomas Cook file to see when the Rep would be available in the hotel, we waited to speak to her for that entire hour and she didn't turn up! Therefore we had to wait for the welcome meeting to see her instead, where I requested to be moved rooms. This was arranged, but not for another two days. In the meantime I was told someone would look at our room to get rid of the ants - this didn't happen.
When the day came to move rooms there were more ants than ever and I couldn't wait to get out! However, the receptionist was extremely unhelpful when I asked for the new key. Only telling me 'One Moment' while she faffed with the same piece of paperwork, looking distressed that she didn't know what to do. Then after realising this piece of paper wasn't going to help her continued to see other guests coming to reception, whilst completely ignoring me. I didn't have a clue what was going on! After about 45 minutes of waiting at the reception desk -being told nothing - another receptionist came along (who I assume was more senior as this one was very rarely on reception) who asked what we were waiting for and handed us a new key straight away! So it appears we were held up (wasting valuable sunbathing time) for nothing!
I will however add, that whilst the receptionist was useless, the staff in the restaurant were faultless - very friendly and efficient.
Thankfully, the new room was ant free, but still noisy as this time we were on the 1st floor - directly above the entertainment. If you do decide to stay at this horrible hotel I would advise asking for a high floor.
The Thomas Cook rep again proved to be unhelpful, by advising us that the Thomas Cook file was always in reception and acted as a 'Silent Rep' - answering any questions while she wasn't available. Well the 2nd week the Silent Rep was very Silent as it wasn't in reception at all! Which is just what you need when you want your flight details home! In addtion to this I organised to meet up with her to arrange a trip, and when I did we were told it was fully booked! I will never go with Thomas Cook again, only ever Thomsons from now on who I've never had problems with.
The pool area was also over-run by ants so I didn't use this at all. The beach was small, with lots of jelly fish in the sea.
The only good aspect of this holiday was the weather. There were also a few nice restraunts and pubs in the area, such as the Chinese just round from the hotel and the Irish bar.
Then just to finish our holiday from hell off nicely, our flight was delayed by five hours. Thomas Cook striking again for their efficiency, only giving us a letter of apology whilst boarding the flight which explained that it would be delayed (already kind of knew that!) and the reasons why.
