Wonderful holiday , hotel rooms excellent, service good and views amazing. All in all a wonderful holiday. If I have to be pedantic, the food although good is a little reptitious, the shuttle buses into town could be more frequent and should run in the evenings as well as during the day. The entertainments could be more professional and frequent as the evenings can be a little boring unless you taxied into town. I was in Hawthorn resort 2009 July - in a deluxe room. When we arrived to the Hotel at 3pm, our room was not ready. They asked us to have a lunch while our room was getting ready. The food was the worst food it can be. I was about to think, how bad hotel i booked. After the lunch we went to our Deluxe room which was one of the best hotel room i have ever seen. Great hotel wıth the most amazıng rooms ın the area. All rooms are nıcely decorated and the ınterıeur ıs superb. Most rooms have a stunnıng vıew from the balcony overlookıng the habour and the lıttle ısles ın the sea of Turgutreıs. The buffet food ıs great wıth a wıde range of choıse. This hotel has only been opened a year and like everyone that we met, we were more than happy with the modern bedrooms and the pool area. That said, we also had the same complaints as everyone else, regardless of nationality. We had a suite which was large with a huge balcony and spectacular views. What really annoyed us was that the rooms were often not serviced until very late afternoon, usually after we had complained that we needed to shower for dinner. We've just returned from a week at this hotel having previously said we'd never go to Turkey - we'd certainly never go back. Being tempted by the previous reviews, we decided to chance this hotel but were quite disappointed. Agreed there were some positives - the view from the small balcony was lovely -overlooking the sea & marina with wonderful sunsets. I have just returned from a week's stay at this hotel [12/9]. What a disappointment after reading the reviews before going. The hotel is definitely not a 5 star. I have to say that the bedroom was the best I have stayed in. It was big, with plenty of room and nice decour. The view from the balcony was stunning. However, the shower leaked badly, causing floods on the floor everytime it was used, and the room itself was not cleaned properly. This is a very nice hotel, with a beautiful setting and pool area. This hotel is definitely a step above the Hawthorn Suites in the US. Breakfast was one of the best spreads I've ever seen. Huge variety of American and Turkish foods. rooms are very spacious and nice with very comfortable beds. the location isn't really convenient for access to town, but it's a quick taxi ride or you can take the shuttle provided by the hotel

This hotel really is 5* and in a true international sense. We had our 2 children with us and they provided a very good fold away bed (proper mattress and base) and a baby cot.The double bed was huge and the room still had space for a couple of chairs and a triple wardrobe.
